Fantastic visit. Glen and Debra are the perfect hosts. From the guided tour to the final farewell. Fantastic breakfasts and excellent pool. A very relaxing place to spend vacation. Only steps to the beach and walking distance to everything. But quiet and secluded. We left very relaxed and refreshed. Impromptu music show one evening was a bunch of fun. Highly Recommended place to stay in Rincon de Guayabitos. Oh and way cool household dog.

My husband and I had never been to Rincon de Guayabitos so we were a little anxious about what we would do there for 10 days. Our hosts, Glen and Deb, made our fears evaporate with opportunities for cooking classes, introductions to the community, breakfasts to die for, and personal touches that we would never have expected. It was wonderful, and we would recommend this B & B to anyone!

We stayed for a week. Deb's breakfasts were wonderful, especially her homemade hot sauce! Accommodations were perfect. We traveled with two other couples - it was great to all stay at the same B & B. The pool was great and the beach just a short walk away. Grace the B & B dog was excellent company! Glen & Deb are the perfect hosts with recommendations for dinner or things to do. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this B & B!

The moment we walked through the front gate, we knew we had come to the right place. Our first impression was that this place had everything we could ask for and more. Then we met our hosts and realized that the beautiful home was only the beginning of what this place has to offer. Deb and Glen took hospitality to a level we didn't think was even possible. The rooms were outstanding, and the outdoor living area gave us space to relax throughout the day. With the beach only a few steps away, we had the best of both worlds throughout our stay. When you stay here, it's impossible to feel like a stranger. The instant you arrive, you're treated as a friend. The only thing we didn't like was leaving at the end of our trip. We can't wait to return.

Just finished another great stay at the beautiful Casa de Los Pelicanos B&B in Rincon de Guayibitos. Once again owners Glen and Debbie have proven why their Mexican paradise continues to be so highly rated against the distant competition. The superb breakfasts and the quality of the rooms will cause us to consider no other when visiting this quaint coastal town. Guarantees are few in Mexico but this definetly one of them. A more graceful stay we couldn't have had.

We had our second stay with Glen and Debra and off course Gracie this January 2012. We now know we will have to make this a yearly visit. We doubled the length of our stay this time and it still felt as if the time flew by. We tried out the Alberca room this year which has a king size bed, sitting area and a private entrance off the pool. We enjoyed this room especially having the sitting area and the king sized bed. I think we would have been content with any off the rooms, as it is the hospitality provided by Debra and Glen that makes Casa De Los Pelicanos so special. We had a wonderful breakfast each morning of fresh orange juice, watermelon, pineapple, and papaya. To accompany the fresh fruit we had either a traditional Mexican breakfast or hotcakes and bacon. Debra is a wonderful cook, so every meal was delicious. Gracie has now settled into the household and clearly seems to be enjoying her life as a very cared for pet rather then her previous life as a beach dog. She is a lovely addition to the family. Glen and Debra were very helpful in providing us with information on how we could best plan out day trips and steered us in the direction of San Poncho, where we had a wonderful day. They also suggested where we could eat and the how we could best use our time for shopping while we were there. Debra very kindly assisted me in arrangements for a second trip when the store I was most interested in was closed the first day I went to San Poncho. Glen consistently assisted us with arrangements for cabs whether we were going a short way or a long way. Debra assisted us with getting an understanding of what a fair price would be for artisan goods at the markets. Both Glen and Debra provided us with the most up to date information on the restaurants in the area that were serving tasty and interesting food, so we had some excellent culinary experiences while we were there, and we kept our finances in check at the same time. Both Debra and Glen continue to be very committed to the community, and it is very interesting to hear what is going on and what the upcoming plans are. The challenges are significant, but there are many positive community events taking place all the time. We will definitely return next year.

My husband and I spent 10 days with Debra and Glen at their beautiful traditional Mexican home. Every day was a treat Each day was a different Mexican style breakfast that was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the company of the other guests staying at the same time as us. Debra and Glenn went out of their to introduce us to the town and the people. We had an opportunity to go to some terrific restaurants, an unexpected visit to a tortilla factory and an opportunity to order some custom clothing. I was very interested in learning about the fund raising efforts they are involved in a how they and others are making a contribution to the community. The property was very clean and we felt very welcome to use all areas available to guests. We have spoken enthusiastically of our trip since our return and of course it was our accommodation that made our trip so wonderful. Debra and Glenn also have a lovely new addition to their household and her name is Gracie, and she is a Mexican beach dog.

