If you are looking for a home away from home, look no further than the Sioux Lodge. It has all the amenities of home with all the charm of Montana. We've taken great pride in all the details to make our home warm, friendly and inviting. This four bedroom, three and a half bath home is perfect for families and for entertaining friends. Located on a gorgeous bluff just above Big Sky Resort's Mountain Village and also just a few miles from the newest ski resort in the West, Moonlight Basin. Sioux Lodge has ski trail access directly to the White Otter ski lift. Every single room has stunning views of Lone Peak.

Containing 3200 feet of luxury living on two levels, the home includes a first floor master suite with jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The stunning great room has expansive windows and views of Lone Peak, cozy furniture, and a floor to ceiling fieldstone fireplace. On the lower level, you will find a guest suite, two additional bedrooms (including a special 'kids' room with two sets of bunk beds), full bathroom, and a recreation room with satellite TV. (Crib and high chair also supplied). The house also has over 900 feet of deck space in five different locations for privacy and enjoyment during the warmer months.

We have stocked the home with literature, board games, videos and video games so you will always have plenty to do. And the views of Lone Mountain are dramatic from every room in the home. Since the home is on two levels, there is always a quiet spot to read or kick back. The Sioux Lodge has an instant charm and comfort that wraps you in luxury.

The house is also our second home so you will find all the comforts including a fully stocked gourmet kitchen with all the tools, a complete spice rack, satellite TV, a desk for quick office tasks, a two car heated, attached garage, and so much more!

Big Sky has two... Yes two... Ski resorts to choose from. The established Big Sky Resort centered around the mountain village has 4350 feet of vertical, 400 inches of dry, light powder snow each year, 3812 skiable acres, and runs as long as six miles!

Big Sky, Montana is also famous for short lift lines and tons of open, light powder skiing in beautiful country. Montana is all about open space and elbow room and you will find this at Big Sky!

You will also find the brand new Moonlight Basin resort adjacent to Big Sky. Moonlight's trail network's predominantly north-facing exposure keeps the snow will stay drier and fluffier than that found at most other resorts. Most of our guests find that they can ski different runs each day if they desire with short lift lines and mountains all to themselves! Between Moonlight and Big Sky, you will find 5812 skiable acres of light, dry powder skiing. This makes Big Sky/Moonlight the #1 resort in the US in skiable acreage and vertical descent (4350 feet).

Summertime activities are endless with Yellowstone just 45 minutes down the road, blue ribbon, world class fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking and biking in the mountains, and so much more! The summer season in Montana is dream come true!

What are you possibly waiting for, reserve the Sioux Lodge today! Call us or send us an e-mail now!

    • Hi Tim The Lodge certainly met all our expectations! What a beautiful house, beautiful view, great weather - we loved the constant variety - lightning and thunder, beautiful clouds, brilliant blue skies, starry nights - quite a change from sunny southern California! I took a picture of Lone Mountain from the master bed my first morning - I could not believe the view even before getting up. My teen-aged sons really enjoyed having the bottom floor to themselves after long days of hiking, biking, rafting, and visiting Yellowstone, and we enjoyed having the space upstairs and on the deck to enjoy the wonderful views. A cute little family of marmots visited us regularly, and on our last evening deer strolled through the yard right next to the deck to have a bite to eat. We would love to visit again sometime, and hope to convince some of our California relatives to join us, as your house would make a great place for a bigger group - 2 families would be very comfortable. It would be great to try Big Sky for skiing, though it might be a bit of a trek for us from LA in the wintertime. Yours, Liz Simmons

    • We went expecting some nice views, we got TONS MORE!!! We were floored at the beauty that this lovely Lodge has to offer. My family was captivated by the beauty and taken back by the hospitality of Big Sky. We drove from Houston, Texas and took a scenic route that my parents always wanted to do when we were smaller. We loved it and want to go back as soon as we can. There is no place like Texas, except Montana

    • Hi Tim, Thanks for the return of the security deposit - we did our best not to break anything! We had a great time on our trip to Big Sky. The Sioux Lodge was excellent - we were very comfortable, and enjoyed all the little extras. Thanks for all the detailed touches - the well stocked pantry, hot tub ready to go, Bathrobes in all the closets, Ski boot dryer, all the tools a chef could want to prepare a gourmet meal, CD's and movies, and on and on. We would definitely recommend the Sioux lodge to others heading to Big Sky - Thanks again. Best regards Patrick Molloy

