I found this property to have a great view of Cruz Bay, however, I also found it to be less than expected. The furnishing are tired and worn and the bed linens were old ,the mattresses were less than comfortable. The kitchen cupboards were in need of cleaning or demolition. The owners were very helpful with all what St. John could offer. Our host was very cordial and very helpful when the kitchen sink sprung a leak .

We pride ourselves on our charming, yet simple West Indian furnishings. We do our best to "refresh" and update the furnishings, as needed. (In fact, all the major appliances have been replaced within the past 5 years & the furniture has been reupholstered. Replacing the mattresses is actually on our list as the next priority. On a small island, such as St. John, it is not as easy as on the mainland to arrange purchase and delivery of large durable goods on short notice. We regret the timing of your stay was such that the new bedding was not yet available). We appreciate your lovely comments regarding our host. We do try to be as accommodating and helpful as possible to all of our guests, as has been attested to by many of our visitors during our 11 years as owners/managers. Having been to the islands many times, this was the first time I chose a villa in Cruz Bay. Naturally I was nervous since we were traveling with dear friends of ours, BUT when we arrived, we were met at the ferry dock as promised, and Tony could not have been more friendly and accommodating. When we arrived at the villa, we all found it to be exactly as pictured and even more. This inviting, beachy home is very well appointed with all the comforts you need - the open floor plan has a wonderful great room and full kitchen, with two master bedrooms at opposite ends of the house - each with private baths although one can double as a main bath for any guests you may invite. Privacy is no issue here if you are traveling with friends/another couple. Again, Tony was a wonderful host and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. A true gentle soul; a quality we all loved about him. If you are looking for a villa with granite and marble and all the fancy things, this may not be the home for you. But, if you are looking for a cozy and truly "beachy" home that fits in perfectly with the surrounding tropical environment, this is the place for you! It has a gorgeous patio with a wonderful deep pool that overlooks St. Thomas and at night it is especially magical when you can sit in the double swing on the patio and watch the lights of the neighboring island twinkle away. Please try Waterfront Bistro and ask for Tony and also Zozo's - Mark is the manager there and was a most gracious host (the food at both is excellent!). My husband and I enjoyed this home so much we have already made reservations to return in May to once again enjoy our little peace o' heaven - it truly is!

We stayed here the week after Thanksgiving. It was even nicer than the photos. Very private and quiet but we could walk into town at night and take a cab back. Convenient to everything. Loved it so much wanted to spend my last day just at the house. I would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

We loved the house so much that on our last day I was tempted to just stay at the house. There is lots of room for relaxing. At night we walked into town and took a cab back. It was convenient but quiet. The pool was great for lounging around after coming back from the beach. The house was actually better than the photos. We would recommend to friends and would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I were inspired to go to St. Johns after some friends of our returned from vacationing there. My wife and are more less private people and wanted to stay in a house rather a hotel or complex. We began our search on VRBO, after looking at many properties, if you are like me, you often wonder if they are really as they appear. Well, I am here to tell you that Peace O Heaven is everything it says it is and more. We traveled the entire island during our stay and I never once saw a place I would rather stay than Peace O Heaven. Sure there were some properties that were very private and secluded, but they all came with a very high price also. The Peace O Heaven is very well priced for the accommodations that are with it. I would highly recommend this place if you are thinking of vacationing in St. Johns. The owners are great people and a pleasure to work with through your reservations.

We visited Peace O’Heaven for a special family celebration. After talking with Ruthellen, we knew this was the right place for our family. Her personal approach was appreciated and it removed every concern we may have had about renting. Once we arrived, Mark met us at the dock and took care of everything as promised, and more! He was excellent with every detail including recommending places to visit and eat. The house was clean and just as it appears in the listing. It had everything a family needed and more. The huge doors in every room leading to the pool deck let in the breeze and allowed us a wonderful view of the island. The pool was a hit for our 3 kids after a day of snorkeling. The house is located on the hillside so a jeep is recommended. It didn’t take long to find our way around and visit many of the beaches on the island. They are each unique and well worth the time to see. We can’t thank Ruthellen, Andrew and Mark enough for making it a perfect place to celebrate our special occasion. We have already recommended it to several of our friends; we just hope they take us with them when they visit! I’m sure we will be back in the future.