Outstanding! Casa de Los Pelicanos is a gem that lives up to it's description. We spent a short 10 days that passed way too quickly. Glen and Debra are the consumate hosts. The perfect balance of interaction and privacy. Debra's wonderful breakfasts and their knowledge of the area and available activities made our stay most enjoyable. Fishing, whale watching, local markets, beaches, tours, and great restaurants. A can't miss combination.

We enjoyed two weeks at a resort in Nuevo Vallarta playing golf, then headed north 50 minutes for our third visit with Glen and Deb. It just gets better every time. Everyone raves about Sayulita, but once you've been to Rincon de Guyabitos you'll have a new favorite beach village. Casa de los Pelicanos is a wonderful getaway. We've been there as a couple and a foursome. The guys kayak and fish, the girls hit the local weekly market for handmade crafts, textiles and custom clothing. Or we get up and do nothing but lay on that soft sandy beach and watch the boats cruising around the island. We went whale watching--an hour and a half for only $30, and were right next to two beautiful humpbacks. Awe-inspiring! Loved taking a glass of wine to the beach at sunset and comparing the day's adventures. Perfect courtyard to spend a lazy day with a book, or bike to the main street to buy fresh fruit, fish tacos, beachwear and silver jewelry. Deb's delectable breakfasts--a different menu each day for all 7 days--were so generous we usually skipped lunch. You may even be lucky enough to take one of her cooking classes which are booked by the US and Canadian snowbirds who call Rincon de G. their winter home. We learned to make fresh Shrimp Chile Rellenos, authentic Mexican rice and a heavenly layered creamy Lime pie to make after you've had flan 4 nights in a row! We treasure our memories during our long rainy Portland winter....you'll meet Glen and Deb as guests but leave as friends.

Even two months after returning home, I am still thinking about our wonderful stay at Casa de los Pelicanos. Friends who have stayed with Debra and Glen numerous times asked us to join them in Rincon......and we're so glad they did. Debra and Glen have created a warm and inviting B&B with much attention paid to the delicious food prepared from local ingredients, and the beautifully hancrafted furnishings of the Casa. Both were wonderful hosts, and always made time to answer our questions and offer information. I was very impressed with the involvement that both Glen and Debra have in their community. They are a great example of the give and take that creates a community, and give freely of their talents and expertise. Knowing this made my stay even more enjoyable. The village itself has the flavor of old Mexico, which was refreshing after experiencing the growth of Sayulita over the years. We watched local fishermen pull their catches onto the beach every morning, and enjoyed fresh seafood lunches and dinners on the beach as often as possible. We will definitely be visiting this place again.

My wife and I enjoyed a 3 week tour up the coast of Nayarit, MX. We stayed at several different places along the way. Our stay at Casa Pelicanos with Debra and Glen was one of our favorite stops. The property was gorgeous, the breakfasts were amazing, and the hospitality was second to none. We were only with Debra and Glen 3 nights but shortly after we arrived, we felt like family. The beach is awesome and very swim safe for all ages. We will be back. Thanks so much for everything. Jess and Larse

We have recently returned from a lovely vacation at the Casa De Pelicanos. Glen and Deborah are delightful hosts- we felt very welcomed and cared for. The Casa is well cared for also- beautifully decorated and maintained. Glen and Deborah are great resources for local restaurants. Breakfast at the Casa was wonderfully varied- we enjoyed the fresh fruits and fresh orange juice, as well as crepes and Mexican specialities. The beautiful beach is only a few steps away and the water is warm and welcoming. We look forward to a return visit!

We read all the wonderful comments left by prior guests before visiting Casa De Los Pelicanos, but nothing anyone said compares to the wonderful experience we actually had there ourselve. You just have to be there to appreciate it. Was it the gorgeous accommodations? Was it the beautiful beach nearby or was it the magnificent morning breakfasts shared with other guests? Or perhaps it was the mastery of Glenn & Deb's hosting skills that made our stay a joy. All of these things make Casa De Los Pelicanos well worth the short drive from Puerto Vallarta. Deb and Glen not only showed us a wonderful time, but they are just the most wonderfully warm people you will ever be around. We will definitely return again and again.

It felt like going home. A second stay with Debra and Glen proved equally charmed and relaxing in their beautiful casa by the sea. In addition to really tasty breakfasts, this year we also enjoyed a scrumptious dinner arranged by Debra that was prepared by a local Mujure and accompanied by Glen's mighty Margarita's. Glen also was extremely helpful in securing a refund from a local Whale Watching Tour group when rough waters forced a cancellation. Would highly recommend these generous and knowledgeable hosts and their lovely property for your adventure to this gem of a getaway.

