Amazing and relaxing vacation!

Our stay at this home was everything and more than we had hoped for. It also couldn't have come at a better time and the whole family was able to deeply relax, laugh alot and spend quality time together. The owner, Geri has made this rental a no-brainer. The luxurious, as well as every day details truly allowed us to focus on our vacation rather than on what we needed...it was all already there. We have rented through VRBO before, and part of our decision making this time was based on the great reviews. We thought people may have been exaggerating a bit about feeling as though they were in the Caribbean or Hawaii, but honestly...they were right. The things we will most remember about this vacation are...the peace, silence and privacy, the rich, clean smell of the surrounding woods, the cedar home and the glowing campfires on the beach, the bath-water-warm water that is shallow, calm and crystal clear, the flora and fauna, the amazing starry nights, the comfort of the house (especially the beds!) and the charming surrounding towns and the picturesque Sleeping Bear Dunes. The pictures honestly don't do it justice. And we liked that there were only 5 pictures...because it was like being a kid on Christmas morning when we walked through the front door (which never needs to be locked)....room after room of beautiful, relaxed-chic coziness....and the views!!!! Geri could not have been a better hostess and readily addressed our every question prior to and during our stay. We have already booked our return trip next year! Thank you again, Geri!

Escape to the Caribbean!

My friend and I have rented more than 12 homes (with & without dads &/or kids) over the years and this one is now our favorite! There is absolutely nothing missing. The pictures are great but they don't even come close to the private Caribbean beach house that it really feels like! Also, it does not feel like many of the "rental" homes we have stayed at. More like a beach resort and we were the honored guests staying in the VIP villa. The kids were swimming in the beautiful blue water every day and the moms were relaxing in the hot tub every night. The linens and towels were wonderfully luxurious as well! There are tons of things to see and do close by but we really spent most of the week at our private resort. The only negative comment I have is - that we had to leave! Marcia, Rachel(15), & Tara(11) and Amy, Caroline(12), & Kathleen(12).

Our family celebration

We had our 4 children and their significant others with us all week to help celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Your home was the perfect venue for our celebration. It is very private, quiet and extremely comfortable. The dock, beach, grounds, and lake were breathtaking. It is close to other activities like Sleeping Bear beaches, wineries, and great entertainment in the surrounding communities. The only downside is the guest house is in need of some TLC. Thanks again for an extremely enjoyable week!

Thank you so much for an AWESOME week. What a blessing. It was perfect for us- Mom,Dad, 3 teenage/young adult daughters(I'm the oldest daughter), a friend and two boyfriends. The guys slept in the guest house which was simple but perfect. The home is stunning and super unique and the water is unbelievalbe-we kept joking that we were in Hawaii. I HIGHLY recommend staying here, you won"t regret it. It has all the little extras that you're looking for and it's extremely private. Thanks again- I have tears remembering the vaction.

This is a wonderful home! It is located on Lime Lake and surrounded by woods. The exterior is charming with a wrap-around deck decorated with lovely flower boxes. The owners have integrated some landscaping just around the house, complimenting it perfectly. There is a small sand beach (with lawn chairs and a hammock), which is ideal for young children. Also, we have used the row boat many times. The house interior is spacious and filled with high quality furnishings, artwork, and decor. Sliding glass doors form the walls virtually around the entire house, bringing in abundant light and the feeling you are immersed in nature. Additionally, we want for nothing during our stay -- the kitchen is completely furnished and there is an ample supply of lush bath towels and linens. The master bedroom is luxurious, as well as the two bathrooms. This home has been a great place for our family to get together.
