This century old cape with its breezeway and attached barn is situated on ¾ acres at the end of a town road with over 300 feet of frontage on Highland Lake (a 212 acre, deep lake). The house has two bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs. Also downstairs is the bath with shower, seperate jacuzzi, cozy living room, dining room and kitchen with cathedral ceiling and skylights. The major food preparation space has bar stools tucked on one side for those who love to help or watch the cook.
Views of the water, mountains, and open pastures captivate you from many angles, both inside and out. Sunsets can be enjoyed from Adirondack chairs in the backyard which overlooks Kearsarge and Ragged Mountains. A waterfront dock and deck provide wonderful spaces to swim, fish, read or keep an eye on the kids. The gradual water depth in the channel is ideal for young children.
The sloping grounds provide sledding in the winter and Highland lake offers good ice fishing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling adventures.
The Town of East Andover is just a 5 minute walk from the house. This quaint little settlement has a small public library, lovely old New England church and post office.
