This spacious duplex is located in a tropical paradise. The property is on 11th Street, facing east, on the island city of Key Colony Beach at MM 54 in the Middle Keys (near Marathon).
This is a canal-front unit with a 37-foot dock, fish cleaning table with light, and easy access to both the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. The home features a large, 29-foot screened porch fronting the canal (great place to dine), two bedrooms, two baths, great room, carport and laundry room.
The master bedroom has a queen and a single bed, and the guest bedroom has two double beds. Each bedroom has it's own full bathroom. The unit has been remodeled with a new kitchen, new baths, comfortable furnishings/beds, central air and heat, tile in the kitchen and baths, and carpet elsewhere.
Membership to a private beach on the Atlantic with fresh water shower and picnic area is included. The beach is a five-minute walk from the unit, as is SUNSET PARK. Beach chairs and beach towels are provided.
BICYCLES, free long distance, WiFi Internet and flat-screen tv in the living room are included.
Key Colony Beach is an island city that offers a quiet, tropical setting with excellent restaurants, boat rentals, charter boats, par three golf, tennis, basketball court, children's park, and resort-type shopping all within walking distance. In combination with our remodeled unit, this a winning vacation location.

When you arrive at Fran's Place you immediately see that not only do you get what it says on the tin, but lots lots more. This property is superbly maintained and is located in the middle of Paradise. Every detail seems to have been thought of and it is equipped with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. The canal facing porch is a delightful place to have an evening meal and enjoy a cool drink (or two!!!). This was the second time myself and friends have stayed in this property and will no doubt return in the future when we can. I would have no hesitation recommending this property to anyone and if pushed, would say my only complaint is that the time passed too quickly, although I'm sure the owner of this property would attempt to rectify that if it was possible. So, if you're thinking of renting this property, stop thinking and book it, before someone beats you to it.
Recommended for:Age 55+.

Like other reviews have said, the pictures do not go any where near doing this perfect place justice. When we arrived last year we thought that we had the wrong place, it was just lovely. Everything, and i mean everything is there for you to use and as far as cleanliness goes this place is immaculate.It is only a short stroll to Sparky s landing, the coolest bar/restaurant in the keys.Fish tacos MMmmmmm We all had such a outstanding holiday were off back this month, pity its only for 10 days, could easily do a month. Book it now you will not be disappointed

Fran's Place helped make our vacation perfect! The house location is amazing...I particularly love being on the canal water and having a HUGE screened in porch to enjoy drinks an all our meals! The "frequent visitor" came by a few times as well, plus three of his pelican friends and an iguana! Very mellow atmosphere in the house and its surroundings. Perfect layout to enjoy friends and family comfortably, but big enough to find a quite spot to cozy up with a beer and a book! Highly recommend staying here...I hope to go back again SOON!

Fran's place was the perfect setting for our girls trip to the Keys. Her home is immaculate! Use of the bikes and beach chairs with towels helped to keep our packing to a minimum and were all in wonderful condition. The private beach (cleanest and softest sand in the Keys) and also Sunset Park was just a short walk from the house. Of all the homes I have rented thru vrbo, hers was the best represented and maintained. She was wonderful to work with in planning for our perfect vacation spot. I was so thrilled with our decision to stay here, especially after I checked out the other possibilities..... I hope I can make a return trip! This would be a lovely spot for two couples, girls trip, or a family. The neighborhood is peaceful, quiet and beautiful.

Fran's Place is a place to remember! It is remarkably clean, beautiful and a tropical paradise for sure. It has everything I could have ever needed for a week, a month or more. It is extremely spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The private beach was fabulous, calming and relaxing with tropical water temperatures. Key Colony is a very charming area. I was impressed with the immaculate deatils of the homes and landscaping of the quaint little city. My family enjoyed the visiting egrets and pelicans. The pictures do not do this place justice....It is far more beautiful! This is a trustworthy vacation rental!
