Our home is a unique 2 story townhouse detached from, but part of a luxury high-rise. It is modern comfort in a resort-like-amenity building in the heart of beautiful downtown San Diego's East Village, walking distance to theaters, shopping, and hundreds of restaurants. Our home has 2 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, hand-scraped hardwood floors, and a very roomy 1600 square feet (150 square meters) of living space.
The master bedroom is the entire second floor; it has queen size teak bed set, 19' (6m) vaulted ceilings, fireplace, flatscreen TV, DVD, DVR, an office nook, 2 walk-in closets, travertine shower with dual sinks, and washer & dryer at the top of the stairs. Also on the second floor is the very large sundeck with two lounge couches overlooking the pool and great for sun bathing and sunsets.
The ground floor has an open floor plan with 11' ceilings and contains the guest bedroom (queen size), bathroom, living room with 52' flatscreen TV & home theater, bluray/DVD, premium cable with DVR, the most comfortable couch ever made (seriously), fireplace, reclaimed wood dining table seats 10-12, lit with wine bottle chandelier, walk-in pantry, and a modern kitchen fully equipped with stainless steel appliances including microwave, gas Viking stove, dishwasher and J.A. Henkels knives, cookware, and dishware. There is also a nice patio off the living area with double doors that open for the nice San Diego breeze.
Our home is very nicely furnished in a contemporary style, with lots of original art, and artifacts. We have digital air conditioning and heat, wireless internet (WiFi), telephone (free US & Canada long-distance), two parking spaces, and a Ms. PacMan Arcade game for entertainment.
Just out our backdoor, you have access to the building amenities, including a heated lap pool, hot tub, BBQ grills, and a fully-equipped gym. Concierge desk and security guards are on duty 24-hours.

On the east side of downtown, the 'East Village' is San Diego's trend setting neighborhood. Urban, hip, and local, yet only 2 blocks to the heart of the famous 'Gaslamp District' and walking distance to countless entertainment and attractions. There are hundreds of bars, restaurants and shops within a few blocks. We are 3 blocks from a trolley stop, 7 blocks from the bay and Convention Center, 12 blocks from the train station and cruise ship terminal. There are two movie theaters and 4 performance theaters within 10 blocks. Balboa Park (our 'Central Park') is about a mile away and is home to the world famous San Diego Zoo, 14 museums, gardens, and hiking and cycling trails. Convenience stores and a pharmacy are 1 block away, and 3 supermarkets are within 6 blocks.
We are also only 3 miles from the airport, 5 miles from beaches and Sea World, 6 golf courses, and 15 miles from La Jolla and Mexico border. Vineyards and wine tasking in Temecula are only a 45-minute drive. San Diego is also famous for its breweries, 3 of which are walking distance and many others a short drive.
We are a 2-hour drive away from Los Angeles, skiing at Big Bear mountain, and also the desert resorts of Palm Springs. For longer drives, we are 5 hours from Las Vegas, 8 from the Grand Canyon, and 10 to San Francisco & Napa Valley. A rental car agency is walking distance from our home. We also have an Audi A3, which we will consider renting.

About the owner: We are Mark & Gabriela, a married couple in our thirties. We do not have any children or pets as we enjoy traveling extensively having visited some 50 countries and 35 U.S. States. We are fortunate to have our own business which allows us to travel. Neither of us are from San Diego originally, but we have made it our home for over 10 years because we feel it offers all the best of weather, outdoor activities, people, and entertainment.
