I have been in the enviable position of owning two other properties at Wild Dunes - Seascape and Ocean Club. The Seascape property was valued at $1,000,000 and the Ocean Club property was worth $1,700,000. That was certainly ‘tall cotton’ by anyone’s standards. Alas - herein lies the rub - I was not happy. My greatest desire was to awaken in the morning, propped up on my pillow with a steaming cup of tea or coffee in my hand, look out a massive window directly onto a scene of waves crashing on the beach. Visualizing myself opening the sliding glass doors, I would hear the hypnotic crescendo of the rise and fall of the waves and feel the mist as it seeped gently into the room. The crowning touch was to watch the sun’s golden orb edge upward over the water as I sipped my morning beverage and basked in the glow. However, at both of the other properties, if I propped up on my pillow and looked straight ahead, I had a glorious view of the.....TV. I could have done this back home.

As you can surmise, I am a dreamer. My web site does not have a lot of meat and potatoes. VRBO when I last looked had about 7 Port O’Call listings (#661, #41704, #20357, #7381, #9703, #52420 and #46431.) I would suggest that you check these out and compare. All of the owners have a common goal - we want to meet your needs and insure that you have a wonderful vacation experience. What makes us unique vs other Port O' Call villas is we are DIRECTLY on the ocean and have a third floor unit (no over head noise and better angle) allowing us a second story 'widow's walk' that leads to a deck above our screened-in porch overlooking the beach and ocean for miles beyond. The screened in porch below the deck provides a distinct advantage for the top floor units. (Elevator provided at no additional cost!) We can truthfully brag that we have the best view of the beach from both our deck and porch, without exception!

Our villa has been completely redecorated and updated from top to bottom when we purchased it in 2004 - we cordially invite you to enjoy our new furniture, ultra modern appliances, freshly painted and newly carpeted vacation haven. A large portion of the wall displays an original painting of a beach sunrise, while other signed and numbered prints create interior beauty that is only rivaled by the real and actual breathtaking oceanfront view. We are proud to boast that we have the finest housekeeper in Wild Dunes. If you are so inclined, you may picnic off our floor without the benefit of a blanket. If you are one who loves a deal, let me assure you that if you can quote me a better price from someone else, I will happily beat it. ---Apples to apples---

We provide a VERY SPECIAL RATE for WORKING COUPLES in the off-season that wish to use our wireless, high speed Internet connection to stay in touch with their offices. In one of the pictures you will note a desk that you can work from. We have installed a special screen for the window, that filters out the sun but not the vision of the waves lapping at the shoreline. Sorry, but you cannot stay beyond your week even if your boss calls me and says it is the most productive week of work you have ever had.

No one that knows me well ever accused me of embelishment! But since you and I are total strangers, and my writing may have an embelishing tone you are urged to click on 'comments' further down on the web page. None of them stand to gain financially from you renting our place. Their words come from the heart.

Location, location, location ! If your desire is to be at the beach, if you want to know it will be there right in front of you, all around you, 24/7, then this is the location for you. You can eat out at some of the finest restaurants in the South, play golf, tour Fort Fisher, or ride the bikes that we have provided for you.
But what it all boils down to is the setting of our condo is all about the beach and one’s love for the ocean and certainly mine. Imagine our saddness for the past two years of watching the ocean slowly laying claim to our beach. But in the end it took us nine million dollars, two months, working 7/24 to claim it back.

The South has two major cities that reek of culture, the arts & history: Savannah and Charleston. It never ceases to amaze me I can have the beach and Charleston at the same time...two very different worlds, 25 minutes apart. They say Heaven is going to be a pretty nice place. In my opinion, it has some competition!

My first priority is to make sure we meet your needs. Much as we would like to have you rent from us, it is meeting your needs that is more important. To that end I have additional information to email you. Just fill out the form adjacant to this text. Ask any particular questions you might have. Hopefully I can answer them. We are good about keeping it up to date. We only rent by the week all year round, Saturday to Saturday. There is one exception: you can rent January or February (four weeks) by the month.

