Satisfacción plena.

Guest: lourcar (España)
Date of Stay: 04/11/12 Review Submitted: 04/18/12

Guest: Lemire F.
Date of Stay: 10/08/11 Review Submitted: 10/31/11

Happy Australians.

Our family of 5 adults enjoyed a wonderful week in Paris and in this apartment. The apartment is secure, well equipped, nicely furnished, spotlessly clean and airie. It is very well located, very close to a metro station and shops. We were greeted by the owner's lovely daughter, who showed us around and ensured we were familiar with everything before she left. The owner phoned a few days later to ask if we were happy with everything, which we were. We would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and would love to return there one day.

What a delightful flat! Our party of five retired friends stayed there for two weeks in September 2011, and we would highly recommend it to family and friends. With three bedrooms and two baths, a good sized living room and dining room, the flat gave us plenty of room and was very clean and well-kept. We always felt safe in the neighborhood and enjoyed shopping for food in the area. (This section of town is "non-touristy" and gave us a taste of living in a real French village.) Also, the metro was half a block away and we were able easily to travel all over Paris on it and to use it to connect with trains to Chartres and other places. The owner was extremely helpful and professional in all his dealings with us, and even called during our stay to be certain we were having no problems. Also, his daughter met us when we arrived and was very, very helpful in showing us around the apartment and helping us set up wi-fi. I would echo all the other positive comments in the reviews above--we have only positive things to say about this charming flat!

The apartment is indeed beautiful and very well equipped. It is located in an old, charming building and the owners were very helpful, polite and welcoming. The apartment was exactly what we needed for our stay in Paris. Easy connections to public transport, the metro less than 200 metres away, plenty of shops and restaurants in the neighborhood and also a little supermarket. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this apartment to our friends as a delightful place to stay when visiting Paris. A thoroughly delightful and helpful gentleman by the way

We would recomend this flat for everbody who seeks to stay a few days in Paris to discover main atractions. It is very well located (just a few meters from subway station, and 25 minutes walking to Louvre), it has supermarkets and stores nearby, and it is a very nice 19th century apartment, tipically parisian (Hausmann), confortable and charming.

Fabulous Place to Call Home in Paris

What a great stay...the apartment and the owners were amazing! From the very first email exchange, to meeting us upon arrival, to phoning us during our stay to make sure everything was okay, the owner was very helpful, accommodating, considerate and professional. His daughter met us at the apartment when we arrived and gave us a thorough walk-through and some good information about the area. The apartment was wonderful! Very bright, large, very clean, everything in tip-top shape and incredibly spacious. If anything, it exceeded our expectations. The beds were all very comfortable, the bedrooms very quiet. The living and dining rooms were both quite big and worked very well for our group of 6 adults. The neighborhood is terrific as you are out of the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas, yet you can easily get anywhere from the metro stop only about a 2 minute walk from the building. The area is filled with cafes, restaurants, shops, bakeries, cheese & wine shops, etc. The area was also very clean and we always felt safe. It was so nice to have a beautiful and quiet apartment to come home to after a busy day in Paris. I am already recommending this apartment to friends and family. You will not be disappointed!

Stay here!

Guest: NMProfessor (New Mexico, USA)
Date of Stay: 06/03/11 Review Submitted: 06/20/11

My extended family stayed at this wonderful apartment for a week. The vacation was perfect, in no small part due to having this "home" to come back to after each day of sight-seeing. This apt. is in an actual neighborhood, not a tourist area, which gives you a much better feel for the "real" Paris. Everything is realistically represented in the pictures, and the owners went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. There are many good restaurants (try Chez Justine) and great pastry shops a short walk away, and the St. Maur metro station is about 1/2 a block away. Stay here, you definitely won't regret it!

