This is a one bedroom, one bath condo located on the east end of Molokai - ground floor of the beautiful Wavecrest resort. Molokai is secluded and removed from the busy life you left at home!
Walk out from your lanai and wriggle your toes in the soft green grass. Breath in the flower scented fresh air! This lovely unit is fully equipped for your needs.
Take a big sigh of relief and enjoy the seclusion and quiet on Island of Molokai. From your lanai, you will enjoy a refreshing ocean breeze and take in the sweet fragrance from the many beautiful plumeria trees that surround the beautifully landscaped grounds.
The Wavecrest Resort includes pool, tennis courts, waters-edge cabana, BBQs, lots of parking, car wash area, and much much more.
From the moment you enter the resort you will be surrounded by lush tropical landscaping and the fragrant aroma of tropical flowers, ocean views, palms swaying gently, lush green mountainsides sweeping down to the beach! To the north of the resort are the slopes of the gorgeous mountains of East Molokai with their sharply-cut valleys and cloud-covered summits.
About ten miles farther up the road is the majestic Halawa Valley, while the charming main town of Kaunakakai, is an easy, shoreline drive 13 miles to the west. Kaunakakai includes retail shops, restaurants, banks, post office, library, supermarkets, car rentals, an internet café and almost anything else a traveler or resident could want. Molokai, with its population of approximately 8000 is the last vestige of an older, slower Hawai(no stop lights on the island!). A true Pacific paradise.
Take the ferry from Lahaina in West Maui (really fun!!) or fly into the airport. You can rent cars, we can provide you some contacts if needed.
If you really want to experience the old Hawaii with no crowds, shopping malls or buses, Molokai is the place for you.
There are many activities to partake in, such as: snorkeling at nearby Murphys Beach, scuba diving off of Hawaii's only barrier reef, kayaking through miles of clear blue waters, hiking through the steepest sea cliffs in the world, playing golf, mountain biking, deep sea fishing or just exploring the many unspoiled beaches on Molokai. Did we mention, there are no traffic lights on Molokai, not one. Three cars going in the same direction defines gridlock on Molokai. Come visit 'Old Hawaii' while it lasts!

Owners Cathy & Richard were very helpful and friendly. The unit is reasonably appointed and kitchen dishes & utensils are well stocked. Wavecrest is, in our opinion, the nicest place to stay on Molokai; this was our second stay at this resort property and we plan to return. Molokai is relatively unpopulated (compared to the other Hawaiian islands) and rural, no traffic, lots of natural beauty and great, wide-open beaches. If you like authentic Hawaiian music and hula, there's many oppotunities for that in small, intimate settings as members of the local community come together to jam and perform. Overall, this is a wonderful place to slow down, decompress, and really relax.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

This was our second stay at Wavecrest Resort and we really enjoyed our time. The owners were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The property was represented very accurately in the listing and in the photo's. While it is an older unit, it was maintained, and ready for our stay. The ground are well maintained and manicured. We particularly enjoyed the ground level lanai! The social side of this resort was enjoyable as well. The pavilion had very nice and clean grills and the pool was clean and inviting. We made many new friends during our trip. We took full advantage of a variety of opportunities that Molokai had to offer from strolling on vacant beaches, to hiking jungle trails, mule riding, sight seeing, shopping, and deep sea fishing/whale watching. The sun rise and sun sets from this property are breath taking! If this island isn't on your bucket list, it should be! We do not have any reservations in recommending this property and are currently planning our next stay!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We stayed in Cathy's wonderful condo at Wavecrest for a month in early 2013. The condo was so well equipped - everything you could possibly need including the nicest beach chairs we have ever had in a rental. Cathy even provides a cooler for that lunch at the beach or just to bring groceries home from the market. The property was clean and very well maintained and Cathy answered every question we had. The listing and pictures are totally accurate. The condo is in the "C" building which is slightly back from the ocean front but it is a ground floor unit so the lanai opens out onto the wonderful Wavecrest gardens. Imagine having the whole garden area as your front yard. We would highly recommend this unit to friends and relatives. Molokai is a special location - there is not the same "tourist" feel found on the other islands of Hawaii. We will be back again next year. Thanks again Cathy for allowing us to share your piece of paradise.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

The condo is excellent. Very clean and spacious. The environment is very peaceful . Excellent for relaxing and meditating. Even though the ocean at the property is not good for swimming but beautiful sunset.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

The grounds are beautiful, the pool and pool area are great, and the ocean is a few steps away. The unit is older but kept up with a new fridge and dishwasher. The only issue I had was the silly rooster that woke me up each morning - I suppose I just didn't need an alarm clock. Overall, it's a great place to stay and relax on the east end. I love Moloka'i!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We really enjoyed staying at Wavecrest. The condo complex is kept up beautifully. It is located in a quiet part of the Island, but not too far from town. The condo was well equipped and clean. The hosts were on the premises and were very responsive. Overall, a very relaxing, enjoyable experience. If you like Hawaiian music, be sure to check out Hotel Molokai on Friday afternoons, Paddlers Tuesdays, and the Coffee Plantation on Sunday afternoons.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

We have stayed at this condo several times. It's a wonderful unit on a beautiful property. We always enjoy the outside patio for dining every meal. The view of the water from the patio is like being on your own private island. The grounds are very well maintained and privacy to each unit is really appreciated. The kitchen is updated so no worries there,also it's very close to the laundry.Lots of touches in the unit really make it feel like home,love that!! We always recommend this unit to our friends who seek to travel to Moloka'i. Can't wait to get back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

The condo was very nice - great ground floor unit that walks right out to the plumeria scented grounds. Walk right to the pool and water's edge. Loved the cabana and barbeque area. My husband is blind and this unit was excellent for him and me and we had no worries.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I went to Molokai a year after we got married. We took our six year old son with us. We had a great time. We toured the Macadamia nut farm, went to a Luau in Maui, and toured the valcano. Which was really awesome! We have vacationed in this unit for the last few years.It is comfortable,fully equipped& the owners are very accommodating.We enjoy the relaxed atmospere of Wavecrest..the pool,cabana,lush gardens,swaying palm trees and the beautiful sunsets.It is close to beaches,hiking trails,scenic drives ,snorkeling & kayaking.Having coffee on the lanai each morning was indeed the perfect start to another day in paradise on the "Friendly Isle" of Molokai.Did you find this review helpful? We love the islands and although we do visit the other ones too, Molokai is truly unique and does not have all the major shopping malls, highrises, or fancy party places that make it very busy and congested. Molokai has no stop lights on the island and no malls. It's truly Hawaii in days of old.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The Mule Ride to Kualapapa is awesome and something we encourage all guests to try and do. We also recommend the hiking and snorkeling. But best of all, just a relaxing day down at the pool with a good book, nice drinks, and your binoculars to see the whales jump (within season)is one of my best things to do.