We had a wonderful vacation. Our greeter Mark, met us at the rental car agency and we followed him to the villa. It was amazing! The view was spectacular. It was everything that the pictures indicated. We felt right at home. It was nice to eat some of our meals in, instead of out every night. The pool was very inviting. We didn't even have to use air conditioning-the ceiling fan was plenty. The villa was clean and comfortable. It was convenient to town. We snorkled at most beaches and saw an octopus, squid, a sea turtle and an array of colorful fish. Ruthellen was very helpful with any questions or concerns we may have had and gave a courtesy call the night before our arrival. We dined at The Lime Inn and The Fish Trap. Both were very good. I would recommend this villa to both friends and family. Appetizers and happy hour at The Beach Bar, watching the sunset, was a daily ritual. This was our fourth visit to St. John and we look forward to our fifth!

Captain Magic and Ruthellen: Peace of Heaven was wonderful, the view, the location and the island. Your photos were very accurate so there were no surprises. You were great during the planning stages and I am sorry I did not get to meet you both. Mark was great- he was very helpful and always available. ZoZO's was great for dingin and of course Mark took great care of us. The Lime Inn, The Banana Deck and Westin's Cruz Bay Prime were all great. Courtesy care rent was OK- they gave us a Escape that was pretty beat up- I would have liked a better car. We took a trip w/ Cruz Bay to Jost Van Dyke on their CAT- it was wonderful- the crew is very attentive. Hope to return to St John some time in the future. Wow - what a way to spend our honeymoon! Peace 'o Heaven was the perfect respite after months of planning and weeks of celebrating. We loved sitting by the pool and watching the boats come in and out of the bays, grilling out on the back deck, the ease of getting in and out of town for quick visits to the markets and, of course, snorkeling at the myriad of beautiful beaches. Peace 'o Heaven is perfectly stocked with everything you need for a relaxing visit on St. John. We've been to St. John 2x now, and we'll definitely return!

We had a fantastic time in St John! Peace O Heaven villa came fully loaded with everything you could possibly need for a perfect relaxing vacation. The views from the villa are absolutely gorgeous and the pool was so refreshing to come back to after a day out snorkeling on so many beautiful beaches. Our first stay at Peace O Heaven was perfect! The house was comfortable and layed out beautifully. We loved the pool, the view, and the iguanas. Our days were filled with snorkeling, relaxing, eating and exploring the island. Be sure to go to Compass Rose Restaurant where you can eat a good meal and play putt-putt golf. We were lucky to tear ourselves away and visit your beautiful island with its many gorgeous beachs and bays for the fun and the sun and some stellar snorkeling. For future visitors- try Trunk, Maho, Cinnamon, Hawk's Nest and Honeymoon Bays for the prettiest beaches. If you get an opportunity to visit with your gracious owners, do not pass it up. We stayed at Peace of Heaven for our honeymoon and loved it. Very private, great location close enough to town but yet far enough where it was very quiet. John & Lesley's Honeymoon This was our first time to St. John, and we are looking forward to returning. Loved the house, the view, pool...and the PRIVACY (after all.... it was our honeymoon!) The best overall dining experience at "Asolare"(Make reservations in the 5:30ish hour for a table by the railing with an amazing vew) However, you can't beat grilling by the pool in the privacy of "Peace o' Heaven" with a sunset and a stunning view. Great fun was had by all here at "Peace o' Heaven" on St. John!...it's so very quiet and comfortable- the views of St. Thomas and the sunsets are beautiful! Another nice trip to "Peace o Heaven' with Carol & Jerry Gehl. It's a great place to play with midwestern relatives. This house is just perfect; constant breezes and the best views as well as the big pool! Breakfast poolside was better thn any restaurant, but we did indulge at Limetree (twice), Fish Trap, Cafe Roma Paradisio, & Asolare as well as at Shipwreck Landing. Your kitchen provided EVerything we needed- thanks so much- right down to the garlic press and cheese slicer! The website photos just don't do it justice- we were charmed by the spaciousness, the vaulted natural wood ceilings, the four double doors onto the pool, the polished wood, the wicker/bamboo, the uncluttered look and the flowers' We don't want to go home!
