This was our best family vacation ever, the pool is awesome and the hot tub, crow's nest and views can't be beat. The house was obviously a personal project of the Crenshaw's as it is very nicely decorated and accessorized. The decor is lovely and well suited for a family vacation home. Plenty of space, inside and out. My children (ages 7, 5 & 3) loved the pool and the walk to the beach is super easy. As my husband said, it was our only exercise during our decadent vacation. Beach is beyond compare and the area is very lovely. One little glitch over trash bags, which I wouldn't even mention but for the fact that the owner was so quick to respond and obviously concerned that we had everything we needed that he enlisted others to help out - all of which was totally unnecessary but his efforts were so greatly appreciated!!!!! Owners are great to work with and rent from that we will keep this house on our list of favorites all the way around.

Seaview is an excellent beach house! The kitchen is decked with all that you could possibly need! We have two families with small children and it was perfect. The pool is fabulous...heated warmer than any other pool AND there's a hot tub that we loved!! Each bedroom's beds are super comfortable and the bathrooms are large! The crow's nest is where you want to be! The house is super clean, all tile and very comfortable. The owner is awesome to rent from, always accessible and he even called the house our first day to check in on us. Thanks for a great vacation!

Wonderfuly Vacation

My family and I had a wonderful time at St. George, and staying at Seaview just made it special. Everything was there that we needed and more. The house was plenty of space for us all to "spread out" and my teenagers had a space of there own to relax and enjoy. They are avid swimmers and especially enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub and the privacy that we had while using those. My parents were able to maneuver the steps just fine as they had the king room on the main floor with the kitchen and living space. The walk to the beach was completely manageable and the fact we could take and leave the beach chairs was very convenient. Our favorite memory was building a fire in the pit each night and looking up at the stars....something we don't get in the city. We plan to go back!!

This was a fantastic way to bring in the New Year! Seaview is a beautiful home..useful facilities; we really made use of the hot tub and campfire pit. the island's remoteness gives it an easy calmness. It was a great way to relax and brought everybody in the house closer together. David, thank you for everything.

As we prepared to spend the month of December at Seaview, our family was extremely excited and enjoyed looking at the pictures on the website and anticipating our trip. When the time finally came and we arrived for our stay, we welcomed a month that was even better than we had imagined!! Seaview was beautiful, well maintianed, well equipped, and comfortable. The Crenshaws have created an environment that most certainly makes guests feel welcome. From the day-to-day basics of how to unlock the doors to the luxuries such as how best to operate and enjoy the hot tub, the owners provided clear instructions that made accessing the amenities a snap. If you're considering St. George Island and Seaview for an upcoming vacation, all we can say is DO IT!! You won't be sorry. Christmas 2011 won't be a time any of our family will forget. It was everything we'd hoped and more.

A last minute decision to take a break was rewarded by our stay at Seaview. Everything promised was here. At first, the pool seemed an unneeded add-on, but much to our surprise it was well utilized and added very much to our overall satisfaction. Perfect water temperature of water at 88-90 so we could have been enjoyed at anytime. House and pool were spotless and well maintained. The Beach Pit provided our first meal--owner was from Georgia. The State Park was wonderful worth our two visits there. Clean, uncrowded, beautiful. Took a trip to PCB 'cause the kids had to see Pineapple Willys--what we do for our kids! Overall, an excellent experience with an involved owner that seems genuinely concerned with our satisfaction and enjoyment.

Hi David, Just wanted to tell you and your wife that we had a wonderful time at your lovely beach home! The house was great, and we all enjoyed your pool/patio area! We spent so much time visiting and hearing my father-in-law tell stories of their travels in Europe while floating in the pool and cooking on the grill. We watched the dolphins nearly every day from either the balcony or the beach. We did get fresh shrimp and oysters from Doug's, as you suggested, and they were wonderful. You couldn't have been nicer as you handled the couple problems we had. We had a memorable week and I hope we can return next year to do it all over again! By the way, we rented bikes and my 92 year old father-in-law rode twice! It was a sight to behold. He rarely puts his bathing suit on, but, he did join us in the pool one late afternoon. My mother-in-law, on the other hand, loves the water and our routine became the beach in the morning and the pool in the afternoon. It was a blessing to spend the week with family and we made many wonderful memories. By the way, your directions were extremely well written and easy to follow. There was hardly anyone on the roads once we got off I-185. Very enjoyable. It took us 10 hours including stops. Thank you again for a wonderful vacation! Blessings, Margo

