Location: Ualapue, Molokai, Hawaii, USA (13 miles East of the Town of Kaunakakai on Ocean Facing Maui)

Accommodations:  Condominium, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-4)

This one bedroom ocean view condo is located on the east end of Molokai - ground floor of the beautiful Wavecrest resort on the lush east end of Molokai secluded and removed from the busy life you left at home! Walk out from your lanai and wriggle your toes in the soft green grass. Breath in the warm flower scented fresh air! This lovely unit is fully equipped for your needs.

Take a big sigh of relief and enjoy the seclusion and quiet on Island of Molokai. From your lanai, you will enjoy a refreshing ocean breeze and take in the sweet fragrance from the many beautiful plumeria trees that surround the beautifully landscaped grounds.

The Wavecrest Resort includes pool, tennis courts, waters-edge cabana, BBQs, lots of parking, car wash area, and much much more.
From the moment you enter the resort you will be surrounded by lush tropical landscaping and the fragrant aroma of tropical flowers, ocean views, palms swaying gently, lush green mountainsides sweeping down to the beach! To the north of the resort are the slopes of the gorgeous mountains of East Molokai with their sharply-cut valleys and cloud-covered summits.

About ten miles farther up the road is the majestic Halawa Valley, while the charming main town of Kaunakakai, is an easy, shoreline drive 13 miles to the west. Kaunakakai includes retail shops, restaurants, banks, post office, library, supermarkets, car rentals, an internet café and almost anything else a traveler or resident could want. Molokai, with its population of approximately 8000 is the last vestige of an older, slower Hawai(no stop lights on the island!). A true Pacific paradise.

Take the ferry from Lahaina in West Maui (really fun!!) or fly into the airport. You can rent cars, we can provide you some contacts if needed.

If you really want to experience the old Hawaii with no crowds, shopping malls or buses, Molokai is the place for you.

There are many activities to partake in, such as: snorkeling at nearby Murphys Beach, scuba diving off of Hawaii's only barrier reef, kayaking through miles of clear blue waters, hiking through the steepest sea cliffs in the world, playing golf, mountain biking, deep sea fishing or just exploring the many unspoiled beaches on Molokai. Did we mention, there are no traffic lights on Molokai, not one. Three cars going in the same direction defines gridlock on Molokai. Come visit "Old Hawaii" while it lasts!

Owner's Profile

Owner Description

We live in California part time and also part time here on Molokai. Since retirement, we come here more than 6 months out of the year and we live on the island in another condo. We are hands on condo owners and are always trying to make our unit more enjoyable. So if a guest makes a suggestion to add something, we try and accommodate their wishes.

Why the Owner Chose Ualapue

We love the islands and although we do visit the other ones too, Molokai is truly unique and does not have all the major shopping malls, highrises, or fancy party places that make it very busy and congested. Molokai has no stop lights on the island and no malls. It's truly Hawaii in days of old.

The Unique Benefits of this Condominium

The Mule Ride to Kualapapa is awesome and something we encourage all guests to try and do. We also recommend the hiking and snorkeling. But best of all, just a relaxing day down at the pool with a good book, nice drinks, and your binoculars to see the whales jump (within season)is one of my best things to do.

    • We loved the Wavecrest resort and especially liked the fact we did not have to stare at the water only (like the "A" building. the ground floor unit of the "C" building was perfect because all we had to do was walk right out to the pool and cabana and sit there on the lanai and listen to the birds and palm trees swaying. Lovely!!!

    • Wonderful! Had a great time - lots of beautiful scenery. Played tennis, swam, and laid by the pool. Had the best vacation I have had in years. Loved Wavecrest and this condo was fully equipped.

    • My husband and I went to Molokai on our honeymoon and were happy to have found this end of the island and this lovely condo at Wavecrest. We travelled in Nov. 07 and stayed a week - lots of fun and sun! Wonderful view and we made many happy memories. Thanks!

    • We had a wonderful time and a much needed rest from our NYC rushed lives in your beautiful condo at Wavecrest. Thank you so much for making it available as a vacation getaway -- it was everything we expected and more. We enjoyed the condo, the pool and the facilities -- everything was great! Juan especially enjoyed the back area where he was able to go fishing everyday. He finally caught a fish on Friday and we cooked it right there on the grill for dinner! We look forward to visiting again. Aloha and mahalo. Yadira & Juan Brooklyn, NY

I travelled to Molokai with my parents and stayed at their condo at Wavecrest in February 05. My husband and son were with me and we loved the beach access and pool area the best. We had a BBQ most every nite right there at the cabana. We enjoyed the kayaking and also the tennis courts. We were sorry to leave the peaceful Wavecrest Resort.
