Sandcastle I condo description
This past fall we took the condo off the calendar to facilitate a complete renovation. We started with a new ceiling, new paint in every room, new doors and trim, and new tile floors throughout the unit. The kitchen was entirely gutted and there are new cabinets, granite counters, and stainless steel appliances. The bathrooms have been totally redone with new cabinets, fixtures, and tiles. The master bath has a travetine shower with a seat. The master bedroom has entirely new furniture.
This direct Gulf front condominium is located on the 6th floor of the popular, family-friendly Sand Castle I Condominiums. The master bedroom and living room share a large balcony directly overlooking the beach. While looking out the balcony’s sliding doors, either from your comfortable King size bed or from the cozy leather sofas, you are looking at the beautiful white sands and turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
The balcony overlooking the pool and the beach offers the perfect seat for watching the sunsets and listening to the calming crashing of the waves on the shore. Enjoy the fabulous view of boats cruising the intercoastal waterway from the window of the 2 guest bedrooms.
The master bedroom has a new king size bed, the second bedroom has 2 queen size beds and the third bedroom has a new queen size bed. This condo is fully equipped with a washer and dryer, flat screen TV in every bedroom and a large flat screen TV in the living room.

Beautiful place to stay!
Beautiful place to stay!
We came down to Florida hoping to see the Gulf and feel the warm weather, and we were not disappointed! The condo was well kept and clean, and was even better in person than it looked in the pictures! The weather was perfect our entire stay, and the view was magnificent. There are so many restaurants and shops around, you will never be looking for something to do. We will definitely return many times in the future!

My wife and I stayed in this unit along with our son and granddaughter the week after the 4th. While the front screen door still had issues, the rest of the condo was very satisfactory. We enjoyed our stay making use of the beach items that the owners provided. We met many other nice people while using the pool and bbq and would definitely plan to stay here again on our next trip to the area.

this was a unit that was recently purchased. it was not mentioned to us that it was in need of updating. carpenting is so not good for this environment. it was stinky. front screen door came off the hinges, we were given 1 dish towel for a week, all the cabinets were not closing. i would have thought maintenance would have come by to fix the door but did not. sliding glass door was difficult to open.

Manager response: We were sorry to hear that you were not pleased with your vacation. We take any complaints very seriously. Unfortunately, we only received the notice of your problems the day before you left. Had we known earlier in the week, we would have immediately taken steps to correct them. We had the screen door fixed the next day. 1 dish towel is the standard that comes with the rental linens but a roll of paper towels is also left and there is a dishwasher with heat drying, as well as brand new Bosch washer and dryer. Regarding the cabinets, as of one month ago when we last visited, all the doors were closing and we received no comments from previous guests about them. Regarding the carpet, it was deep cleaned one month ago and the guests that stayed the week before commented on how clean and well maintained the condo was. Our housekeepers also commented: “Carpet is in good condition and does not need cleaning and I told property manager about that. Nobody is perfect and we could miss something. But we are always ready to come and correct our mistake within 20 min after complaint. We were very upset about these complaints but some of them were not true.” The kitchen is professionally cleaned for each new guest, and it is well stocked with dishes, glassware, appliances, and new pots and pans. We will be updating the kitchen in the fall, but the unit’s current weekly rental price reflects its current age. Our unit is priced lower than other Sandcastle 1 units that have new kitchens and baths. Moreover, much of our furniture is brand new, and all pillows, pillow protectors, and mattress pads were new last month. In the 3rd bedroom everything is entirely new. We have an excellent property manager and very dedicated housekeepers that take their job seriously. They, along with us, look into every concern. We find it disappointing that we weren’t given enough time to help make your stay a more enjoyable one.

We had a wonderful time. We stayed in a 9th floor condo at Sandcastle 1 last summer, but we found the furnishings in this condo to be much nicer. The weather was beautiful, and we stayed on the balcony for much of the time that we were not on the beach. My 3 daughters enjoyed having tv access in their rooms, and loved using the wifi with their ipods. The kitchen was well equipped and the linens were clean and of good quality. The rental management company was also very polite and helpful.

We bought this property because it is beachfront and has glorious sunsets. The wonderful walking/biking lanes on the main road are an added benefit, making it very easy to get around. That is, if you can leave the fantastic white sand beach!