Happy Family Memories Made!! This is our third family trip to beautiful st George. Our first stay at Seaview. The house was perfect for us. We (Mamaw and Papaw) enjoyed our master suite upstairs. Beautiful shower and bath area included. Well equipped kitchen with all the extras. Our son and daughter-in-law occupied the downstairs queen bedroom. Their two girls shared the king master with bath. There was plenty of room for baby's Pak N Play. The laundry was accessible to them ...so helpful with all the baby items. The pool was wonderful. Spent most of our time at the beach but loved returning to Seaview for a dip in the pool before dinner. The outside shower was perfect for rising the sand off. Many extras at Seaview: beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, floats. Perfect place fro a family vacation. So love being away from the high rises.

What a great vacation! Our extended family of eight stayed at Seaview for a week, and all agree that it was the best vacation we have ever had. The house was very large with lots of space for everyone to either group together or to go off and have private time (there was a teenager in our group). The house was the best equipped rental we have ever had and the owner has thought of everything to give his guests a great vacation.

Seaview is a fabulous vacation home. Our family loved SGI, the house and the pool. The solar heated pool was outstanding. Our 5 grandchildren and their parents were with us for the week. I cannot say enough about what a great house this is for a large group. We had everything we could possibly need. The kitchen is very well equiped. The house was very well maintained. We took the chairs and umbrellas to the beach and left them there all week as David recommended. It made going to the beach so easy. Because we had small children, we walked along the street and down the side road to the beach. It may have taken a few minutes more but it was so much easier., We had a professional photographer come to the beach at sunset and take the family pictures. This beach was pefect for the background. We loved the park at SGI. We took the children to the park and they had a wonderful time We walked down onto the beach at the park and saw the turtle nest. The children really enjoyed learning about the turtles. After the park we went to the ice cream store and had ice cream on the deck. We enjoyed using the grill at the house many times. We ate at SGI (BJ's), Eastpoint (The Hut) and Apalachicola (Papa Joes). All these restaurants were vey good. David is an outstanding owner. He was very informative about the house and the island. He answered all our questions. We have rented many houses and condo's for vacation and David is by far the best owner we have worked with. We are looking forward to returning to SGI and to Seaview.

Awesome Beach/Pool Rental with Small Children Seaview is a wonderful house with all the amenities. We stayed there with my 2 children (ages 4 and 2) and my parents. The kids had a room to themselves with a TV (and videos). We loved opening the doors in the afternoons & evenings to let the sea breezes come in. The pool and hot tub were great. The walk to the beach was very easy with our tow little ones. Seaview had everything we needed!

Seaview is a beautiful home to stay in! Everything is so nice and clean, it was an amazing stay! The views are amazing from the balcony, the beds are sooooo comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need and more! We took a vacation as a family along with another family. We both have one year old little boys. We wanted to stay somewhere that we really liked the house because we knew we wouldn't be getting out to do too much with babies. The house was perfect for our needs. We were able to swim all day in the pool, and then hang out in the hot tub at night. Both of which are extremely clean. The owners of this home are very helpful, and you can really tell they care about this property. It truly felt like being home. We were so sad to leave. I would refer this property to anyone looking for a Florida beach vacation. The walk to the beach is nothing, it can not be more than 150 yards away. Oh and the beach was so beautiful, lots of seashells!

Owner response:Robyn and family..thanks for your wonderful comments! We do try to be baby friendly with a Pack N Play, safety gates, and other items. We also now have a Solar Heated pool so the temperatures are warm enough for babies... and other folks for most of the year.

SEAVIEW IS THE BEST!

What a great time we had at Seaview! The house sits on the top of the hill and viewing it from the road for the first time is a THRILL! It's Beautiful! The rooms are decorated with a sea side theme and the beds are so comfortable. The kitchen is fully equiped and the deck outside is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. There is a ladder up to the Crow's Nest with a very comfortable hammock. A perfect quiet place to read or nap. The beach is beautiful with powdery sand and very few people. The pool and hot tub were so great. I bar-b-qued some steaks on the grill. We took a boat tour out of Appalachacola with Captain Grayson Shepard. What a great guide. We went to St Vincent Island, Bird Island and Little St.George. A highlight was when the Captain shucked some oysters from the sea bed and provided hot sauce, Delicious! There were dolphins racing alongside the boat as we cruised from place to place. We are looking forward to returning to Seaview, next year. Suzy and David are the best!!!!!

