Luxurious tropical living at Banana Beach just across the street from the ocean: all new upscale furniture, appliances, and amenities. Spacious and open, three bedroom, two and a half bath home just two miles north of 'Old Florida' Flagler Beach. Open and airy home with ten foot ceilings and indirect lighting. Everything you need for relaxation and entertainment.
Linger in the Florida room over breakfast and the newspaper or sit out by the pool and listen to the birds. Huge master bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi tub. Enjoy your morning coffee or a nightcap on the huge, screened balcony off the master bedroom overlooking the pool. Well appointed gourmet kitchen is open to the dining area and the comfortable living room.
The lower level has a full bathroom, family room with wet bar and refrigerator, and there are two bedrooms - one with a queen bed, the other with two twin beds. The family room allows access to the pool area.
ENJOY our large, kidney-shaped, WATERFALL POOL. The pool is surrounded by a Chattahoochee cool deck and there is a convenient outdoor shower where you can rinse off. RELAX in the comfortable lounge chairs with a cool drink where you won't be bothered by bugs - the 53 foot by 40 foot pool area is totally enclosed with a screened lanai. Grill dinner outside on the gas grill just off the kitchen, then walk-out the back gate of our fenced yard, and cross the road to watch the moon rise over the ocean. We have a deeded beach access walkway for your use. Our home is beautifully landscaped with lots of palms, hibiscus, and other tropical plants.
EXPLORE the wide beach during the day. Beach chairs (stored in the garage) are provided for your use. Look for shells and sand crabs and watch the shore birds.
EXPLORE Flagler Beach, only two miles to the south. Get the bicycles out of the garage, ride out to the adjacent bike path that runs up and down A1A and off you go. Enjoy the scenery and local shops, good restaurants, and the fishing pier.
EXPLORE further afield on some day trips. Marineland is only 10 miles away, historic St. Augustine, 31 miles north on A1A (be sure to go on the Ghosts and Gravestones tour) or head west to Disney World, Sea World, MGM, and Universal Studios.

Considering that we have been using VRBO for 4 years, this house has one of the most accurate descriptions that we have seen. The screen surrounding pool is torn in several places, so plan to spend some time removing debris from the pool when you arrive. Pool furniture is adequate, but needs to be replaced. We enjoyed riding our bikes, but be sure to take your owns bikes if you plan to ride. Nice, wide bike paths are within easy access, but as the bikes at this home have no air in the tires and no functioning brakes, they cannot be ridden. An easy walk to the beach, as stated on VRBO info page. Private access to the beach (once you find the info on the combination to the lock) is fantastic. We spent an entire week and only crossed paths with other beach-goers once. Inside furnishings are above average and quite comfortable. Only a short drive north or south to a large number of fine restaurants, and close to grocery and convenience stores as well. The lighthouse at Ponce is a must. Plenty of covered porches for those who like to be outside as much as possible, and a nice propane grill that allows you to cook at home. Inside of the house was clean and orderly, ample towels, etc. and beach towels also. The table by the pool had not been cleaned, still had spilled juice/mustard/ketchup/mayo from previous guests. The pool deck area is covered in mold and in desparate need of cleaning. The landscape crew is very courteous, and they do a good job of maintaining the grounds. We were told that the pool man would be coming on Wednesday, but we never saw him. Overall experience was good, we would probably use this house again when visiting the Flager Beach area.Recommended for: Age 55+.

The pictures do not begin to do this home justice. It is large and spacious, perfect for our family. The pool was awesome to have after days spent at the beach which is a very easy walk. The house was immaculate, and very well equipped. Having been displaced by the Gulf Oil Spill, and never visiting this area, we were very impressed with both the clean uncrowded beaches, and the lack of tourists in the area which allowed much easier dining and shopping. The Golden Lion and Blue are a must for dining! We will be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.
