Claytor Lake barn description
Built in 2008, Circle T Guest Ranch is a piece of heaven, with or without your horses. Recent renovations are complete as of mid-July, 2013, ensuring an enhanced guest experience!
Only three miles from the freeway, peace and quiet are in abundance. The second-story loft living space is no ordinary 'bunkhouse', with a gourmet granite and stainless steel kitchen, ample dining area, with a patio deck just beyond, a comfortable living area, bar, and office area. One queen bedroom, across from a full bathroom with double sinks and shower is on the main floor loft, as well as a laundry room.
The storied, one-of-a-kind antique oak and leaded glass bar was imported many years ago from a pub in England.
The third floor loft offers a semi-private king bedroom area and walk-in closet. On the opposite end of the loft beyond a room divider is a set of twin bunk beds as well as a daybed.
Along with the sofa (or rollaway bed), sleeping accommodations are adequate for eight guests.
For our four-legged friends, there are four 12 x 12 stalls available as well as pasture boarding in two large, grassy paddocks. Boarding rates are $20/nite per horse (pasture board, 2 large grassy paddocks with water) or $30/nite per horse (stall board, includes bedding and a bale of hay and water, you agree to muck!) This amount will not appear on the auto-quote feature.
Less than five minutes to a public boat launch on Claytor Lake, bring your boat or rent one nearby. Just six miles from the New River Trail, the old railroad trail runs along the water for 59 miles, offering an unparalleled equestrian experience. The trailhead at Draper has parking for horse trailers and bike rentals are nearby.

This amazing renovated barn sits on 6 fenced acres. Our 2 big dogs absolutely loved running around and barking at bullfrogs. The house is incredibly beautiful with thick wood beams and floors and a kitchen that was wonderful to cook in. It's perfectly quiet and provides a great getaway from the hustle and bustle. Just a note since it didn't bother us, but the rooms don't have ceilings--it's more loft-style, so if you have other people staying you'll hear the TV or talking while you're in a bedroom. About a mile down the road is a boat ramp and they let our dogs swim to their hearts content. About 20 minutes up the road are great antique malls and the Claytor Lake State Park.
