Great rental house for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing in the winter. Summertime offers chairlift rides, fantastic hiking, mountain biking, golf, motorcycle touring, children's programs, canoeing and tubing trips on the Shenandoah River, and more. The cottage is located at Massanutten Resort near Harrisonburg, Virginia. It has both easy access to the ski area and to the new water park. We now have wireless internet access and a computer for guest use.

Massanutten Cottage has three bedrooms and two full baths. Upstairs, there is a queen-size bed in one bedroom with a futon couch (suitable for one small child), and a full-size bed with a single trundle in the other upstairs bedroom. The downstairs bedroom has two twin beds that can be converted into a king. When you set up your rental you will specify which arrangement you would prefer for the downstairs bedroom. Linens and towels are provided.

The cottage has a modern kitchen and all the pans and utensils that you may require. A large combined dining and living area makes for a comfortable area for all to relax. The house is equipped with a cable television and a DVD player. The house is immaculate and very comfortable.

Our guests have truly enjoyed the use of our private HOT TUB!!!! A 6 person hot tub graces our back porch overlooking the woods. It is great for unwinding after a cold winter day or a day of hiking or biking. Please note that there are quiet hours posted for the hot tub, as we have full time neighbors.

We have had great feedback from our previous guests and enjoy opening our very comfortable vacation home to others when we are not using it. We are able to be a little bit more choosy about our renters because of our reputation. We prefer renters that enjoy and respect the quiet neighborhood in which our house is located. We do not condone the use of our house for parties and raucous gatherings. We also prefer that our guests have no more than three cars in the driveway. We hope that you will enjoy the cottage as much as our family and repeat guests do.

  • These comments are for Massanutten Cottage, 47313. It was a real treat to have four adults, and two grandchildren stay in a cozy clean home. The location, floor plan, and hot tub were the best. We walked to the park and hiked, spent two days at the water park, and enjoyed the surrounding countryside. I wish we had stayed longer. Highly recommend this cottage for a carefree vacation.   • The family accommodations in this charmingly furnished mountain cottage are spacious and comfortable. During a couple of visits already in the winter months, we've enjoyed evenings relaxing by the mesmerizing glow of the fireplace and recounting with friends the highlights of the day's alpine events.
