It is situated in a perfect location in Provence: the heart of lavender country, Cotes du Rhone wine and a truly magnificent cuisine, subtly blending traditional French cuisine with those of Italy and Spain. Lovely gardens surround the private pool, including cypress trees, palm trees, and a cornucopia of fragrant and brilliant roses.

Forty-five minutes to Aix-en-Provence, two hours to Nice, three hours to Italy, four hours to Barcelona Spain or Lake Geneva in Switzerland. Truly a limitless vacation experience.

Lovely small villa with pool in delightful gardens

This was the perfect location for a nostalgic return to the Carpentras area of Provence where we had stayed for consecutive years at a local campsite(now closed) in the days when we had little money! The house was in an extremely convenient location, not just for site seeing but for the Supermarket (5 mins in the car) and the short walk into Sarrians for bread, post office etc. The arrival was very smooth and Christophe, the manager, was very prompt and helpful, as were all the pre arrival dealings with the owner . The pool was exceptionally clean and the garden setting was very pretty(and not at all over looked). As the owners clearly use this as a second home it had personal touches and also an excpetional range of maps and guide books. T he herb garden was the icing on the cake along with the easy access to free Wi fi.!! The bed in the main guest room was really comfy and for those of us over 50 with back problems that says something!! As we didn't have all of our family with us we chose not to rent the additional small apartment but would recommend this if two seperate families were renting as the extra bathroom facilities would be good. The main bathroom is fine but there is only one and if you want real privacy it would be worth the extra money. This really is an excellent location for the amazing site -seeing available in this area, there is a little traffic noise but we would certainly choose this home again if we were to return to Vaucluse. Thank you Elias and family for giving us the opportunity to stay in your lovely second home . This area is wonderful and you offer a superb small villa to make it even more special.

Our vacation in La Lavande has been one of our very best vacations ever. All our expectations have been redeemed. The house is spacious and decorated in the typical provence style. The terrace gives you possiblity for sitting in the shadow, when the sun is too strong. And you can still be sitting outside if it should be rainy weather. The garden is just lovely. Palm trees and a lot of flowers. And then of course the pool. We spent many hours in the water. Sarrians is a small village in the wine district Rhône. A very good starting point for outings in the Provence area.

This is our 4th visit to Provence, but our first to La Lavande, and Sarrians. We sincerely hope it won’t be our last as we have had a very happy holiday here. Highlights? The amazing fireworks in Monteux (part of the fete de Ste. Jean), the all too brief visit to Aigues Mortes; Gorges de Nesque and Mont de Ventoux. Culinary highlights include the amazing tomatoes from the specialist seller in Orange (Thursday market – near the Hotel de Ville); a sublime meal with exquisite service at the Hotel Montmirail near Vaqueyras and the simple hospitality of Jean-Marc and his family at the St Croix. And do we even need to mention the beautiful surroundings and quite possibly some of the most stunning sunsets we have ever seen!.

We had a truly amazing experience here in Provence. We loved your home. It was comfortable and cozy and right in the heart of beautiful Provence. It was great to return after long days of sightseeing and have a refreshing dip in the pool. Hd in ton been for your most helpful “yellow book” we may have missed some of the most picturesque sights. Roussillon, Gorge D’Ardeche, Carpentras. Thank you again. We will definitely return!.

What a beautiful place you have here. We were very much at home and enjoyed spending days here relaxing, reading and swimming as much as we did sightseeing. I hope we enjoy our coming week in Burgundy and Paris as much

We have had a wonderful stay in your charming house. Everything was perfect, especially the pool which was a lifesaver. A few recommendations for the guests: 1. Canoeing under the Pont du Gard 2. The views and castle at Les Beaux 3. Rent a bike- the country roads just go on forever 4. though decidedly non Provencal, the Go Karts will be a huge hit avec les enfants

After adjustment to the intense heat, aided by wine, cheese and a dip in the beautiful pool, we started our exploration of the region. Avignon, Arles, Gorge de Verdon – oh my – how beautiful (we paddled through the canyon). Then La Camargue and a great restaurant (same name) in the beautiful village in Aigues Mortes. Wednesday – Vaison la Romaine and wine tasting; Thursday Aix en Provence; Friday Marche in Carpentras – fabulous, plust Gordes and Abbaye de Senanque. We loved thehouse – it was perfect

We spent a wonderful week exploring the countryside and enjoying the food with a comfortable home to return to each night. Your house was perfect for us in all respects – for exploring the Vaucluse, for watching the World Cup and for relaxing and refreshing after long, hot days of touring.
