Why the Owner Chose Mount Pleasant
My family has lived in Charleston for many generations. The saying is that once you come to Charleston you will always come back. It was true in my case- The pull to Charleston and the beaches brought me back home to Charleston. I selected this townhouse to buy because of its location in the Old Village area of Mt. Pleasant where we still have an authentic old soda fountain at the Pitt St. Pharmacy. (very popular with locals for lunch). The townhouse is also within walking distance to the Old Bridge where you can fish, shrimp, crab or just relax.
When combined with the fact that the best beach in the Charleston area is only 2 miles away (Sullivan's Island) and downtown Charleston is only 7 miles away, you realize this is an ideal location.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
I live within 2 miles of the townhouse, so we are available if you need any questions answered or have any problems. Once we had someone lose her key to the townhouse within two hours of her daughter's wedding! Luckily, I was able to meet her with a new key almost immediately.
Cross the Ravenel Bridge into Charleston. As you will note, a favorite exercise is to "Walk the Bridge".
Turn right to get to the Pit St. Pharmacy's soda fountain, or turn left to walk to the Old Bridge Park.

Hi, I am Lynn and this is my son, Ryan. I am an accountant at a large church in Mt. Pleasant, and Ryan is a junior in college. We and our two dogs love to walk on the beach and take photographs of the beautiful beach scenes and the incredible sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean. We consider ourselves so blessed to live in such a wonderful area.

Great place and location to stay in the Charleston Area

Lynn's townhouse was a very nice place to stay for 3 months this past winter (after staying there in her townhouse for a shorter time the previous winter and liking it and the area so much that we returned for longer this winter.) It has all the nice things to offer mentioned in the description and other reviews and is very clean, welcoming, and well equipped. Also, Lynn lives nearby and is very responsive to any questions or concerns. Its also in a GREAT location to get to all that the Charleston area has to offer and yet its in a residential neighborhood away from all the city bustle, but with a great grocery store and other stores and restaurants nearby and lots of other things to walk to also. We especially liked walking along the nearby pier park and seeing all the shorebirds in the marsh on one side of the pier and the Charleston harbor on the other with the skyline of the "Holy City" with it church spires across it and the lovely Ravenal Bridge coming from Charleston across the harbor to Mt. Pleasant. Then there's the intracoastal waterway at the end of the pier with Sullivan's Island just across it and boats coming and going in the harbor and waterway. The sunsets were amazing there! Another amazing place for sunset watching is just across the intracoastal waterway to Sullivan's Island just 2 miles or so away. There is an ocean beach by the historic Fort Moultrie there-station 22- where we saw dolphin playing most evenings and the view is fantastic of the harbor, Fort Sumpter, lighthouses, and the bridge and Charleston skyline. Then there is Shem Creek nearby there in Mt. Pleasant also with lots of good restaurants where you can watch the sunsets, shrimp boats, etc. from. We really love the historic and lovely Charleston area and feel that Mt. Pleasant is the best place to stay to see it all from and Lynn's townhouse is a nice place to make your "home base" there. We experienced true "southern hospitality" there from Lynn and her Mom and so many other people! We also enjoyed lots of good food in all the wonderful restaurants all over the area. Our favorite was "The Mustard Seed" restaurant there in Mt. Pleasant, but there are lots of others we liked too. We're definitely likely to return to the area again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are very thankful for your kindness. Our family will definitely stay here again when in Charleston or the surrounding area. We especially liked the location and comfort due to your thoughtfulness in providing items beyond the necessities - plenty of towels and linens, a separate room with a TV for the kids to enjoy and last, but not least, the chocolates and popcorn made my day@

The townhome was in a nice and quiet community. The townhome was very clean and had everything we needed (towels, kitchen supplies, washer and dryer, etc.) We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. Close to beaches, Patroits Point and historic downtown. It was the perfect location for our family.

Super conventient stay very, very close to Sullivan's Island and Charleston. Spotless with extremly comfortable amnities.Shopping and eateries nearby. Quiet, homelike setting with great areas to walk.We felt much more like "locals" than a tourists..A beautiful community of Charleston. The owner was excellent in the description of the property, prompt in response to any questions we had regarding our visit. She was very generous in making it a very special memory for us. You will not be disappointed. I only wish our stay could have been longer than 4 nights.

Just returned from spending a week in this townhome. Great location, easy access to all sights. Good size bedrooms with AC and ceiling fans. I would recommend this rental. Only issue: there are no electrical outlets in bathrooms.
Owner response:Suggestions from our guests allow us to improve the townhouse experience and we appreciate all comments. An electrical outlet in the bathroom was a good idea, therefore we had a GFI outlet installed in early October, 2008 Lynn

The description the owner gave was exactly what we got when we arrived to our vacation spot. The pictures clearly portrayed the house exactly as it was. The home was easy to find and near to great resaturants, shopping, and just across the bridge to Charelston. The property was very clean and in perfect working order. Owner provided all needed items (laundry detergent, toliet paper, clean linens, etc.). The owner had even put out a very special gift that made my family and I feel very welcome! I would definatly reccomend this property to a friend. My favorite restaurant was Poogan's Porch (in Charleston) it had great history and wonderful food! I also had the pleasure of going on a very nice carriage ride through the city!

The townhome was clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. My wife and I had to find a last minute place to stay with our newborn and Lynn was very accomodating. We didn't get out to see much but this place is close to everything including downtown Charleston.
