Mountainwood @ Peak 9 Base-Park that Car! Walk to Lift & Town
Why the Owner Chose Mountainwood
Where else can you wake in the morning; look out the window to see what it is doing on the mountain; grab the skis and head to the slopes; or opt for a stroll in town, a hike, a game of golf, or just a pleasant lunch or evening with family or friends in one of the many restaurants in town. Enjoy life! Enjoy your visit to our family's favorite town in all of the USA!
The Peak 9 Base Area provides access to the mountain via the Quicksilver high speed 6 pax lift. Located there are the Maggie Pond Lodge, Ski School, Ski Rentals and Nursery for small children
The Peak 9 Base area adjacent to the Quicksilver Lift includes the Maggie Ski Lodge, adult and children's ski schools, ski rental shops, a children's nursery that caters to skier families. etc.
Main Street Station, located across the street from the condo, is the southern anchor of the town's Historic Main Street. Main Street Station contains popular restaurants, a ski shop, spa and several of the quaint shops that proliferate Main Street. Continue walking north across Park Street to explore Historic Main Street.
Our favorite Mexican restaurant, located on Park Ave, walking distance from the condo, thru Main Street Station. Rated best margaritas in the "2011 Best of the Summit" locals and visitors survey. Try their Mango Duck Quesadilla for a pleasant surprise.
Breckenridge Brewery is located on Main Street, walking distance of the condo. Their locally brewed Avalanche Beer is a perennial local favorite. We like their fish & chips and buffalo burgers.
Owner's Map of Mountainwood
Our family has been skiing Breckenridge for three generations. We first visited in 1973 when there were only two paved streets - Main Street and Ski Hill Road. There were no stoplights in Summit County and Peak 9 had just opened so you could ski directly to town. We have watched the ski area, town and county grow as our family has grown. Yes, it has changed, but so have we, and the excitement of arriving in the mountains, a new snow fall, or a bright, crisp summer day are just as invigorating as the first day we set foot in town. We are pleased to share our mountain home with you when we cannot be there.

This was one ot the most enjoyable trips that I have ever taken. The condo was everything it was represented to be. Clean and stocked with anything you could possibly need. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone visiting Breckenridge. We walked to Main Street, the Maggie ski lift and several wonderful restaurants. We will be back!!!

My family stayed in the property in January 2011 and had a great experience. Not only were the accomodations exceptional but the owner was always accessible. The unit was very clean, roomy and well furnished. The kitchen provided good space for cooking and we found all the appliances & dishes in good order and cooking utensils in abundance. As far as the location, we enjoyed the close proximity to the Chairlift as well as Main Street. On several occasions we ate out and walked Main Street without having to take our vehicle. The communication with the owner and the condition of the condo exceeded our exepctations and we look forward to returning.

Our group of two couples stayed in the condo between Christmas and New Years of 2010-2011. The condo was great. Within about 100 yards of the Quicksilver lift and main street of Breckenridge. Wonderfully convenient location - close to plenty of places to eat and shop, as well as the grocery store. The condo has everything you need to have an enjoyable and relaxing vacation. While the 2nd bedroom was just a bit small, there was plenty of room for us - since we just wanted a place to eat, sleep and shower. Living area was nice and roomy. We could have easily fit another couple in the condo. Next time we come to Breckenridge we will return! The price for our stay compared to other options we saw was definitely the best. Value for the money could not be beat in our opinion. We found a lot of value and quality by using local ski/boot rental shops vs other options, and feel that by using the shuttle service to/from the Denver Airport we were much better off than renting a vehicle. Once the shuttle dropped us off, everything was just a short walk away, as advertised.

I would recommend this condo to anyone who is looking for a place across from Peak Nine Base QuickSilver Super 6 lift. The unit is very well equipped with a ski locker across the hall. The heated tile floor in th bathroom was a nice bonus. Underground parking was a plus. Easy walk to the lift, The Maggie, The Coffee Depot if your into a morning espresso, and into town for dinner or shopping. Todd was easy to work with and no surprises.

The condo was beautiful and accommodated our large family just fine. We loved the gas grill and the wonderful heavy blankets. This place makes vacationing with five kids easy! (Didn't that was possible) All kids were able to walk to and from the ski hill for lunch. That really saved us a lot of money. Take advantage of the wonderful pool and hot tub facilities. You will be so happy you chose to rent this condo!! We were!

We had a wonderful time in Breckenridge. The condo was fantastic. It was just like home. It was very convenient to the slopes and town. The owners made the "check in" process so simple. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for sharing your condo with us....

This is the second time we've rented from Todd, the first in his Mountainwood unit. He's done a great job of updating it: new kitchen with granite counters, flatscreen TV, new furniture, flagstone in the master bath, and most of all the heated master bath floor. So warm and toasty on a cold morning! The unit is such a convenient walk to the Quicksilver lift and the Maggie. We'll definitely return.