    • Tim, We are now home and settled back into our home here. Thanks for letting us rent the Lodge. It is indeed a comfortable place. It was wonderful to be there last week over Christmas. Our kids really had a great time. Javan spoke about his secret longing to go to a ski resort and stay and ski with out making the long journey home after a rigorous day of skiing. I think that I also had that same fantasy and it was fulfilled at the Sioux. After a good day of skiing, a prime rib dinner and some fermented drink we enjoyed a dip in the hot tub. Marie was first thrown into the snow and quickly returned to the warmth of the tub. Then she climbed the hill and back to the tub on a dare. Then a snow ball fight ensued with all of us and back into the tub. I do hope that Laurie found the house in order as we exited. Thanks again. Craig Druckenmiller

    • Hello Tim, I wanted to let you know we had a great time at your home in Big Sky last week. The other family that vacationed with us also loved your home. You and your family thought of everything that someone would need during their stay. On two seperate evenings mule deer came in your yard to feed. We also went horseback riding and whitewater rafting through the Geyser adventures in Big Sky. The guide made the trip so much fun. Tim thank you for having this companies information in the welcome packet you sent out. We would recommend the house for anyone looking for a beautiful and comfortable home to stay in on vacation. We had 4 adults and 3 teenage boys and had plenty of space. It has great views of Lone mountain. We spent two days in Yellowstone and no one wanted to leave the house. We also found on the map that Big Sky has a waterfall and we drove to it just minutes from the house. It is about .8 mile hike back on a very nice trail. When we got to the waterfall my family climbed down the side to the bottom and took beautiful pictures. To anyone looking at this house to stay in for vacation the house is breathtaking when you see it in person. It is decorated and supplied so wonderfully that you will not want to leave during your stay to sight see. We have so many wonderful memories to hold on to and thank you for allowing us to stay in your home to create them. In a few years the boys will be grown up and this is probably our last family vacation before college.

    • Hi Tim, The family had a wonderful stay at the Sioux Lodge last week. From the moment we walked in everybody was impressed with how beautiful the Lodge was kept. The lodge was stocked with just about every amenity we could ask for. The kids loved it as well and did not want to leave for our planned day trips to Yellowstone. The View of Lone Mountain was spectacular and the weather was perfect. We look forward to making this a regular vacation spot and will highly recommend Sioux Lodge to our friends! Elva Yulatic

    • Tim, It was a real pleasure to have been able to work with you regarding your fabulous home. Our arrival to your exquisite and wonderfully stocked home immediately put us at ease. We had 8 men . The ages ranged from 40 through 70. Two fathers and the sons plus other close friends. The spaciousness of the kithen, dining room and living room provided great surrounding after a day of skiing. The hot tub got a work-out as well. Bedrooms and individual beds made it easy for everyone to have their own bed. Your responsiveness only added to the feeling that we were guests out for the week. On behalf of my group, THANKS For your hospitality. David Gottlieb

    • We had a great time at Moonlight and Big Sky. Your home is beautiful. A number of us commented on how you seem to have thought of everything. If we needed something, it was there. Even to the point of packing: It's the night before our flights and we're trying to figure out how much the bags weigh so we don't get hit with the over 50 lb surcharge. The question was raised "Gee, do you think Tim has a scale in here somewhere?" Sure enough, there it was on the shelf in the master bedroom. Just one example. Thanks again. Kris Mowery

    • Our trip in early September was wonderful. We are from Kansas and our friends are from Florida. The first night when we arrived at sunset we were greeted by a calf moose. It was almost like it was an arranged event for our benefit. A couple of nights later we saw it again (with mom) across the driveway, grazing. On yet another evening we were on the back deck, and a fox made it's rounds around the perimeter. The Sioux Lodge is a great house with all the special amenities needed to enjoy some fantastic views of nature. We can only imagine what a beautiful place it is in the winter season. • Tim, I was meaning to write to you tonight, so it was quite a coincidence that you wrote at the same time. Thank you so much for your hospitality! The lodge was absolutely gorgeous; it exceeded our expectations! The setting, the decorating, the amenities - everything was perfect. You had thought of everything - comfortable beds, toiletries, food staples, laundry detergent, even Off and sunscreen! The teenagers enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. My sister had hired a photographer to come out from Bozeman to capture our family reunion. He took some fabulous pictures in the yard and in the meadow next to the deck with the gorgeous mountains and the bluest sky you have ever seen - Big Sky country. We enjoyed hiking the mountains. My 6 year old niece made it to the top! We did the dinner ride with Jake's Horses. I had gone on breakfast rides before, but this was fabulous. The variety of scenery, through the streams and river, ending with a steak dinner - it was all so much fun. (Except for walking after you got off the horse!) It was close enough for us to enjoy a day at Yellowstone and still come back for a glass of wine and relaxing evening under the stars on the deck. We were there during the meteor shower, and couldn't have been in a better location. I think we must have been the closest human beings to it. Everything was absolutely perfect. I have no recommendations for any improvements. Thank you again for the wonderful stay. We will most definitely keep it in mind when we return to Montana. Valerie
