We had a great ten day stay at Arpeggio.Clean, convenient, comfortable. Alexandra was most helpful. Great tea room in Vilvoorde. Chinese Resturant (Phoenix) about five blocks from the Arpeggio was very good. Bus twenty minute ride to Gare du Nord or Ypres in Brussels. From there easy access to the sights of Brussels. Would highly recommend Arpeggio as a place to stay while exploring Brussels or surrounding cities and towns connected by the rail line.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We were very happy with the decor! HIgh ceilings, beautiful doors and 2 fireplaces! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was perfect. We walked to the grocery store and cooked a chateaubriand diner. Our hostess was very helpful in directions. We are 60 years old and the train station was an eas 5 block walk for us old folks. Great town-10 minutes from Brussels.

My husband and I traveled from the US and stayed here for a week. The town of Vilvoorde provided all our shopping and eating needs - all within walking distance as we did not have a car. And it was no trouble walking to the train station to catch a 7-13 minute ride into Brussels. The apartment was very roomy though it had the usual small kitchen. Beds were comfortable, though again small by US standards- a double and a small single. But we loved the ambience of the 100 year old place. Alexandra was very helpful and pleasant. The one drawback for me- not being a city dweller- was the traffic noise as the apartment is located off a pretty busy street. Overall, I would give it 4 out of 5 stars.

The Arpeggio apartment is a treasure! It is very spacious and comfortable, with every necessary amenity, especially in the kitchen. Alexandra has made it feel very much like home away from home. The town of Vilvoorde itself is very nice with some good places to eat or have a coffee, and the supermarket across the street from Arpeggio is the cheapest place in town with the best selection. I definitely would stay here again, as it's easily accessible to Brussels but also to other places (Antwerp, Mechelen, etc.). Plus, Alexandra is a great hostess.

Just back from a week's stay at Arpeggio with the family. The apartment is well furnished with a modern kitchen and there was more than enough space for the five of us. The train is convenient, but the bus across the road is cheaper and takes you into the centre of Brussels - if you are a family you can buy a €10 ticket good for all day travel on the city bus, tram or metro for up to five people travelling together. Alexandra was delightful. Many thanks.

Had a great 2 night stay in the apartment. Very clean and nice. It is up 2 steep flights of stairs so pack light. It is about a 20 Euro cab ride to Brussels, but the train is nearby and runs until about midnight. Did not explore local neighborhood at all, but there is fast food and a grocery store across the street. The good news is that the apartment is north of the city close to the airport - only 10Euro cab ride. The owner was very nice and accommodating, even allowing late check out. Will return next time I travel to Begium

We enjoyed a two month long stay in this well-equipped and spacious apartment. It felt like home to us and our 4 year old daughter who loved the single bedroom with the storage area that doubled as a "secret clubhouse". It was a perfect location from which to explore Brussels, Belgium, and neighboring countries. Other great things about this place: there is a grocery store across the street, climbing the steps to the apartment is excellent exercise, and Alexandra is a wonderful host. We will definitely stay here again someday!

Our family of five had a wonderful stay at Arpeggio at the beginning of July. The apartment was beautiful and perfect for our needs. Alexandra is a very gracious and helpful host, and the location was great for local restaurants and shopping, as well as catching the train to central Brussels. The grocery and coffee shop nearby were very convenient.

We spent a very pleasant time at Arpeggio. It was very confortable. The apartment is perfectly equipped - nice and warm during winter - close to shops, restaurants and the station. You just need to hop on a train and 15 minutes later you are in the middle of Brussels enjoying the scenery, the buildings, the beers, the waffles, the chocolates and the extraordinary Belgian food. Thanks Alexandra for a fantastic time.

I enjoyed a very nice three day stay in this flat. It is on the 3rd floor of a typical Dutch-style building about 15 minutes outside of Brussles. The owner picked me up at the airport and is a delightful woman who lives in the flat on the first floor. The flat itself is clean and very spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. The chinese restaurant down the street is quite good.
