  The description of the unit we rented was very accurate which was great help. When we arrived we felt like we had already been there before. We enjoyed our stay immensely & would definately recommend this place. It was very quiet, comfortable & relaxing. We found it to be well located to shopping, dinning, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking & just plane exploring the island.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing.

  We found the unit that we rented to be quite satisfactory. It was well maintained, very well equiped & very comfortable. The beach across the street was a lot of fun. The pool at the complex was fabulous. We found this place to be conveniently located to shopping, dinning, swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, ect.

  From the guidebooks, gear (sand buckets, kick & boogie boards and snorkeling) and the location (right across from the beach) to the prompt resolution of a flickering light, everything helped us have a wonderful holiday on the Big Island. Mahalo!

  This was my first trip to Hawaii and the first time I used VRBO. I was in Hawaii to compete in the Ironman. Lorraine was very easy to work with and quick to reply to all my inquiries. The unit is clean and close to many activities in the Kona area. Only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 is the fact that it's a little further away from the start/finish line than I'm used to (roughly 4 miles). We had 3 adults in my party, and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. The lanai is a great way to start your morning. Did not use the TV or AC that much, but when we did, everything worked fine. Parking was convenient. The unit has most everything you will ever need (extra sheets, towels, boogie boards, coolers, etc). Another big plus is that the complex is quiet. A huge bonus when you're preparing for the IM. Only sound we heard was the ocean waves crashing on shore when we left the sliding glass doors open. Pool area is great and the beach across the street is awesome. We all enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

  The condo was perfect. Great view of White Sand Beach from the lanai. Also, we strolled to the beach in minutes. Great parking and facilities. Ceramic tiles throughout, makes it so friendly. We saw turtles at the beach everyday! I can't say enough great things about this place, Mitzi's willingness to make our stay wonderful and the helpfulness of Lorraine who manages the condo for Mitzi.

  Enjoyed our stay at White Sands Village, was very comfortable. We had a great view of the beach and saw whales right from the balcony. Very convinent location for touring the Island but also close to beach if you don't want to get into the car. Can not wait to come back. Comfortable without being fussy, having use of beach chairs, towels, and coolers was great! Everyone that worked at White Sands were very friendly and helpful. Lorraine, the manager of our condo is one of the kindest and helpful people you could ever want to meet. The grounds were very well kept, parking was convinent. Love the Big Island and WSC and looking forward to returning!

  Aloha Shepards!! What can we say but FABULOUS!! An absolutely wonderful experience and we were thrilled to share it with our 2 girls - Maddie 13 and Lori 15. Kahalu'u Park - tons of fish and we swam with turtles. City of Refuge was also great, we even took in the cultural days - perfect timing. Volcano Park - well worth the drive, called home - Pennsywana, NJ - from the crater rim. Luau at Royal Kona lots of fun. Everything we needed was in the condo, the pool and BBQ were great!! We are going back home with lots of memories and pictures which will last a lifetime.

  This is a GREAT GREAT GREAT condo complex. Great location, great floor plan, great courtyard. We loved the beach right across the street, the incredible Bar-B-Q area, and supper on the lanai. We stayed at a different unit four years ago, and this is the first place I checked out for our return trip this year.

  I would like to welcome you to our favorite place on earth; I hope you find it as comfortable and inviting as we do. We are new owners but during this short time we have furnished the bedrooms with completely new bedroom suites including mattresses and linens (one queen and a set of twin beds). All other upholstered furniture is either new or newly refurbished. We have two full baths and a full kitchen stocked with the basics (salt, pepper, sugar, tea, coffee filters, various spices, laundry detergent, etc.). Be sure to stop by and take inventory before you go to the store. We should already have most of the basics.The things we like best about our place are the atmosphere and the view. We are the third condo from the ocean and over look the pool as well as have a clear view of the beach. You can sit on the 27' lanai with your favorite beverage and watch the sun set, being sure to watch closely for the green flash. If it gets a little warm during the day, come inside and turn on the air conditioner, open the curtains on the two 8' siding glass doors and watch cable TV/DVDs, or just relax and read.The kids can run across the street to the beach (they don’t call it Magic Sands for nothing).