Just returned from 10 fantastic nights and relaxing sun filled days at Casa De Los Pelicanos. We rented all 3 rooms for a family and friends holiday stay over Christmas and New Years. I could not have been more pleased. We arrived on Christmas Eve to fresh tamales and accompaniments for dinner and got a taste of the wonderful Mexican style breakfasts that would await us each morning, skillfully prepared by Debra with the freshest local ingredients. The location is perfect, down a quiet residential street, steps from the beautiful beach, but the private pool is also feet away from your bedroom door if you need a dip to cool you off. We all spent a lot of time in the “lookout” cabana above the front entrance, which had a great view of the ocean and was a perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee (the local coffee is incredible) or fresh squeezed orange juice made each day by Glen or a quiet afternoon read with a beer. Or just to watch the neighborhood activities and wait for the dessert or tamale truck to come by for a snack. When we arrived Glen and Debra said the only rule was for us to make ourselves at home. We did a good job following that rule and made fresh guacamole and ceviche in the afternoons in the fully appointed outdoor kitchen or stayed up playing games and watching the sunset. Most of all Glen and Debra were so attentive and helpful when it came to our needs and give great activity, restaurant and shopping recommendations. Even going so far as to give us tours and telling us where to get the best deals or try the local delicacies. We made a lot of memories on this trip and felt so at home in both the nearby towns and of course at the casa. If you are looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay in a very Mexican town that has not yet been spoiled by tourism this is the place for you.

This review is LONG overdue, but I just wanted to thank Glen and Debra for a fantastic stay at their home. We came across this beautiful bed & breakfast late one night and I am SO glad that we did!! The house was amazing, the location is great, and you could not ask for better hosts! Glen and Debra truly make you feel like you are a guest in their home and they could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. We have been looking at property ourselves and Glen even took the time one afternoon to show us around the town to look at lots and houses. Thank you again for a fantastic stay and going above and beyond what we could have ever expected! I cannot recommend the Casa de los Pelicanos enough!

Glen and Debra are very hospitable and friendly. We enjoyed visiting with them in the morning at their outdoor eating area, drinking our coffee, while Debra prepared her delicious breakfasts and Glen squeezed fresh orange juice. Since Glen gave us a tour of the area, it was easy to find our way along the streets or the beach to Guaybitos and La Penita for shopping and eating. It was fun to meet other guests at the B&B, but it would be a perfect location for a group of friends or family. We're looking forward to a return visit to Glen and Debra's.

Our holiday with Glen & Debra at Casa De Los Pelicanos left us with that warm fuzzy feeling inside that we had a “Home away from Home” with friends that are “like family”. It just doesn’t get better than this! With Debra’s amazing breakfasts and Glen’s grand introduction tour of shops and sights, you will settle into the surroundings quicker than any other place you have visited. The sunsets were spectacular on as lovely a beach as you will find anywhere. There is always as much to do (or not do) as suits you. We can’t wait to get back for a second helping of “the perfect holiday”! Thank you Glen & Debra, for everything! Alex & Geri, North Saanich (Victoria) B.C.

Glen & Debra have that special knack to run a Bed & Breakfast -- attentive but not intrusive. My sisters and I visited the area for the first time to see our father and his wife where they've chosen to spend the winter for many years. Casa de los Pelicanos felt like a home of good friends extending their hospitality to our family. The location was perfect with the quieter part of the beautiful sandy beach close to the gate. The breakfasts were fresh, delicious and satisfying. Every amenity we desired was close at hand. Thank you for making our stay so comfortable and memorable.