After a hectic week at Disney, this home was just what we needed to unwind. The family relaxed at the pool, went to the beach and just laid back. It was Easter week, so the kids had a great time looking for their Easter baskets! Everything that you could think of to need was there. Every night after the kids went to bed, we relaxed outside on the top balcony with a nice glass of wine, rocked in the rocker and just listened to the surf and watched the sun go down. The lighthouse was going and we saw the fishing boats out on the water late at night. The breeze was just right. We spent a day in Apalachicola just walking and seeing the sights. David, the owner called us while we were there to check to see if we needed anything. He was great to work with. Very professional and personable. The only thing you need to take into consideration for this home is the amount of stairs. If you have someone who has issues with stairs, just realize that this home has 4 flights. The kids and I loved the stairs and it is a good workout! My mom and aunt had a little harder time. The internet was great and used my computer while I was there to keep in contact with work. The local pizza place had great pizza. We took a tour of the lighthouse and my son and I climbed all the way to the top. Awesome views at the top! The little park by the lighthouse was fun and the kids enjoyed it. The only thing that was disappointing was that the putt-putt had closed down and my son was looking forward to playing. Overall, the island is very relaxing and the home was wonderful. I would recommend this home to families with children. This home was way more than five stars! One of the best places I have ever stayed at. Thanks David for allowing us to stay at your beautiful home.

Our time at Seaview is sadly coming to an end. What can i say but WOW. The property owner, home, and peaceful island made this such a great trip. David is an absolutely wonderful owner and made the trip 100% worry free. Often times when renting a home you are worried about what you are actually getting. Not so with David, we could tell right away by his communication and concern for us that the home would be perfect. We were not disappointed. The house had everything expected and more. Its obvious that this is more than just a rental house to the owner. The low key and small town atmosphere of the island was great for our two little ones. We were able to let them run free on the beach without a care in the world. We have been to Florida for vacation several times but this was by far the most peaceful and relaxing. We would recommend the owner, home, and island to anyone (especially those with small children)!!!! Thank you for a perfect week!!!!!!!!!!! The Fishes

A Perfect Week

We spent our honeymoon at Seaview from Oct. 17-24 and had the time of our lives. First of all, Seaview is very beautiful, clean and well furnished and is equipped with all the comforts of home. We only needed to buy our food for the week, nothing else. The view of the Gulf is amazing and we watched the sunrise every morning from the deck as we sipped our coffee. We throroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub and even spotted 2 bald eagles soaring overhead as we sat by the pool soaking up the sun. One thing that really impressed us is how quiet St. George Island is. There's not a lot of commercial businesses or traffic but there is enough there to make it convenient to find whatever we needed. From the first time we inquired about Seaview, the owner, David has been more than helpful...from giving driving directions to suggestions about restaurants to always being there to answer our questions. We would highly recommend Seaview to anyone wanting to spend some quiet time in a beautiful home in St. George...you won't be sorry!!

Seaview has everything for the family

Close to everything important like groceries/restaurants/walking path/beach, fully equipped with Pool, Hot Tub, large patio with fire pit, 2 decks over looking the Gulf with plenty of seating, large kitchen/social area overlooking living space where adults and kids can all "play" in the same area, lots of TVs and DVD playing capability, friendly and accommodating owner, beautiful landscaping and nicely decorated, SEAVIEW has everything. Our two families drove 1000 miles from Illinois to stay on the property and left with plenty of happy memories and plans to return. Don't forget to record your memories in the guest book. When you see a half page missing you'll know we were there as our 2 year old ate it! We kept it on a higher shelf after that... Excellent property and manager/owner.