As a celebration of our daughters graduating college, we decided to spend two weeks in Paris. We found this apartment online and WOW. Perfect! Everyone had their own bedroom. Location was great. We had no real plans prior to arriving and decided what we would do each morning. It worked out great because we were so close to the metro we could go anywhere in only a few minutes. No matter what we did, we always had a beautiful apartment we called home to return to. I don't know anyone who could have had a more enjoyable time in Paris and it was mainly due to such lovely accomidations. Colinas, thank you. Every thing you see on these pages are accurate. But the pictures do not really convey the spaciousness. Wonderful. Well maintained. Very clean. Perfect.

From start to finish my experience with the apartment was excellent. The owners responded very quickly to my first email and were very accommodating with our last minute booking. I was notified as soon as our deposit was received and was sent very clear information about how to get there, what to do when we arrived etc. We were greeted by the owners very friendly daughter when we arrived who showed us around and explained how to use the kitchen facilities, keys etc. The photos advertising the apartment are very nice but we found the apartment was much nicer in person. It has lovely furnishings and several antique ornaments which gave it a very Parisian look. There were seven of us in total (work colleagues) and space was not a problem at all. Every room was a good size including the living areas and main bathroom with were very spacious. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds were all very comfortable. The area was excellent, lots of lovely places to eat nearby and only a few minutes walk to the metro station. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone and would definitely stay here again in the future.

We are just home from three weeks in France, the best part of two of those weeks spent in this apartment in Paris. We chose to stay here because we needed a three bedroom apartment (for four adults) and we were won over by the reviews from previous visitors. All I can say is that everything they said is true! The apartment is spacious, clean, warm and quiet, handy for transport (the metro, the number 96 bus and a short stroll will get you to the number 69 bus and the cheapest sight seeing tour of Paris going) and has one of the best equipt kitchens we have ever encountered. Restaurants are close at hand, there are plenty of food shops in the area, the Bastille market is a short walk away - in fact most of Paris is only a shortish stroll away. There are a number of up-to-date guides to Paris and France in general in the bookcase as well as information on the local area and shops. This would be a perfect location for anyone travelling with children or for a group of adults - large bedrooms with plenty of hanging space, comfortable seating in the lounge room, big dining room table for dinner at home - it looks just as it does in the photographs. Mr Colinas and Mathilde were both charming and could not have been more helpful and prompt when it come to answering our questions and providing details and information.

We are a group of three couples who travelled to Paris September 2010. The apartment exceeded our expectations with its location and amenities. The description of the apartment's appointments and appearance was accurate and it was clean, comfortable, safe and larger than expected. The owner was very helpful and polite. He not only answered all our questions he was very prompt in responding to our emails. He was there to greet us on our arrival and show us around the apartment. The local restaurants and cafes were a bonus as well as supermarkets. We would recommend this property to all. Its close location to the Metro made sightseeing a breeze.

Excellent Accommodations for 8 women

Date of Stay: 09/06/10 Review Submitted: 09/22/10

This apartment is 5 star in service, hospitality, cleanliness, furnishing, design and location. The accommodations were ideal for our group of 8 women. The owner was most helpful in answering questions preceding our visit and provided useful information about nearby activities, attractions, transportation and restaurants. We appreciated the 19th century authenticity of the building and the neighborhood. The nearby restaurants were filled with locals and not tourists. The kitchen was well equipped and well-maintained. The bedrooms face an inner courtyard providing peace and quiet. The building was safe and secure. There is a small elevator to accommodate luggage and guests unable to climb a flight of stairs. We walked to major sights from this area and used the conveniently located metro station. We highly recommend the property.

