You can be as laid back or as active as you like.
Key Lime condo has 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and antique writing desk for your laptop with an ensuite bath with separate vanity area and stall shower and the other with twin beds and a bath across the hall with tub/shower combination. Other attractions close by include monuments and museums, an aquarium and theater, nature preserves and a variety of restaurants and shopping opportunities and lots of lots of outdoor sports activities.
A unique aspect of Key Lime Condo is its location in the Shorewalk Resort complex which has so many sports opportunities on site. There are 2 swimming pools one of which has a morning water aerobics class daily which is free and open to all. Both pools are heated to 86 degrees and have adjoining hot tubs. There are tennis courts with balls and racquets provided by signing up in the club house. There is a basketball court and basketballs are also available. Likewise fishing poles so you can try your luck in catching one in the stocked ponds in the 30 acre resort complex.
If you prefer not to drive, Key Lime is a good choice for you. It is close to shopping, restaurants and a movie theater and just a block from the bus that takes you in just 10 minutes to Anna Maria Island. Once on the island you can ride the free all around the island trolley to take you from Coquina Beach in the south up to the City Pier in Anna Maria at the north end of the island, or you can catch a trolley and head south to Longboat Key and St. Armand's Key.

Great Place - Great Owner!!
Great Place - Great Owner!!
I loved staying in Margaret's condo. I have stayed at Shorewalk Vacation Villas multiple times now and I would have to say that this condo was the most updated "cozy" place there. On top of being a nice place to stay, I could not ask for better owners, who took time out of their own vacation to help me with mine. Thanks so much Margaret, my family and I had a GREAT time.

Best condo, fabulous family vacation
Best condo, fabulous family vacation
My family of 4 (kids 3 & 7) tremendously enjoyed our stay at this Condo in Shorewalk. Especially big hits were the two pools (kids favorite) and the blackout shade in the kids' bedroom (parents favorite). Both pools have a shallow step covering most of the side, good for little ones who can't swim yet. It was great being in such a central location; easy to go to the movies, visit shops, and try out new restaurants but also a quick drive from the beach, which we went to most days. The internet was fast and the layout of the condo is very conducive to family interaction; you can easily keep an eye on the kids while cooking due to a pass-through from the kitchen to the dining/living area. We also liked that the kids' bedroom was on the opposite end of the condo from the TV and from the parents' bedroom - which meant that we could watch TV after the kids were in bed without worrying that we would wake them. We met quite a few people vacationing in Shorewalk. Everyone was friendly and the kids made several new friends to play with during our stay.

The facts on my stay
The facts on my stay
1. Ants all over the kitchen, the ants ruined about $100 worth of groceries. 2. The smell of mold everywhere, closets could not be used due to the strong odor- probably a safety issue as well. 3. WIFI internet did not work till the second day- lost 2 days of working remotely 4. One of the toilets had remnants sitting on the bottom 5. Cable did not work till second day 6. Owner offered to lengthen my stay for free, but we had obligations, kids back in school, etc. and could not stay- somehow this unrealistic offer was perceived by the owner to be enough to make up for the problems. No refund was given.

Owner response: Robert, his wife and 3 children moved into our condo on October 3. Although we have a limit of 4 persons, and he informed us that there were 2 adults and 2 children in his party, he arrived with 5. We overlooked this issue, not wanting to disrupt the family's trip. When he arrived, Robert contacted us complaining of issues with the condo. We immediately sent our cleaning lady, Beth, over to see what was amiss. She found 3 ants in the kitchen which she sprayed, and no smell of mold. (The unit has an ultraviolet light in the air handler to address the mold problems often found in warm, damp climates like Florida.) The bathrooms were clean, as was the rest of the condo. (See other reviews and also refer to the reviews of our other vrbo property 400506, also cleaned by Beth). Wifi and cable were having difficulties so we contacted Bright House Networks, and the problems were fixed. My husband Jim and I did our best to please Robert, immediately responding to his complaints by sending Beth over to re-clean the condo, giving him a bottle of wine and offering a couple of extra free days. We try hard to make sure our guests are happy-- with their questions answered before their stay and issues addressed immediately if they arise during their stay. We are available by phone and email and respond promptly to any concerns. We thought all was well with Robert and family after the first full day at the condo as we heard no further from him. After his departure, however,he contacted us saying that we had offered him a refund and he wanted his money. We cannot give into someone who is acting as a bully and threatening a bad review so he can avoid paying for his stay. Robert has not been honest either in making his reservation or in his negative comments. Sincerely, Margaret and Jim
My husband and I enjoyed a get away to Key Lime Condo for our anniversary in June. It was perfect for us! It is beautifully furnished with a private yet convenient location. We especially enjoyed swimming in the pools and sitting out on the lanai overlooking the lake. We love Anna Maria Island which is just 10 minutes away, and we went over to enjoy the beach and watch the sunset. Margaret and Jim, the owners, were helpful to us as we worked out the details of our stay. We had a lovely time and plan to return one day. We highly recommend the condo to others.

Wonderful condo! Great location!
Wonderful condo! Great location!
We stayed at this condo for my brother's wedding on Anna Maria Island and it was perfect for our needs! It's freshly painted and renovated. The decor is super cute and the furnishings are very comfortable. The owners have added a lot of extra touches including offering beach towels, beach chairs and even a beach umbrella! It was a great location for us - close to our family members, easy access to the beach (10-15 min) and right near Publix (1 minute!). What more can you ask for? The owners are wonderful and were excellent at communicating with us before, during and after our stay. When we get back to Florida to visit, we'll definitely stay there again.

About the owner: Jim is a Florida native who vacationed in the Bradenton area as a child. His grandparents built a retirement home on Anna Maria Island in 1941, and his family has enjoyed happy times there ever since. Margaret and Jim met in the third grade, married after college and have three grown children--Graham, Ian and Meg--and 4 grandchildren. Our main residence is in West Chester, Pennsylvania in an 1876 Victorian townhouse. Jim is a mechanical engineer who taught at a community college, and Margaret worked as a school psychologist in an independent school. We have hosted many international students in our home and been involved with exchange programs around the world, especially in Japan and the UK. We retired in 2011 and are enjoying time with family and lots of travel. Last summer we went to Germany for the wedding of one of our exchange students and then on to the Czech Republic. This summer we are headed to England, Wales and France.
Why the Owner Chose Shorewalk:
We bought this property in 2013 because of its excellent location, close to the beaches of Anna Maria Island and all conveniences. We particularly like the Shorewalk complex because of its location, friendly atmosphere and diverse activities, from tennis to basketball and barbecuing to bocce. We also enjoy Shorwalk's international atmosphere and on our recent visit heard French, Spanish, German and Norwegian spoken and also English in its Canadian, American and British forms. Located just one block from a bus line, it is possible to walk to shopping and entertainment and just a short bus ride to the beach. Key Lime Condo is located on the ground floor at the end of building so it is light and cheerful. The view from the dining area is of a white bridge crossing the canal and from the lanai you see the lake with its wildlife framed by palms and pines. This is one of the most private locations in Shorewalk and yet close to the activity areas of swimming and tennis. Our special thanks to John van Zandt and Helen and Eric Povey who introduced us to Shorewalk.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:

Unique and interesting. feels like home with all necessary kitchen appliances, utensils, 2 sets of dishes, many serving plates and dishes, lots of towels, sheets and bed coverings, etc. unit has always been maintained and updated with beautiful tile floors and a new kitchen and bath suite in the MBR Newly painted and totally refurnished April 2013 Owners who care very much about their property and want you to have a wonderful vacation
