Pearl District condo description

Enjoy being right in the heart of the best Portland has to offer in our 1 Bedroom (King bed) ground floor condo with patio, fire pit, BBQ and views of the Willamette River and Rose Garden. A great urban base for bicycling, dining, shopping, theater, or just exploring the nearby Cascade mountains or the Willamette Valley wine country.

From our fully stocked kitchen, open dining area and living area, to the outdoor patio with locked storage for your bicycles, you can enjoy laid back Pearl living. The floors throughout are all gleaming and clean PERGO wood with a Pottery Barn area rug in the living room.

It is easy walking distance to Waterfront Park, Amtrak, the Saturday Market, China Town, the Historic District, the Rose Garden or Convention Center, along with Portland’s finest shopping and restaurants. Even if you choose to bike or drive your car you will find this place is truly: LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION

Our living room has a large screen HDTV with expanded cable. It is newly furnished with a leather sofa, two large comfortable upholstered chairs and Pottery Barn lamps and mirrors. We also have wireless high speed internet access. From living room or patio you can enjoy watching all the river traffic -- barges, bridge traffic, college crew boat teams, sea going ships, and salmon fishing boats.

The dining area has a bar height table with four matching chairs. You also have three
additional bar chairs at our kitchen granite bar counter. The kitchen is fully equipped with range/oven, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, and microwave. You can create any meals you wish with the furnished dishes, pots/pans, Cuisinart food processor, air popcorn popper, blender and counter top toaster oven.

In the kitchen closet is our stacked washer/dryer with all the cleaning supplies you will need. The bedroom has a brand new KING mattress and new mahogany bedroom set—a headboard, side rails, foot board, and a dresser. Pottery Barn glass end tables on both sides of the bed include new table lamps for your bedroom reading comfort. Linens are top quality. There is also a bedroom TV with cable channels.

Covered assigned safe parking is also included steps from the front door. Enjoy the onsite pool (in season) and hot tub (year round). For added convenience there is a small grocery just outside our front door and the McCormick Pier Cafe (including bar) as well. Just steps to Union Station (Amtrak) and Wilf's Restaurant and Bar with nightly live jazz.

We just got back from our new favourite city, Portland. Loved the river view from this condo. The location is walking distance from everywhere. We ran Race for the Roses at the Oregon Convention Centre, walked to the Moda Centre to see the Trailblazers, spent lots of time in the pubs, restaurants and shops downtown and in the Pearl District, it was an easy walk over the bridge to the SE. The condo is clean, nicely decorated and very well supplied. No mismatched dishes and cheap linens, everything was great. Great information sheet, had no problems with the arrival. We had a later flight, C.J. was very gracious in letting us check out late. We highly recommend this condo.

Very comfortable condo with lots of privacy. Fully furnished and a supplied kitchen. Many necessities provided - just bring your toothbrush. Owner very helpful by providing directions from the airport, and sending someone over to give instructions on how to use the tv remotes. Convenient location to downtown and the Pearl district. Walkway along the river. Mini market just across the street

This was our first VRBO in Portland experience! We visited family for the holiday and this condo was the perfect retreat, get away, and home away from home! The bed is incredibly comfortable and the home is cozy, relaxing, and well decorated. The location was only minutes away from our family and oh so close to downtown holiday fun - shopping, dining and entertainment too. Our first VRBO Portland in this condo will not be our last! Thanks for a wonderful experience.

We've stayed at various VRBO locations in the Portland area and this one is now our favorite. The location is perfect for travel by foot or car or bike. Easy walk to the Pearl District coffee houses or restaurants. The owners have taken great care to stock the condo with supplies and We loved their taste in decorating it as well. Love the walks along the river!

My husband and I spent a long weekend in this lovely condo. The photos don't fully capture how nice the unit is. The location was perfect for exploring the Pearl District, with lots of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. The property was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and better stocked than any apartment we have stayed in anywhere. The owners were great to deal with, even refunding us 1 night's rental when we had to cut our stay short. For nearby dining, we recommend Wilf's, in Union Station for a delicious, leisurely dinner and Nuvrei Patisserie and Cafe, on 10th Avenue for pastries, breakfast, lunch or just good coffee. The famous Powell's Bookstore is also an easy walk from the apartment. The Portland Saturday (and Sunday) Market was fun to visit for high quality arts and crafts and was also an easy walk away, along the nicely-landscaped paved path next to the river. Other conveniences include a small grocery store and a neighborhood pizza place right across the driveway from the condo. Both came in handy due to our delayed arrival in Portland. The covered parking was a nice perk, and the car was not needed except for a quick drive to the coast. All in all, a great choice for our first visit to Portland, and we would recommend this property without hesitation.

Owner response: You managed to fit in a lot of our favorite activities in Portland in one weekend and are so glad you enjoyed your first visit to our town. Thanks so much for staying with us and please do return!

We chose this condo because of the river view and proximity to public transportation to the downtown areas of Portland. We enjoyed seeing the river traffic and appreciated the nice walk along the river and to get to the Max station nearby. The condo was well appointed and comfortable for the two of us. The kitchen was well equipped for any cooking I wanted to do. Liked having some food items including spices available in the pantry. Getting groceries was a challenge without a car. We solved that problem by having deliveries from Safeway and supplementing from Whole Foods. Portland is a great city to visit for its restaurants, museums, farmers' markets, We also enjoyed the Gray Line Tour we took to see the Columbia Gorge.

Owner response: We are so glad you enjoyed our river condo! We also love your suggestion to order grocery delivery from the new Pearl Safeway store--and of course Whole Foods is always a nice stop for special extras. We will definitely pass on your idea and try delivery ourselves so thanks so much for your great problem solving!!

My husband I enjoyed our stay at the condo on the riverfront. It was a perfect location for us from which to launch our visits to nearby friends and family. I especially appreciated the modern, comfortable, tasteful furnishings and décor. The owners/manager were very responsive to our needs. We would definitely return on a future visit to Portland.

We had a great experience during our stay in Portland. The condo was so close to everything, we took advantage of walking or public transit everyday...nice to not have to drive in a city we aren't familiar with. We used the outdoor grill and ate outside a few nights, it was a really nice urban holiday for us. The condo was so clean when we arrived and full stocked, I really recommend this condo while staying in Portland.

Great location, step outside your door and only a few yards to the seawall for a walk along the river. The condo was clean and the furniture was very comfortable (NO Ikea furniture). The kitchen was very well equipped and all the supplies you needed were there. The owners made sure you were checked in and that they would be available if needed. Stayed for a month and most definitely would rent here again.

My wife and I live in Portland and wanted an urban place to stay while we were remodeling our home. Tohis was a perfect solution. It is walking/ running/biking distance to the Pearl and downtown. The river view was breathtaking. The patio outside the living room had a small fire pit and very nice, clean gas barbecue. The parking was convenient and covered. There is a great little cafe that makes good pizza and is open late if you want a dessert or a nightcap. The condo is very well appointed. We were even able to entertain comfortably and didn't feel like we were camping. The owners are very responsive and available. The only problem in five weeks was a plugged drain. We called the owners and they had a plumber in within the hour. The owner even called halfway through our stay just to see if we needed anything. We would stay here again and recommend this highly.

                  Year Purchased: 2006

Why the Owner Chose Pearl District:
We purchased this delightful condo and fell in love with the area and the Portland scene. We live in Salem and use this for occasional weekends when we come to Portland. Now that I am retired we also travel extensively so we decided to share our second home.
