Location: East Andover, Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee, New Hampshire, USA (12 miles E of New London, 20 miles W of Laconia)
Accommodations: House on the Lake, 4 Bedrooms, 1.5 Baths (Sleeps 9)
This century old cape with its breezeway and attached barn is situated on ¾ acres at the end of a town road with over 300 feet of frontage on Highland Lake (a 212 acre, deep lake). The house has two bedrooms upstairs and two bedrooms downstairs. Also downstairs is the bath with shower, seperate jacuzzi, cozy living room, dining room and kitchen with cathedral ceiling and skylights. The major food preparation space has bar stools tucked on one side for those who love to help or watch the cook.
Views of the water, mountains, and open pastures captivate you from many angles, both inside and out. Sunsets can be enjoyed from Adirondack chairs in the backyard which overlooks Kearsarge and Ragged Mountains. A waterfront dock and deck provide wonderful spaces to swim, fish, read or keep an eye on the kids. The gradual water depth in the channel is ideal for young children.
The sloping grounds provide sledding excitement and Highland lake offers good ice fishing and starting point for cross country skiing and snowmobiling adventures.
The Town of East Andover is just a 5 minute walk from the house. This quaint little settlement has a small public library, lovely old New England church and a wonderful market where you can get the morning paper and a cup of coffee

FUN WEEK, VERY nice place and very quiet vacation, Loved the Kayaks, doc, Adirondack chairs, deck, hammock especially ( and loved that here was a griddle! cooked many good greakfasts on the griddle). Please keep the place old and lovely, felt like the olde days of the past and the lake is everyting we had hope. Caught a couple fish and the bike path kept us busy! Sorry to ramble on but its a gem of a place to relax and feel away from the homes and places we live. Thanks again for the good time. Love this house. Jamime

We had a lot of fun here at your house this week. It was rean fun to jump off the dock and dive into the water. I had a lot of fun kyaking around the lake. I wish we could stay longer, but we have to go back home. I also really liked your dart set. Your dart tails fell off of 2 of the darts. I also liked fishing, I caught 5 small fish and 3 small mouth bass on a canoe. ... I wish I could stay much longer and I hope I can come back soon. To see the darts.
