We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seaview. Just as advertised, it had all of the amenities we could have asked for. It was so convenient to have a pack and play, toddler seat, beach toys, chairs, and umbrellas already there for us to use. The home is tastefully decorated with plenty of room. The pool and fire pit were also nice extras to have. The views were unbelievable, and the deck was a great place to watch the dolphins swim. It felt like home for the week. When we return to SGI, it will be to Seaview- David and Suzy were great to work with. They were more than helpful in recommending restaurants, attractions, etc.

Enjoyed Our Visit
Enjoyed Our Visit
We enjoyed our visit to SGI and were very comfortable at Seaview. The location was great with the beach, stores and restaurants close enough to ride our rented bikes to. The kitchen was well stocked which made food prep easy. We used the grill and also roasted marshmellows in the fire pit. The weather turned cold for most our stay so we were unable to use the pool and there were some hot tub issues but we had a lovely visit and would rent from David again.

Owner response: Teresa, Allen, Glenda, & Glenn...thanks for your comments! I know the Houston area is a long way to come to Seaview but it seems you did have a good vacation despite the hot tub issue! After 3 repair visits and $1300 I do believe the hot tub is fixed. Hope to see you all again at Seaview! David and Suzy

Lovely visit--very welcoming, warm, perfect for our little ones, grandma, and us. Boss Oyster in Apalachicola was our favorite place to eat and BJ's Pizza was great for movie night. Warm breezes, great runs and walks on the trail. Splendid vacation!

We have returned from an absolutely wonderful time staying at Seaview on St. George Island. The house was amazing! There are beautiful views of the gulf from the decks and the at the top of the house is an amazing "crows nest" with a hammock! A great way to take a nap while listening to the waves and feeling the ocean breeze! The pool area was beautiful! It felt like we were at our own private resort. The house was wonderful and has everything you need to make your stay on St. George relaxing and restful! We hope to return next year!!

Fabulous Week!Guest comment entered by owner
We had fabulous week at Seaview! The house was just a described~very clean, homey, had everything we could ever need in the kitchen, plenty of pool toys, chairs for the beach. David Crenshaw took an interest when her heard one of us had back trouble and directed us to a chiropractor, if we were interested. We have told our friends about our experience at St George Island and have recommended this house as a great choice to rent. Thank you, Crenshaws!!

I am so jealous of the family that is at Seaview this week! We had such a wonderful time last week. Seaview is a wonderful place to stay and easily accommodated our family. The home was spotless and the walk to the beach wasn't bad at all. We had two 2-year olds with us and my son was smart enough to bring his wagon so transporting the kids was a breeze. The pool is so relaxing and quiet. Great to have your own space. The weather could have been better. We had at least 3 frightful storms while we were there and a couple of down days, but it was nice to rest. I would recommend Seaview to anyone!

Awesome Vacation Home
Awesome Vacation Home
This was our best family vacation ever, the pool is awesome and the hot tub, crow's nest and views can't be beat. The house was obviously a personal project of the Crenshaw's as it is very nicely decorated and accessorized. The decor is lovely and well suited for a family vacation home. Plenty of space, inside and out. My children (ages 7, 5 & 3) loved the pool and the walk to the beach is super easy. As my husband said, it was our only exercise during our decadent vacation. Beach is beyond compare and the area is very lovely. One little glitch over trash bags, which I wouldn't even mention but for the fact that the owner was so quick to respond and obviously concerned that we had everything we needed that he enlisted others to help out - all of which was totally unnecessary but his efforts were so greatly appreciated!!!!! Owners are great to work with and rent from that we will keep this house on our list of favorites all the way around.

Owner response: Michele and Dan..thanks for your kind words about Seaview! Sorry we ran out of trash bags...but I just made a "Costco run" and should have plenty for the next many months. We provide more in terms of supplies than other homes and rarely run out..except this time! David and Suzy

Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: Welcome to SEAVIEW! We have been coming to St.George Island since 1992 when our kids were young. The initial appeal to St. George Island was the vast, beautiful white sand beaches with no crowds and the overall laid back atmosphere. And you know what? St. George is still like that! A 'crowded' day at the beach is seeing 20 people in either direction.... for miles! Additionally, St George is a safe place...from the Gulf waters being gentler than the Atlantic to the fact that most people on SGI do not lock their car when they go out...because they do not need to. For 10 years, we rented homes at SGI and then decided to purchase. Seaview is our 3rd home and we purchased it in the fall of 2004 when the home was 1 yr old. We love SEAVIEW and try our best to be sure it is always in excellent condition. We have had, and continue to have, fun decorating SEAVIEW and selecting colors and artwork that make SEAVIEW a cheerful and relaxing place to visit. Suzy and I are retired and live in Decatur,Ga (a small town 6 miles east of downtown Atlanta) in a historic neighborhood in a home we designed and built in 2007. We do get to SEAVIEW several times a year as we find it our peaceful and relaxing retreat. Our three kids are now grown and live all over the world. We try to make SEAVIEW our gathering point for those occasions when we can all be together at the same time. We welcome you to make SEAVIEW your place to make memories with your family. David and Suzy
Why the Owner Chose Gulf Beaches:
We bought our home at St George Island after looking at several other areas. St George offers the best combination of very low population density (no high rises), one of the top 5 beaches in the US, one of the top fishing spots in the US, and a nice variety of local stores that offer all we need when we visit. Additionlly, it a nature lovers area with lots of estuary areas as well as a 7 mile long state park that is nationally known. It is common to see egrets right on the beach and SGI is known for its turtle nesting areas.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
When we go to SEAVIEW, we enjoy the vast beautiful beach and our private pool and hot tub. Words can not describe the beauty of the nightime skies from the hot tub.....SGI does not have any street lights so the skies are more visable. And the sunrises and sunsets are simply unbelievable! We also like to take walks on the beach or in the estuary which is one block back of our home. And then we like to bicycle on the 10 mile long bike path in front of our home that is mostly flat and easy to bike! And of course, we often do nothing at all but relax on the deck in our chairs! We also like the quality and variety of the numerous restaurants on St. George as well as those in close by historic Apalachicola.