I just wanted to thank you for the directions! They were so easy to follow and we made it with no problems at all. We got to the island before 3 hours check in time but were able to check in early...how exciting! When we got here we were so amazed at how nice the house is! All the kids love the pool area-it is so nce...and the house is absolutely beautiful! Once we all took a tour of the house and the pool area, all were smilling from ear to ear! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home. We had a great time and the wedding we attended was beautiful with clear blue skies. Your house was beautiful and met all our needs...the baby gates and the high chair came in handy and it was nice not having to bring those things from home. The beds were extremely comfortable and we loved rocking in hte chairs at night when we had drinks and had great conversation. Your kitchen was fully stocked with all that we needed and we thank you! This is our second time visiting St George Island and our first to Seaview. We has a wonderful week! What a great place--we enjoyed our stay--all 7 of us. Grandpa, Grandma, daughter and son in law, and children.We have been to Isle of Palms and to Gulf Shores in the recent past and enjoyed our stay at this wonderful house the best!. The highlight of our visit here was a charter fishing/shelling trip by Grayson Sheppard (850-653-6718). We all caught fish and visited several islands where shells were plenty, saw eagles nesting places, and the captain slowed the boat down as the porpoise would come around and play along side of the boat. What a thrill for all of us and what a great guide Grayson was. Remember to take food and water and TP as no facilities behind the sand dunes!

We enjoyed our stay at SEAVIEW. Your house is lovely. Enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch. We also enjoyed the pool. We did use the vacuum and it would be nice to have a broom and dustpan (owner note: those missing items have been replaced). Other than that, we found everything we needed and found the labels helpful. All in all, a great trip.

Just wanted to say we had an absolutely fabulous time at your gorgeous home on St George Island! We felt really swell having our own pool and completly enjoyed the non-touristy atmosphere of the nieghborhood. It suited us perfectly. Wow! It went way too fast! We loved your home. Thanks for sharing. As soon as we walked in we were even more impressed than what the website had shown. The kids...and the adults loved the Crow's Nest, the pool, and the decks. My granddaughter kept saying "did I tell you this was the best idea you ever had". The bedrooms are very nice and yet private even with 10 people here. Loved all the amenities. The beach we all agreed was one of the nicest we have ever visited. We would recommend SEAVIEW to others and hope to return ourselves.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The view of the ocean was incredible! We all enjoyed the private pool and hot tub. The Gulf waters are so much prettier than the Atlantic and the white sands beach is so vast! Aunt Elby's ice cream is to die for!! Tenant comments entered by owner: I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed Seaview last week. As I had mentioned to you, we had been to St George Island in the summer of 2007 so we were familiar with the island. Seaview's comforts only added to our enjoyment of this trip. We did pay to have the pool heated since the weather had been cool and the pool service was very good about checking up on us to make sure everything was going well. Also the people at RVP were very helpful when we needed their service as well. Also thanks for the detailed directions from Atlanta. That made the trip down much easier than our first visit. Considering that this was our first trip to Florida in the November, the weather was better than I had even hoped. I will certainly look to use Seaview on our next visit to SGI.

One of the nicest places we have rented! The large home, amenities, beach and island attractions were perfect. An extra plus was the fall migration of the Monarch butterflies!

We loved everything about our visit at Seaview. The quietness was wonderful, the light, the roominess, the decor, too, but my favorite things were the hottub in the evening and the view from that second story porch. You have an absolutely beautiful house!Thank you for the wonderful pool, hot tub, firepit, wireless access, pak n play, beautiful dishes, great beds, beautiful decor, & the list could go on forever! We came here for our 6th wedding aniversity with our 3 children under the age of five & my mom and her husband, so needless to say.....we have used the house for all that it could be used for. We ended up using the pool and pool toys most of the week. So, thank you for having a fabulous pool. We will be back soon! Your hospitality is incredible. Hello again, We rented Seaview for a second time in two years and once again were blown away by the beauty of the area, and the amenities provided in the house. Great holiday, much improved with hot tub and fire pit. We used them both a lot. We also added a fishing rod to the growing collection of toys in the store...cheaper than renting! ... we caught a catfish and we hope it brings good luck to all those that fish there!! Can't rate the house high enough, it really delivered a brilliant holiday. Everyone wants to go back another a year, we'll have to see! R.

We absolutely loved this home. It was immaculate upon arrival, and it seemed everything was thought of!! Whoever decorated this house has amazing taste from the beautiful dishes to the wonderful artwork (which I spent a lot of our time down there trying to find to purchase to bring home for our lake house!!) My children LOVED the pool and hottub and the legos and games, they were busy the entire time we were there. Thank you to the owner, we have many memories that will last us to our next visit. Fantastic house, great location what a wonderful holiday we had. It was a real surprise to find the property so tastefully decorated and well equipped. We didn't realise we could have had the pool heated, next time we will book it!
