My family has stayed at this beautiful home many times. The owners are great to deal with and so very accomodating. The homemade, delivered breakfast is something we've never experienced before. A beautiful home on a beautiful island.

Christine and Karl, we had a wonderful time staying at your home in Nantucket! It is a beautiful home in a beautiful, peaceful area and had everything we needed - and then some. We especially enjoyed your homemade breakfast the first morning and all the extra touches! Thank you so much for all your help with everything. We love Nantucket!
Owner response:Thank you so much Stephen and Kathleen, It was a pleasure meeting you and your lovely family, and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. That's what its all about! Christine and Karl

My wife and I, as well as two other couples, stayed at Sea Castle this past weekend. I was a little nervous being the one responsible for finding a spot to stay, but we all could not have been more pleased. This house rocked! The owner, Christine, graciously allowed us to check-in early (our boat came in at noon) and was there at the house to greet us, give us the keys, explain the hot tub as well as answer our questions. She had left a bottle of champagne and box of chocolates for us in the master bedroom. The house and grounds are beautiful and impeccably maintained; they apparently just finished remodeling; some of the house shingles are still not grayed up in Nantucket style. This is an "upside down" house, so the kitchen and living room are on the second floor, with so many windows that you literally forget you are in a house! Gorgeous views! We went out the first night (sample menus in kitchen drawer!) and ate at the RopeWalk at Christine's recommendation. Awesome! We were back in town for a wedding Saturday afternoon, and after that picked up fresh seafood and brought it home to grill. The kitchen was fully stocked with just about every spice and cooking utensil, too. The deck offered the perfect sunset; and the living room was a great space to reconnect. This vacation house is wonderful, and has whatever you need to feel at home, every amenity you could possibly think of, right down to the provision of laundry soap and aloe for the sunburns we got! We loved just hanging out on the deck, as well as the HUGE hot tub. We did not want to leave! We are hoping to book a week in September and return to this wonderful home. Thanks so much Christine and Karl! See you soon, Sea Castle!

The property is located in a tranquil residential area, within a 5-minute drive from an uncrowded beach, ten minutes from a supermarket, two seafood market well-stocked with fresh fish including lobsters and a package and other stores. The center of town is about five minutes further. The house is “upside down” so as to give views of the island including spectacular sunsets from the upstairs rooms. The lot is landscaped with lawns for play areas and hedges for privacy. It has its own spacious parking area. An outside shower is a welcome amenity after returning from the beach. The house is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, particularly the upstairs living room featuring nautical artifacts and comfortable leather-upholstered furniture. Kitchen and laundry appliances are state-of-the art, including an enormous refrigerator-freezer. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, flatware, utensils and appliances. As regards shopping and eating out, Nantucket boasts fashionable boutiques as well as more pedestrian stores of all kinds and family-style to elegant gourmet eateries. The town of Nantucket is a sightseer’s and history buff’s paradise, from the ship’s ballast-paved Main Street to the quiet back streets – all of which conform to the architectural standards of an old whaling port. There are movie and repertory theatres, museums and a unique, giant farm store, giving visitors plenty to do even on rainy days. The property’s owners live nearby. They are accessible and helpful when asked for advice or assistance. To us, Nantucket is uniquely relaxing while offering plenty of recreation and entertainment.

This extraordinarily well-stocked family home was perfectly placed for our multi-generational holiday. The oldies were thrilled to be able to explore the island, while the young and young-at-heart appreciated the perfect waves on the closest surfside beaches: endless and uncrowded. Pre-trip info and advice from owners was invaluable, and their proximity meant we could also benefit from advice when we got our rental van stuck in a thigh-high puddle! High points for all included soaks in the hot tub each evening and then nightly explorations of the games cupboard and video/DVD shelf after dinner. We recommend this property very highly indeed (ages 7-51!)

What a fantastic place. We have been coming to Nantucket for over 20 years and this is the best home we have ever rented. The house was bright and airy, exceedingly well maintained, and supplied with just about everything one could need. We loved the extra touches offered, welcome gifts, champagne, breakfast, extra sweatshirts, games, movies, blankets, large yard and so on. Its location was perfect, close to our favorite beach, Madequesham, and only a short ride to town. Close to the bike path and shuttle bus, my kids were thrilled to be so independent. My husband jogged to the beach every morning while my parents and kids sat on the beautiful deck, listening to the ocean and planning our day. My favorite was the hot tub at night after the kids went to bed. This is a home you can truly relax in and reconnect with family. We cannot wait until next year when we can return to our "Sea Castle". We are glad to have found it!

Awesome two weeks - we loved biking to Sconset and Tom Nevers Beach. Had a fantastic morning kayaking to Cotuit. Loved the Maria Mitchell Aquarium walk; the kids caught and sorted a variety of fish. We hung out with the seals at Sconset and Tom Nevers. We will remember our sunset barbeque at Tom Nevers Beach for many months to come. Our Nantucket memories will laast forever. Thank you Christine and Karl for the wonderfully equipped house . . .we enjoyed every minute (and even figured out how to work the TV with your patient help)!

For Granny's birthday celebration, we came to this wonderful location. We explored the Isle by bike and by foot and found the place a sensation. The head of the harbor was a stunning sight, as was Dionis Beach by night. Biking and surfing has been such fun, and we are sorry to leave but the time has come. Thanks!!!

Your house really has everything a vacationer would want! Skyler especially thanks you for the use of all your toys and games. They kept him happy until the fog lifted! Your kitchen we call "Kim's Tavern" as we love the island bar. Nantucket crabbing, riptide scares at Surfside and cliff jumping at Tom Nevers made for an exciting visit to the Grey Lady!

This past weekend was very memorable and beautiful on the island, which you two took a great part of by letting us staying in your house. We very extremely amazed by the amenities and the way the house was equipped. We will surely remember this nice stay for a long-long time (hopefully refresh the memories by future visits of the island). We will certainly recommend your house to anyone we hear of planning of going to Nantucket. Once again, thank you for letting us staying in your house, we had a great time!!!

We really enjoyed our time at Sea Castle! Wow! We biked, we walked, we ran, we got up early and stayed up late. We read and read and read! We beached everyday and love the ocean at Tom Nevers. We ate out and cooked in. We played Scrabble and laughed. We enjoyed the sun in the day and the stars at night. Thank you for sharing your home for our family strengthening experience!
