Our House Healdsburg is spacious country charm on two and a half acres. Very private and secluded, not visible from the road. It is adjacent to 90 acres of oak forest and vineyards. It is located approximately 72 miles north of San Francisco in Healdsburg, California's most picturesque and prestigious wine country valley in Sonoma County. Enjoy Wine Country events and entertainment year-round.
The main house overlooks the Dry Creek Valley. Our House is set approximately 30 feet above the valley and provides a totally private environment with a large 24 by 45 foot solar heated swimming pool and a luxury spa. The Jacuzz style spa is heat on demand year round and comfortably accommodates eight adults. The pool and spa are set in a resort like expansive lawn.
A grand stairway leads up from the lawn to a wrap around terrace. Enjoy multiple sitting and dining areas on the terrace.
The owners enjoy an open door 'no appointment necessary' lifestyle in the country. Our house is fully equiped for this approach to life and entertainment.
Health and fitness enthusiasts can enjoy a walk, run or bicycle ride that starts at the koi pond and continues down the pea gravel driveway into miles of vineyards. Or, enjoy a stroll through the private landscaped grounds. Free-weights (five to 20 pounds) are available.
Weekly housekeeping included. More frequent by arrangement. Local catering service referral available.
Main house has a large fireplace and lots of aromatic logs for cozy, romantic evenings by the fire. Dining room table seats 10 to 12 guests. Fully equipped kitchen with gas burners. Two full-size refrigerators in main house. Full-size refrigerator in guest house.
Guest house offers individual entry for each bedroom. All bedrooms open to landscaped grounds. Comfortable beds with down pillows and down comforters.
Bathrooms have tankless continuous flow water heaters - everyone enjoys a hot shower anytime. Granite vanity counters. One of two granite bathrooms in guest house has double shower heads.

Our House exceeded our expectations on all accounts! True to the website photos, it is a beautiful home inside and out. I was there with a group of friends to celebrate a 50th birthday. We have visited wine country as a group for the past 7 years and have stayed in other VRBO properties. This house is our favorite by far! The owners were very attentive and personal from the day we booked through the day we left. Upon arrival, the owner met our group and gave us a very thorough tour and helpful information which allowed us to fully enjoy the house. The large open kitchen and living room space was perfect for us. We enjoy cooking and eating in together and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The kitchen leads out onto a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the pool and hot tub. It is a great space to hang out and enjoy the serene landscape and gardens. Coffee on the patio and an early morning hot tub became a ritual for us. So relaxing! One of the best things about this house, although perfect for a group, is that you can find a nice quiet place if you need some time to yourself. The bedrooms are very comfortable and spacious and provide the right sense of privacy without feeling removed from the group. The guest house is located a few steps from the main house and has its own kitchen which was a nice addition for those mornings when you wanted some fresh brewed coffee but didn't want to walk to the main house in your pajamas. And the location of the house is perfect for wine tasting! It is easy to visit a number of wineries within a few miles of the house. All in all we found the house absolutely fantastic and can't wait to stay there again next year. In fact, I'm not sure we will try to book any other house for our annual visit. I just spent a weekend at this beautiful home in Healdsburg!! I couldn't have been happier. The grounds are breathtaking and everything was well beyond my expectations. The pictures do not do this place justice! Every detail of the home is thought out. The owners, Jim and Viola, are so welcoming and ensure everything is just right as you start your stay. This is hands down the best vacation home I have stayed in. A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.
