Seaview - Gorgeous House & View, Private Pool & Hot Tub

Year Purchased: 2004

Why the Owner Chose Gulf Beaches

We bought our home at St George Island after looking at several other areas. St George offers the best combination of very low population density (no high rises), one of the top 10 beaches in the US,one of the top fishing spots in the US, and a nice variety of local stores that offer all we need when we visit. Additionlly, it a nature lovers area with lots of estuary areas as well as a 7 mile long state park that is nationally known. It is common to see egrets right on the beach and SGI is known for its turtle nesting areas.

The Unique Benefits at this House

When we go to SEAVIEW, we enjoy the vast beautiful beach and our private pool and hot tub. Words can not describe the beauty of the nightime skies from the hot tub.....SGI does not have any street lights so the skies are more visable. We also like to take walks on the beach or in the estuary which is one block back of our home. And then we like to bicycle on the 10 mile long bike path in front of our home that is mostly flat and easy to bike! And of course, we often do nothing at all but relax on the deck in our rocking chairs! We also like the quality and variety of the numerous restaurants on St. George as well as those in close by Apalachicola.

Owner's Map of Gulf Beaches

Welcome to SEAVIEW! We have been coming to St.George Island since 1992 when our kids were young. The initial appeal to St. George Island wss the vast, beautiful white sand beaches with no crowds and the overall laid back atmosphere. And you know what? St. George is still like that! A "crowded" day at the beach is seeing 20 people in either direction.... for miles! Additionally, St George is a safe place...from the Gulf waters being gentler than the Atlantic to the fact that most people on SGI do not lock their car when they go out...because they do not need to.
For 10 years, we rented homes at SGI and then decided to purchase. Seaview is our 3rd home and we purchased it in the fall of 2004 when the home was 1 yr old.
We love SEAVIEW and try our best to be sure it is always in excellent condition. We have had, and continue to have, fun decorating SEAVIEW and selecting colors and artwork that make SEAVIEW a cheerful and relaxing place to visit.
Suzy and I are semi-retired and live in Decatur,Ga (a small town 6 miles east of downtown Atlanta) in a historic neighborhood in a home we designed and built in 2007. We do get to SEAVIEW several times a year as we find it our peaceful and relaxing retreat.
Our three kids are now grown and live all over the world. We try to make SEAVIEW our gathering point for those occasions when we can all be together at the same time.
We welcome you to make SEAVIEW your place to make memories with your family.
David and Suzy Crenshaw

We absolutely loved our stay here! The view of the ocean was incredible! We all enjoyed the private pool and hot tub. The Gulf waters are so much prettier than the Atlantic and the white sands beach is so vast! Aunt Elby's ice cream is to die for!! Our whole family agrees that this is the best spring break vacation we're ever had and we will definitly be back. Sincerely, The Briggs family

Tenant comments entered by owner: I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed Seaview last week. As I had mentioned to you, we had been to St George Island in the summer of 2007 so we were familiar with the island. Seaview's comforts only added to our enjoyment of this trip. We did pay to have the pool heated since the weather had been cool and the pool service was very good about checking up on us to make sure everything was going well. Also the people at RVP were very helpful when we needed their service as well. Also thanks for the detailed directions from Atlanta. That made the trip down much easier than our first visit. Considering that this was our first trip to Florida in the November, the weather was better than I had even hoped. I will certainly look to use Seaview on our next visit to SGI.

    • One of the nicest places we have rented! The large home, amenities, beach and island attractions were perfect. An extra plus was the fall migration of the Monarch butterflies!

    • We loved everything about our visit at Seaview. The quietness was wonderful, the light, the roominess, the decor, too, but my favorite things were the hottub in the evening and the view from that second story porch. I'll tell my friends about this wonderful house and location. You've thought of everything.

You have an absolutely beautiful house!Thank you for the wonderful pool, hot tub, firepit, wireless access, pak n play, beautiful dishes, great beds, beautiful decor, & the list could go on forever! We came here for our 6th wedding aniversity with our 3 children under the age of five & my mom and her husband, so needless to say.....we have used the house for all that it could be used for. We ended up using the pool and pool toys most of the week. So, thank you for having a fabulous pool. We will be back soon! Your hospitality is incredible. We thank you for calling us mid-week to check on us.

    • Hello again, We rented Seaview for a second time in two years and once again were blown away by the beauty of the area, and the amenities provided in the house. Great holiday, much improved with hot tub and fire pit. We used them both a lot. We also added a fishing rod to the growing collection of toys in the store...cheaper than renting! ... we caught a catfish and we hope it brings good luck to all those that fish there!! Can't rate the house high enough, it really delivered a brilliant holiday. Everyone wants to go back another a year, we'll have to see! R.

    • We absolutely loved this home. It was immaculate upon arrival, and it seemed everything was thought of!! Whoever decorated this house has amazing taste from the beautiful dishes to the wonderful artwork (which I spent a lot of our time down there trying to find to purchase to bring home for our lake house!!) My children LOVED the pool and hottub and the legos and games, they were busy the entire time we were there. Thank you to the owner, we have many memories that will last us to our next visit. NOTE to the owner, if you would like to send me your email address I can forward you a picture of our family on the island or by the pool!

    • Fantastic house, great location what a wonderful holiday we had. It was a real surprise to find the property so tastefully decorated and well equipped. We didn't realise we could have had the pool heated, next time we will book it!

      Homeowner Response:
Thanks for your response, Rob. Since your visit, we have added a hot tub and a firepit and enlarged the pool deck area. Hope you will come again. Suzy Crenshaw
