Just steps from the beautiful Missouri River and 10 miles downstream from Craig, the Mountain Palace Lodge provides the best the Missouri River has to offer.Wade fishing is right outside your door on one of the best stretches of the river in the area. Marvel at the craftsmanship of this authentic log home.
Expansive views of the Big Belt Mountains surround the Lodge with Deer, Eagles, Pelicans, Geese and Ducks everywhere. Mountain Palace Lodge was designed for comfort and is well appointed in every aspect.
A spacious and well equiped kitchen provides all the comforts of home. Have breakfast on an awesome log dinning table while watching animals of all descriptions along the river move about.
There are 4 bedrooms, 2 rooms downstairs have queen size beds and 2 rooms upstairs have 2 full size beds in each room. The loft also has a trundle bed that makes into another queen size bed. Relax on the huge porch overlooking the river and mountains that is also equiped with a BBQ.
There are two towns nearby, Craig which is 10 miles upstream and has a great Flyshop and a small store with all the basics including a Starbucks for that morning wake up. And 12 miles downstream is Cascade which has a larger grocery store, gas station, post office, restaurant and a couple of bars.
There are two restaurants in the vicinity, the Missouri Inn is 3 miles downstream on Recreation Rd. and has nice typical Montana meals and a small bar. The Trout Shop Cafe in Craig is a good bet for a delicious meal and they have a great selection of wines along with friendly service.

Year Purchased: 2002
About the owner: I am a Master Watchmaker and my wife and I own and operate our family Jewelery Store that my Parents started in 1962. My parents were born and raised near here and we have slowly migrated back to this area.
Why the Owner Chose Craig:
We chose this area first of all because of the gorgeous scenery in the Canyon section of the upper Missouri River. And secondly because this is undoubtebly the finest fly fishing stream in the world.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
What makes this property very unique is the fact that we are not only right on the banks of the Missouri River but we are also located on one of the best stretches for wade flyfishing with no public access.
