The Ile St-Louis was originally two smaller islands that were united in the 17th century. After the construction, lords and financiers built their homes here. As a result, the Ile St-Louis remains a lovely place to walk around and admire the mansions, still standing: less than a kilometer long and only about 300 meters wide.
The fact that IIe St.-Louis is tethered to the rest of the city by six bridges makes it seem like its own minuscule kingdom, imparting the impression of being almost self-contained. Ile St. Louis makes an ideal base from which to venture into the rest of the city.
The apartment is on the first floor, via stairs or by elevator: 35 square meters on the floor plus 15 square meters on the mezzanine. It can receive comfortably two couples of friends or a family.
The apartment is provided by two double beds; but a sofa/convertible is available for a fifth person. The dining area offers a round table for four or six people. A very nice sitting coin has two armchairs and divan. On the mezzanine, there is a writing desk and a small library.
