We welcome you to our apartment. We are a professional couple, each with over 15 years experience of customer service in the travel industry and are fluent in English, French and German. Our work shuttles us between France and the US. After moving out into the countryside, we redecorated our flat and equipped it so as to accomodate the needs of our guests.
Located 15 minutes walk from the Tour Eiffel at 41 rue de Passy, this elegant one-bedroom apartment is situated in the heart of the Village de Passy - a charming and historical neighbourhood. Each day, you will enjoy shopping at the farmer's market in the rue de l'Annonciation just a minute away.
The rue de Passy is not just all about historical charm - this upmarket area features designer boutiques. Joseph, Kenzo, Guerlain and L'Occitane rub shoulders with more familiar names such as Gap and Esprit. When tired out from shopping, the numerous delightful tea rooms provide you with a welcome break.
At the top of the rue de Passy the "jardins du Ranelagh" with their centuries old chestnut trees are the perfect place for a stroll. The kids will enjoy the authentic Parisian puppet theatre, the merry-go-round and the donkey rides. The finest collection of Monet artwork can be viewed at the "musee Marmottan" located just by the garden.
The apartment is situated on the first floor of a well-maintained 20th century elevator building with gardienne. The building itself has recently benefitted from a face-lift. The main entrance gate is protected by a security system and an intercom. The apartment overlooks a central landscaped courtyard. French windows with manual shutters (for privacy and security) open onto the balcony which runs the full length of the apartment.
The entry door opens on a hallway with built-in wall closets and 19th century reproduction furniture made from cherry-wood. The hall opens onto the bedroom and the living room with its en suite kitchen. At the end are the shower room and the separate toilet.
The 15m² living room has oak parquet flooring. It is decorated with a 140cm-wide italian designer sofa bed (extremely comfortable for sleeping !), a coffee table, an English pine dining table with four matching chairs, a side table, a lamp, a chest of drawers, cable TV, ADSL internet access, a DVD player as of 2006, a CD player (including a tape player and radio) with remote control and a phone.
The 12m² bedroom is fitted out with 100% pure wool carpeting and is furnished with a 140cm-wide bed, matching Italian bedside tables and lamps, a chest of drawers, a luggage stand and a phone jack.
The tiled separate kitchen is unusually well equiped for a flat of this size. In addition to the utensils, you will find a small fridge, two ceramic hotplates, an electric oven, a microwave, a cooker hood, a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a toaster and a kettle (a freezer is located in one of the hallway closet).
