The Unique Benefits at this Home
Fly fishermen enjoy stepping out the door and casting their lines. Children love playing on the banks of the river or jumping in the river in the summer. Hikers/cross-country skiers take advantage of the trail just behind the property which leads to Difficult Campground near Independence Pass (2 1/2 mile trail). Skiers and shoppers hop on the free bus (which comes 2x an hour) to the center of town/Ajax. Others stroll into town on the paved trail which begins 500 yards from the house. Visiting dogs love the outdoor space to roam. All guests enjoy relaxing in the hot tub by the river. It is steps away from the master bedroom suite. Those who need to work while on vacation have a large office with wireless internet, fax and printer. All bedrooms, media room and great room have flat-screen T.Vs, ipod docks and en-suite bathrooms.

I am originally from Kansas and have lived in Colorado for the past 31 years. I bought this home in 1987 and did a complete remodel and major addition. The home was updated again in 2004 and 2006. It is a very special property (5 acres on the river in Aspen), offering a feeling of serenity and country living, yet very close to world-class skiing, gourmet restaurants, Aspen Music Festival and all the recreational activities of the internationally renowed resort of Aspen, Colorado. I have rented it, short and long term, for 5 years and have many repeat customers each year, many who say, "We never want to leave!"
