At Casa La Paloma, comfort and convenience are assured.
The larger house (the casa) has a master bedroom with a king size bed and a second bedroom with two twin beds (that can be converted to a king). The large bathroom has twin sinks and a beautifully tiled shower. There is ample closet and shelf space. The master bedroom opens onto the covered porch, which includes a comfy built-in sofa. The view from this porch takes in the outdoor kitchen and dining palapa, along with the pool and ocean beyond.
The smaller house (the casita) has a king size bed, one twin bed, lovely tiled shower and bathroom, lounging area and tiled patio opening onto the pool.
Bath and pool towels are provided, as well as a portable CD player, backgammon, scrabble, a ping pong table and some other kids' games. Free wireless Internet access is available on site for those who'd like to bring a laptop.
The fully furnished kitchen includes a coffemaker, blender, all utensils, toaster and toaster oven, bottled drinking water and refrigerator.
Out on the beach, there is a delightful shaded ramada with several hammocks. This is a fine place to nap, read, or idle away an afternoon.
Casa La Paloma is ideal for two couples, or one or two families. Maximum capacity is 6 adults and 2 kids.
The beach in front of the house is usually ideal for swimming and boogie boarding. There is a popular beach break for surfers as well.
Children of all ages are welcome at Casa La Paloma.
A wonderful local family lives in the gatehouse at the rear of the property. Gato is our master gardener and surf guide, his lovely wife Yesi is the housekeeper, and their beautiful young girls are Montserrat (Monzie) and Emily . Yesi is also an amazing cook. Guests can contract with her to prepare some meals. She does wonderful things with the fresh shrimp, lobster, and fish available nearby.

Troncones is a very special place: remote, yet accessible; comfortable but still unspoiled by tourist overload. Troncones is a sleepy little village, and the local people are friendly and warm. Iguanas, lizards, and colorful butterflies abound. Sea turtles lay their eggs in the sand and there is a local project to preserve and protect them. The soft breezes that waft in from the ocean caress you and rustle the palm trees and the sun shines warmly just about every day. The night sky in Troncones is a wonder to behold, an array of stars that encourage contemplation and romance.

About the owner: Casa La Paloma is owned by Bruce and Emmy Cushnir from Santa Cruz, California. Bruce owns and operates a Santa Cruz furniture store (The Couch Potato--) and Emmy is registered nurse and a licensed acupuncturist. We come to our little paradise in Troncones at least two or three times a year and we always have a wonderful time. Our two teenage boys have grown up with these regular visits and they both speak Spanish very well. Our caretaker family has become a part of our family. They have been with us since we built the property.
Why the Owner Chose Troncones: Troncones is a special village, and we think Casa La Paloma is located ideally, fronting the best section of the beach, but just a ten minute walk to the center of the village. Troncones has managed to avoid the tourist crush that happens to so many beach towns. The locals are friendly, the restaurants are not fancy, but there are many that are excellent. The beach is never crowded, even during the holiday times.
The Unique Benefits at this House: Casa La Paloma is very private. We own the undeveloped lot on one side (and plan to keep it that way!). Our neighbor on the other side is rarely there and doesn't rent her home. We rent the property in its entirety--it is your groups private retreat!
