Location: North Shore, Lake Tahoe (Squaw Valley) California, USA (one and a half miles from Squaw ski-lifts, 40 minute drive to Reno, three and a half hours San Francisco). Unit is at 6200 feet of elevation.

Located at SQUAW VALLEY (Olympic Valley Post Office) SKI RESORT in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of Northern California, only five miles from northern tip of Lake Tahoe. This private condominium is located less than one and a one-half miles from the ski resort’s main lifts and half a mile from the ski lift at The Resort At Squaw Creek (the resort is four star with a championship golf course) which links to the main resort. The unit is serviced by a shuttle to the ski resort.
Truckee is eight miles to the north and Tahoe City (on Lake Tahoe) is five miles to the south. Reno is 46 miles driving distance and San Francisco in 200 miles away using major interstate highway 80. The Condo is decorated with taste, is well maintained and is fully furnished with all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The Condo has a wonderful view of the ski mountain.
The 1300 square foot (120 square meters) unit is perfect for a small family (sorry, no pets) and sleeps four comfortably (king-size bed in one bed room and two single beds in another). It also has a queen sofa sleeper for surprise guests. The living areas have a galley kitchen with a see through of a great view. The sitting area has a gas fireplace, a large convertible couch and a chair and one half. There is a washer and a dryer. All rooms have vaulted ceilings.
The house provides everything: bed and bath linens, a fully equipped kitchen with a Jenn Air range, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposal etc., all cooking and dining utensils. There are two cable TVS, a VCR, a DVD, a CD/Tape-stereo, and a large bookcase.
The Condo complex has a swimming pool, hot tub, dry sauna and tennis courts. Parking (two parking spots minimum) areas are ploughed in winter. This is an ideal place to live all year.
Squaw Valley has a recently constructed village with many quality restaurants and small shops. Major grocery, drug store, gas stations etc. are located in Truckee (eight miles), Tahoe City (five miles). Reno (46 miles) is a full service city which also features gambling and nationally recognized night life.
Winter-In addition to world famous Squaw Valley skiing, the area features at least five other ski and cross country resorts for variety. Squaw also has ice skating.
Summer-Many wonderful hiking areas are either within walking distance or an easy drive. Lake Tahoe is five miles away with boating, swimming or enjoying the beaches. Rafting on the Truckee River (starts in Tahoe City-five miles is also popular). The ski resort has high camp (8200 feet) with swimming, hot tub and tennis. The Condo complex has a wonderful pool, hot tub and tennis courts. A soccer field and child’s park is a short walk from the front door. No Pets.
Security deposit of one months’ rent. Professional cleaning fee $120. Require 5 month ski lease @ $2000 per month (Dec thru May). Reduced rates remainder of year. Currently on ski lease 12/1/08 through 4/30/09.

Year Purchased: 1983
After careers in the corporate world, We are retired and use the condo as a second home. We skied for many years, but have given it up for less demanding recreation. The property is fully furnished as if we were to live there full time. We do use the condo frequently outside of the ski season and love it. We offer our home to others to enjoy beautiful Squaw Valley in the winter.

Squaw Valley is a world class ski resort. The condo complex is well built with a pool, tennis courts and hot tub. The condo itself is lovely and well furnished. It was everthing we would hope for in a mountain property.