They made fine recommendations regarding restaurants etc, and Glen took us on a tour of the whole area. The breakfasts ranged fom wonderful peach juice, yogurt and granola to traditional Mexican dishes. The sun shone every day in paradise and the beautiful beach was a few steps away. Our room was tastefully decorated in a jungle theme. We were able to watch the news on CNN and enjoyed comfort and charming service at every turn. STAY HERE - YOU WILL LOVE IT! All of the great comments you've been reading about Glen and Debra and their beautiful Casa de Los Pelicanos are true. My husband and I found them two years ago, completely at random on the internet, and have returned 6 times since then with as many friends and family as we could muster. Everyone loves it and it's become our home away from home. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Ever. So, here's a good tip: don't miss breakfast! Glen's specialty is fresh squeezed orange juice and Debra prepares a stunning array of dishes that reflect everything from a Mexican twist to a traditional Mexican breakfast. All are wonderful and more than you can eat. Couple that with a beautiful home, a lovely table and great music and you are on your way for the day. Almost everything Guayabitos and La Penita have to offer are within walking distance, with the beautiful beach practically at the door, and Glen will help you make arrangements for anything you want to see or do for miles and miles around. It is a wonderful place to stay, and my husband and I, our family and friends recommend it with complete confidence. Please give them a call and make your reservations. My wife, three daughters, son-in-law and a boyfriend stayed at the B&B over this past week. Every winter we go to a different warm place (Minnesota winters can get long). We have never gone back to the same place twice; too many places we want to see. We had a family vote on the last night and we are making an exception. We will return to the B&B. There are many reasons for this, including the private pool, private bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, a week of breadfasts second to none, the ocean is just steps away, the view of the ocean from the lookout tower is wonderful, the B&B is super clean, the privacy of the B&B, the cost of food in the town is extremely cheap, and, equally important to all of the above is the hospitality of Glen and Debra. They went out of their way to be sure our stay was peaceful, safe and fun. After just one week they felt like family. If you are thinking about staying at this B&B, feel free to email me. I can give you some ideas and answer any questions you have, from things to do to transportation. I can tell you one thing for sure. . .you won't be disappointed. I hope to hear from you.

This has got to be the best B&B in the entire area. The accomodations are lovely and comfortable. Glen and Deb are fantastic hosts who make worthwhile recommendations and delicious breakfasts. The setting couldn't be more convenient or ideal. We highly recommend this location to all travelers.

Glen and Debra have a wonderful Bed & Breakfast. Very clean. Very well located. You will not find a nicer Host and Hostess anywhere. Very beautiful place. Very reasonably priced. Oh, bring peso's. Credit cards are useless in Guayabitos. Cashola baby!!!

We had the loveliest stay at Debra and Glen's beautiful home. We were treated like family and felt at home. The house is very beautiful and the ambience is very peaceful and inviting. Glen shared great knowledge of nearby beaches that are very little known and after Christmas this is a big plus! We cannot wait to return.

We have travelled Mexico extensively over the past several decades and our fondest memory is of our stay at la Casa de los Pelicanos with Debra and Glen. It is private, personal, and like being part of the family- like being in your own home - and breakfast is great. They can tell you all of the secret spote for fun and food. I loved it.

We have stayed in many places in Mexico, and our stay with Glen and Debra was one of our most enjoyable. Our hosts were more like family and the lack of formality provided us with a relaxing week of comforts and excellent breakfasts. Our returns to Guayabitos will, hopefully, be at La Casa de los Pelicanos.

The Casa De Los Pelicanos is a beautifully appointed oasis surrounded by the charm of "Old Mexico." The casa is cleverly designed and beautiful in appearance. Glen & Debbie are the perfect hosts and have the best food in town. Located in a quiet neighborhood just a few steps from the beach, you will find restaurants and shopping are within easy walking distance. Taxis are inexpensive and locals are exceedingly friendly. You can become so comfortable here that you may not want to leave. Highly recommended!

With Debra and Glen we felt like honored guests and family at the same times. The house is beautifully appointed and comfortable. Breakfast was awesome and a great way to start the day. Glen is a fun tour guide and we went to many of the favorite restaurants. We plan on coming back to this wonderful beach setting w/ friends to explore more, for serious relaxing and more whale wathing. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Debra and Glen!

Our stay in Rincon de Guayabitos was wonderful in huge measure to our stay at Casa de Pelicanos. Debra and Glenn were delightful and thoughtful hosts and gave us a sense of the area and specific places to visit and eat. The Breakfasts at Casa de Pelicanos were fresh and aabsolutely delicious each morning of our six day stay. Debra is a great cook. The place itself is beautiful with lots of individual spots to enjoy for reading or enjoying the view. We highly reccommed this place for the perfect vacation.

Our wonderful host and hostess, Glen and Debra, provided us with a fabulous overview of the area of Rincon de Guayabitas, and with next door (La Pinetas) friends as well, we did a lot in two days. The casa is very relaxing with lots of private spaces to go read, sun or nap if you want to, and with the central meeting area by the pool, you can make new friends, catch some rays and visit with Glen and Debra all at the same time. Wonderful people, area and weather. I am thrilled to have been able to come here. Viva la Mexico! Sally S.
