Their is a lift that links the smaller lounge with the second bedroom, This has been installed for guests with mobility issues who would find using the stairs difficult. (Also great for getting your luggage between floors.)

I stayed at the property as I was having work done on my home so I’m local. The property was dusty throughout, the settee was really old and if you banged it the dust that came from it was terrible. You had a modern kitchen and bathroom and one bedroom had been decorated. The rest of the house is really really old fashioned. There was clutter everywhere and in every cupboard or drawer nowhere to put your food or belongings. The owner classed me as not a normal guest which insulted me basically because I wasn’t on holiday. She doesn’t leave you alone constantly messaging you asking me to stay in and wait for a plasterer to come when I said no she wanted him to let himself in but no my dog was in there and my belongings. Then she wanted to come and measure the shower base . Then she text at 8.45pm to tell me put the bin out even though I knew I’m not stupid the form was on top to when to when the bin men were due I told her I’d put nothing in it but she had another one with one bag a previous occupier had left then she was ringing she was outside putting the bin out she wouldn’t take leave me be at all she then moved the bins back to the wall which I had to put in a row as they had blocked the back door up so the enclosed garden isn’t an enclosed garden to let you dog out they could run of. You feel like she was watching you all the time. I couldn’t stay any longer as she just wouldn’t leave you be and two weeks later I’m in a different holiday let and being left alone

This property is deceptively large and extremely well equipped. Everything was as described and we had a lovely stay here. We would highly recommend!

Very homely place
We had a wonderful 8 weeks staying at the property and would do again without hesitation. Is so handy to everything if you have a car, co-op, tavern, 2 tescos, longton shops and market an if you want to go to Hanley not too far either. Our main reason was it was close to folk we wanted to visit and the Quick Quick Slow Ballroom in Cresswell. We enjoyed travelling to the small villages around the area, so quaint. The new bathroom upstairs was fantastic, thank you. The convenience of a toilet downstairs was great if you didn't feel like climbing the stairs and a days walking. The house was warm and inviting, cute stuffed toys on chairs in the second lounge a wonderful touch. The pantry had everything you could want if cooking at home which we did often, small separate fridge and freezer which we found more than adequate for our stay. Washing/dryer machine was great and to be able to hang outside is bonus. If you needed to get in touch with the owners they responded very quickly, great to deal with. Hoping another opportunity arises to visit the UK and the house is available to use. A very homely and welcoming house. AAA+++

A home away from home
A warm and comfortable home that will truly allow the feeling on belonging in a neighbourhood. Much better than staying in hotels. Safe back garden for children. This part of Staffordshire has loads to offer and to enjoy...not just that it is close to Alton Towers. Close to good shopping areas and family pubs. The Gladstone Museum in Longton is a must see to get to know the history of the potteries. Recommend it for couples or families.

Brilliant choice of property, location is ideal for all the attractions within the area. The house itself is very clean, comfortable and homely, the kids had a great time exploring the cupboards and units, however if you want modern this is not for you the decor and layout are 60's - 70's. I think that is why we enjoyed it so much, I think its down to nostalgia it brings back memories of of my childhood when we lived as family with all the in house entertainment in one room, no escape for the kids to go on facebook. We played good old fashioned games, cards, dominoes, connect 4. That was after we returned from the pub circa 9.15. The pub is ideal mid-week, there is almost noboby in, which was great because we could play pool and watch sport on the TV until the kids had to leave at 9.00 due to law, however they weren't strick, they didn't ask us to leave and we normally left when we finished our game. It tells you on website there is a hairdryer provided, unfortunately I mistakenly packed it, presuming it was my wife's. I have e-mailed Rob the owner to reimburse him but I am sorry until he has a chance to replace it I suggest you take your own. Just to summarise don't hesitate in booking this rental you won;t regret it.
