Main House, a Studio, two-person Cabin, and a 900 sq. ft A-Frame House, all on the same property. Just 3/4 of a mile down the road from Lake Ouachita and the Twin Creek Recreation Area. (where you'll find a boat launch/beach/fishing/camping and more) The house is 30 minutes outside of Hot Springs traveling west on Rt. 270 near Mt. Ida. The only place in the area where you can accommodate up to 28 of your family members all on the same property with no one else sharing your private space!

Main house has beautiful pine wood floors, Cathedral Ceiling, and fireplace. It is beautifully decorated and very spacious for large groups. It's Master Bedroom has french doors leading to a private deck with a view of the crystal fountain, Gazebo and wooded back yard.
The Cabin offers a romantic smaller space "just for two" with queen size bed, bathroom with clawfoot tub, and equipt kitchenette. It is available as an addition to the Main House or as a separate rental.
The Studio, was designed with TEENS in mind! It is located in between the Cabin and Main House is available for extra sleeping and entertainment only. It has two full size beds, a futon and foosball table. (no separate bath in here)
The A-Frame house has a beautiful view from the upper balcony at the peak of the house. It is more secluded than the other units since it sits away from the others just a bit.
The beautiful back yard is 6 acres of Dogwood and other hardwood trees, has a gazebo, crystal water fountain, covered picnic area with charcoal grill and much more! Property is located on a small dead-end street providing privacy and a peaceful setting.

Why the Owner Chose Hot Springs
Nestled in the Ouachita National Forest, this beautiful 6 acre wooded property is less than a mile from the 2nd cleanest lake in the country! The air quality out here in the country is pristine! It's just 30 minutes outside of Hot Springs, and 20 minutes from our own home. A PERFECT location in every regard.
The Unique Benefits at this House
With a Main House, Studio, Cabin and A-frame House all in one location we are able to accommodate LARGE family gatherings (up to 28 people). The 6 wooded acres located on a small dead-end street, offer guests privacy and "peace and quiet" from the hussle and bussle of their normally hectic lives. Quartz crystals can be found on the surface all around the property.

Connie moved from Kent, Ohio to Hot Springs, Arkansas in May 2004 to be with her eHarmony "match" and soon to be husband, Marc Rubben. She has 3 children (ages 18,22,24) who live in Ohio. She purchased her first vacation rental in August 2004, mainly to house the extra furniture from the two households now combined. It would also be a great place for family and friends to stay when visiting. Connie takes care of all aspects of the vacation rental business. She is a perfectionist, "clean freak" and a people pleaser! She takes great pride in providing this beautiful, clean and affordable vacation spot to others.
Marc is a professional Comedian/Ventriloquist. You may have seen him over the past 20+ years at various comedy clubs across the country or in exclusive resorts around the globe. More recently he can be found aboard a Carnival cruise ship. Marc was showcased on "Accidentially Famous" a reality show aired on Comcast OnDemand in May, 2007. If you haven't seen Marc perform "live", be sure to check out his DVD, which is in the video library on-site. Marc has 2 kids (ages 18,20)
Connie and Marc live in an underground house on the Ouachita River with their 8 dogs and 1 cat. They also foster dogs for the Warm Hearts Humane Society. Now you know why they own property that is "Dog Friendly"

I took our sons and my niece and nephew for a trip to Hot Springs. We drove all the way from Chicago to Mt. Ida and were so tired. What a relief to arrive in the middle of the night at the A Frame! It was so lovely and welcoming! There was plenty of room for all of us - 7 in all; and it was very clean and well maintained. Connie was available to answer questions and made us feel at home. We enjoyed the house, digging for crystals, and playing at the lake. It was like our own private lake as there was no one else there. The house was very clean and well decorated. It has a style all its own. At night we could see the Milky Way from one of the balconies - something none of us will ever forget. Thanks Connie!

We had a great time! ...it is great to have a "great" room so all 15 of us can be together. We enjoyed the quiet of morning walks to the lake....We enjoyed the Arkansas experience! .... We loved the vicinity and convenience to the lake. Lake Ouachita is beautiful!

Thanks Connie! We had such a nice time staying here at the A-frame house. You thought of everything when you outfitted the house and we certainly appreciated it. It was also great being able to take our dog with us on vacation and still stay at such a nice place. We hope to be back soon!

We had a great time. Enjoyed the house very much. The kids enjoyed looking for crystals in the yard. Thanks for all the information you provided about the mines, it was a blast! The only complaint is we couldn't stay longer.