August 2010 Paris visit

Date of Stay: 08/20/10 Review Submitted: 11/23/10

We loved this apartment and highly recommend it. Our family of six, parents, grandfather, and three teenage children, stayed here for twenty days in August 2010, and it was the perfect apartment and location for us. The apartment is beautiful, very large, and well-appointed. All the rooms are big and lovely, with nice furniture. The beds are comfortable and firm. The whole apartment was spotlessly clean on our arrival. The bedroom and bathroom linens are very good quality. The kitchen has everything one would need for cooking, and a huge supply of nice dishes, glasses, cups, serving dishes, etc., There are threee types of coffee makers, a teakettle, teapots, a toaster, etc. There are lots of cleaning supplies, including several types of laundry detergent. It was just like being at home. The living room and dining room windows open onto the street, and it is a nice city scene, with a cat across the street that goes out on the balcony and then cries to it's upstairs neighbor to be let in again. Very Parisienne. The bedroom windows open on the courtyard. The neighborhood is wonderful. It is not touristy, but it has everything French: bakeries, delis, charcuteries, wine stores, supermarkets x3, cafes and bistros everywhere, little bars and clubs, parks, outdoor markets, post office, etc. etc., in the immediate vicinity. The residential area is middle class, and it feels safe to be out in the evening. The apartment is secure with a locked gate, and locked building entrance. There is a caretaker on the ground floor. The metro is just steps away and it is easy to go anywhere in Paris for the day, and then go home again, get groceries and wine, and make dinner, or go out to a local bistro. You could easily come and go during the day. You can walk to Notre Dame cathedral in 25 minutes, or to the Bastille in 15-20 minutes. Mathilde Colinas was very hospitable and helpful on our arrival. Monsieur Colinas was very professional, and sincere, throughout our correspondence and arrangements. This apartment was fabulous, and we would love to stay here again!

This apartment is very comfortable, nicely furnished and well situated for a Paris exploration. The building is beautiful and well maintained with a quiet inner courtyard. The apartment has a small balcony with large doors that opens out to Rue de la Republique and Parisian life. Eight of us - two families with four adults and four teenagers - enjoyed ourselves thoroughly for a week. This is a good neighborhood with lots of commercial life on Rue Oberkampf and Parmentier. There are plenty of restaurants, boulangeries, boucheries, wine stores, etc in the neigborhood - including the best marche in Paris, the Bastille, within walking distance and we cooked great dinners for four of the seven nights we were there. The metro is within a block of the apartment and another stop a block and a half away. There is a fun bar/brasserie, the Barbershop, on the ground floor. It's a short walk to the Marais. I would be happy to return to the apartment for our next visit to Paris. The owner, Mssr. Colinas is very responsive and helpful and all of the arrangements were exactly as discussed.

We stayed at this “home away from home” for the second time in October 2009. We love this apartment! Honestly, I would alter my itinerary if necessary to stay here. The apartment is beautiful. A large reception / living room area. A large formal dining room with all you need to entertain. The kitchen is very well equipped. The 3 br’s and 2 ba’s are down the hall, sort of a separate wing. Thus you can quietly (there is a family below you) continue to socialize with friends in the reception area without bothering those who need their rest.Adolphe and Mathilde are very special landlords. They care about their home and they care about their tenants. They are a phone call away if you need them. They always call on the second day to make sure you are comfortable and don’t need anything. There is a telephone and a wired PC at no additional charge!!The apartment is 50 meters from the metro. It couldn’t be more convenient!! The neighborhood is a neighborhood……not a tourist trap area. You will find every need within a block or two. Butcher, baker, candlestick maker! Anything! It’s there and it’s close! If you have a family or 2 -3 couples planning on visiting Paris ……you will love this Apartment!Rick Daniels La Mesa, Ca.

The apartment is absolutely beautiful! It was way beyond our expectations. We are a family of 6 with a broad range of ages and it was comfortable for everyone. It is very very convenient to the Metro (just one street over). A choice of several grocery stores nearby as well as excellent Patisseries. This property has all of the comforts of home. The building is very safe and has a lift that makes the initial check in much easier than lugging suitcases up five flights of stairs. We were met by the owners and given a tour and information that made us feel secure. The owners also checked in on us during our stay to make sure that all was well. They were delightful to work with before, during and after our stay! We will definately be back! Thank you for making our stay in Paris so lovely!

We were very impressed with the Paris apartment. It exceeded our highest expectations. When we first walked in our mouths dropped open it was so beautiful and spacious. It was clean and orderly also. We loved that they provided a hair dryer so we could stop burning our hair with our own personal dryer and converters. The kitchen was clean and convenient to use. The only downside was that they had only a washing machine and no dryer. Luckily there was a laundromat just outside of the apartment below. It was just faster to use it; however there was a place to hang your clothes to dry if needed. We plan on using the apartment again when we return to Paris.

