Four bedroom / three bath lake house with possibly the best view on Lake Hartwell. House features a huge 900 sq foot deck, with hot-tub, sunning area, and outdoor dining area. House can accommodate eight adults in beds in the main house (plus another 2 on pull-out sofa/trundle beds) and another four in beds (plus 1-2 on sofa pull-out) in the guest house. There is a stunning panoramic view from the back of the house that is also visible from most of the main rooms in the house.
Also, a fully finished walk-in basement with built-in wet bar, pool table, and gaming table. Main floor features three bedrooms, great room with a fireplace, dining area and screened porch with a fireplace. There is also a roomy loft in the main house with widescreen TV's, beanbags, trundle beds, and video games.
There is also an optional 2 bedroom/one bath guest house apartment, that is fully remodeled, if needed for extra guests. The house is fully wired for sound with built-in Bose speakers throughout the house and outdoors. We also have wifi service and cable, and wireless connectivity for streaming music from your iPhone or iPad.
Also included is a 10 x 20 foot platform dock for swimming, fishing, and boat mooring. The lot is almost completely clear of trees in the back for unobstructed views and easy access to the lake. There is also a large stamped concrete patio on the lower level facing the lake with adirondack chairs and additional outdoor furniture. Our lot is at the end of the street adjoining at least 100 acres of corps property and is very private.
There is a convenient boat ramp in our cove, only about 500 yards from our dock and maybe a 1/4 mile by road to launch your boat or jetski (Carters Ferry). The cove is very quiet, despite the great view, because there are three islands that extend almost a mile out into the main channel that keeps the boat traffic in the cove to a minimum.
Great for all lake activities including boating, fishing, swimming, skiing, and sunning. The rear of the house features a southern exposure that gets sun all day. This is a great area for walking, biking, and hiking and is near one of the top golf destinations in North Georgia - Cateechee Golf club.

About the owner: I am an Atlanta native. I've been visiting Lake Hartwell since I was a child, and this is my family lake house we bought originally in 1994. This lot was the original lot that Sidney Moore put his construction trailer on when he first started developing lots in the area, and it is said that he sorely regretted selling the lot, as it is the best on the lake. We tore down the original property (which was a re-located farmhouse) and re-built the new house back in 2005, based on our own design. We also renovated the guest house a few years later. We have never rented the property since I have owned it in 1994, but our kids have all recently graduated college, so we are trying it for the first time this year.
Why the Owner Chose Hartwell: We found this property by accident - it was owned by a widow who marketed it by spraying a 'for sale' sign on a piece of plywood only visible from the lake. While the amenities in this house are fantastic, what really sets it apart is the view. I don't think you will find a better view on the lake, and we have enjoyed countless hours on our back deck enjoying it.
The Unique Benefits at this House: The view, the huge deck and hot tub, the pool table, the fully appointed wet bar, the screened porch, and the whole house is wired for sound. And, did I mention the view?