My name is Peter Cole and I am the owner’s representative. I wear many hats: an oceanfront, resort, rental condo owner; property manager; rental agent; dog tender (That is Woody in the picture. Spends most of his day in the chair across from my desk watching me work.) and favorite; loving husband. As a Medicare card carrying senior, I look back over a full life. My chosen life ‘occupation’ (my Mother could never bring herself to call it a job) was to take teens on cross country camping trips; 3000 teens in all, spanning 33 years. My nephew Doug slipped into my shoes as I slipped into my retirement. My friends and relatives worried about my having too much time on my hands in retirement so they gave me their resort properties to manage. My reputation as a good manager/agent grew. Now 12 properties fill my stable. It was 1967 when I took ownership of my first rental property. In the years since, we have bought and sold 11. I come to you with a lot of experience. I do not take lightly the importance of your vacation. I want to match your needs with the properties I represent. There are 16 pictures, a video and lots of verbiage.     • The wodow's watch is a perfect spot to watch a storm move out to sea, star gaze with a telescope or just watch the sun come up. We cannot think of anything the owner could provide to make the stay any better. The wireless router is especially helpful for smart phones and laptops. We WILL stay with Peter again.

    • We just got back from a week at Port O'Call F302, and had one of the most restful, relaxing vacations ever - due in large part to the beautiful condo! It was tastefully decorated, comfortable and inviting. We thoroughly enjoyed both porches, but spent most of our time on the "Crow's Nest." Our 2 mini schnauzers loved the porches the best - they could watch everything happening on the beach and feel the ocean breeze. The bikes were also great to have on hand. We were so impressed with your condo that we immediately booked the same week for next year, and can't wait to go back! Thank you for the very thorough information on how to best enjoy the beach and surrounding areas.

    • Our week at this condo was one of the best we’ve had at Isle of Palms. The attention to detail was very appreciated from the morning paper delivery, current magazines, beach bikes and best views of the ocean from both the screened in porch and widow’s peak. This condo is the perfect distance to the beach; everyone was very helpful and accommodating. We cooked all our meals in the well stocked kitchen and ate on the screened in porch or 4th floor widow’s peak. The views of the ocean are spectacular. We watched the sun rise and moon rise daily. This is a true gem.

    • We had a wonderful time. This is a magnificent property in an unbelievable location. Our only regret was that we enjoyed just sitting and looking at the ocean so much, that we didn't have time to do all the other things we planned in the Charleston area.

    • We had an amazing 7 days at this beachouse. Every need and want were taken care of by the owners. Our pup pups had an even better time we think. We especially loved the sunrises and sunsets. Best place we've stayed ever at the coast. We will certainly use this condo again and again.

    • We just loved staying in that condo for two weeks. It is a magical place and we loved the fact we were right on the beach. It was also great to be able to bring our Standard Schnauzer with us. Everything you might need is available in that condo --it is like home away from home.

We enjoyed the bottle of wine, the Charleston tea, and we brought home the pen and pad you provided.The condo is beautifully decorated and furnished, very clean, and stocked with an entertainment center, movies, books, and two very nice televisions.     • We just stayed in your wonderful condo. We could not ask for a nicer and friendlier place. The decor was absolutely gorgeous. Lying in bed and looking out the window at the ocean reminded my husband of being on a cruise ship. Breakfast on the Widow's walk was spectacular! The staff and other vacationers were very nice. Helped us with our sons wheelchair when we went down to the beach with him! Will definetly come back again and again!

    • My husband and I just returned from our vacation at Wild Dunes and absolutely loved this condo! We were able to bring our Golden Retriever which was wonderful.. The condo was everything we imagined and more..It was exceptionally clean and stocked w/everything you could possilby need. We will be back for sure- and thank you for the bikes, beach chairs, wine, tea:). Thanks for your hospitality!! We will recommend to all of our friends.
