We were looking for a Mexican town with swimmable waters, good food, and accomodations that were both quiet/peaceful and authentica. Our stay in Rincon and particularly with Glen and Debra at their beautiful traditional casa del mar (Pelicanos) was all that we had imagined. Thank you for the welcome and ongoing camraderie, the perfect hospitality, sumptious breakfasts and knowledgeable leads on ways to enjoy the area...we left feeling that we had really relaxed, felt like we had seen and enjoyed Mexico and that we will return soon. Glen and Debra...your dream of having such a place is our treat...thanks for sharing your "rincon" of heaven/Guayabitos...Anne and Jim

Just finished another great stay at the beautiful Casa de Los Pelicanos B&B in Rincon de Guayibitos. Once again owners Glen and Debbie have proven why their Mexican paradise continues to be so highly rated against the distant competition. The superb breakfasts and the quality of the rooms will cause us to consider no other when visiting this quaint coastal town. Guarantees are few in Mexico but this definetly one of them. A more graceful stay we couldn't have had.

Even two months after returning home, I am still thinking about our wonderful stay at Casa de los Pelicanos. Friends who have stayed with Debra and Glen numerous times asked us to join them in Rincon......and we're so glad they did. Debra and Glen have created a warm and inviting B&B with much attention paid to the delicious food prepared from local ingredients, and the beautifully hancrafted furnishings of the Casa. Both were wonderful hosts, and always made time to answer our questions and offer information. I was very impressed with the involvement that both Glen and Debra have in their community. They are a great example of the give and take that creates a community, and give freely of their talents and expertise. Knowing this made my stay even more enjoyable. The village itself has the flavor of old Mexico, which was refreshing after experiencing the growth of Sayulita over the years. We watched local fishermen pull their catches onto the beach every morning, and enjoyed fresh seafood lunches and dinners on the beach as often as possible. We will definitely be visiting this place again.

My husband and I spent 10 days with Debra and Glen at their beautiful traditional Mexican home. Every day was a treat Each day was a different Mexican style breakfast that was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the company of the other guests staying at the same time as us. Debra and Glenn went out of their to introduce us to the town and the people. We had an opportunity to go to some terrific restaurants, an unexpected visit to a tortilla factory and an opportunity to order some custom clothing. I was very interested in learning about the fund raising efforts they are involved in a how they and others are making a contribution to the community. The property was very clean and we felt very welcome to use all areas available to guests. We have spoken enthusiastically of our trip since our return and of course it was our accommodation that made our trip so wonderful. Debra and Glenn also have a lovely new addition to their household and her name is Gracie, and she is a Mexican beach dog.

We enjoyed two weeks at a resort in Nuevo Vallarta playing golf, then headed north 50 minutes for our third visit with Glen and Deb. It just gets better every time. Everyone raves about Sayulita, but once you've been to Rincon de Guyabitos you'll have a new favorite beach village. Casa de los Pelicanos is a wonderful getaway. We've been there as a couple and a foursome. The guys kayak and fish, the girls hit the local weekly market for handmade crafts, textiles and custom clothing. Or we get up and do nothing but lay on that soft sandy beach and watch the boats cruising around the island. We went whale watching--an hour and a half for only $30, and were right next to two beautiful humpbacks. Awe-inspiring! Loved taking a glass of wine to the beach at sunset and comparing the day's adventures. Perfect courtyard to spend a lazy day with a book, or bike to the main street to buy fresh fruit, fish tacos, beachwear and silver jewelry. Deb's delectable breakfasts--a different menu each day for all 7 days--were so generous we usually skipped lunch. You may even be lucky enough to take one of her cooking classes which are booked by the US and Canadian snowbirds who call Rincon de G. their winter home. We learned to make fresh Shrimp Chile Rellenos, authentic Mexican rice and a heavenly layered creamy Lime pie to make after you've had flan 4 nights in a row! We treasure our memories during our long rainy Portland winter....you'll meet Glen and Deb as guests but leave as friends.

Outstanding! Casa de Los Pelicanos is a gem that lives up to it's description. We spent a short 10 days that passed way too quickly. Glen and Debra are the consumate hosts. The perfect balance of interaction and privacy. Debra's wonderful breakfasts and their knowledge of the area and available activities made our stay most enjoyable. Fishing, whale watching, local markets, beaches, tours, and great restaurants. A can't miss combination.