This is a beautiful apartment, very well equipped and ideally located for excellent food shopping. It is very central and allows quick, easy access to all the major sights. The information provided by the owners is very useful. The bedrooms are very quiet because they're located at the back of the apartment, along the inner courtyard, and can be completely closed off from the reception rooms at the front. We loved it and would happily live there!!

We spent a wonderful 8 days in Paris and Mr. Colinas' apartment. We loved the location, the neighborhood and the quiet building. While we were out being "tourists" it was fantastic to have a place like this to come home to every day. We felt like locals and enjoyed the spacious arrangement and two bathrooms was a must with 7 people! Staying in the apartment was so much better than multiple hotel rooms and the convenience of the kitchen just made it that much better. We are already talking about our next trip to Paris and hope we'll be able to stay in the apartment again.

Our family enjoyed a positively wonderful stay in the apartment. It is spacious, with all the modern conveniences we are used to, and the building was very quiet. We really liked the neighborhood, with it's shops, restaurants, bakeries and markets. Even though we were visitors, we liked the neighborhood because it didn't feel full of tourists. Adolphe, the owner, was very easy to work with and really made us feel comfortable. I'd whole-heartedly recommend Adolphe's apartment!!

Just yesterday a friend reminded us how we had rescued her from a sleazy hotel near Republique and took her to the clean quiet comfort of Adolphe's apartment where we were staying. Close to the metro and local cafes (pancakes, vegetarian, or Jewish)- it was a comfortable haven after a long day of tourist activities in the City. Our group of seven would love to go back tomorrow!

We spent four wonderful days in Paris with my mother and my husband's parents and grandmother. This apartment was exactly the right size to accommodate everyone extremely comfortably. The bedrooms are large and quiet, and what a godsend to have two full bathrooms! Beautiful dining room, great view, cushy living room and a full kitchen. I'm sold! Compared to a hotel, the value is amazing. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We are very particular about our accommodation but as soon as we walked in the door, we felt at home. It was like staying in a friend's apartment as it has lots of personal touches. The owners are very generous with the things they provide and very helpful and caring if you need it. The flat itself is huge, very comfortable and extremely clean. The location is wonderful - metro stops, patiseries, supermarket, restaurants, clothing shops and markets are all just outside your door. Stay here and you will feel like a native Parisian - the only problem is that you won't want to leave.

Comfortable, homey spacious flat with attractive furnishings and varied interesting art. The immediate neighborhood is wonderfully multi-cultural, and the Metro is close by. We look forward to returning on our next trip to Paris!

Our group of seven ladies stayed in this lovely flat for 5 nights in June, 2008. We were so very, very pleased with our accommodations! The flat was spacious, airy, beautifully decorated, and wonderful for a home-away-from-home. The only bad thing was we couldn't stay longer! The clothes washer wasn't working, and the repairman was not able to come until after we left. Mathilde graciously provided an allowance for us to use at the laundry in the building next door. Highly recommended.

The apartment was absolutely great! It was very clean and everything in it was very appropriate. The apartment was furnished fully with all comforts for living, cooking, and dining within. The location, next to the Metro station, made all of Paris accessible just a few steps from the apartment door. Adolphe and/or Mathilde are excellent hosts and very aware of how to make a visitor feel at home. The apartment turned out to be one of the best things about Paris!

We would like to offer our warmest thanks to Mathilde and Adolfe for the excellent accommodations that were provided for myself and my family. We often travel with our four young children and parents to Paris at least once a year and always look for just the right apartment that will offer location ,convenience, and plenty of space for the children to relax.this apartment has provided all of the above and then some.In the last seven years of travel to France we have become very familiar with the areas that will provide us with the Holiday we will most enjoy. As veterans of travelling with children we can definately say that Mathilde and Adolfe's apartment is one that we would recommend time and time again !
