Year Purchased: 2013
About: I grew up in Ft. Lauderdale and headed west to NM when I was twenty. I purchased this house as an investment/retirement house in April 2013 and went on a month long shopping spree to furnish it. NEW would describe everything in this OLD Ft. Lauderdale home excepting the lovely 1941 stone fireplace, the original hardwood floors, some bathroom tile, and lovely old trees! If you love mid-century charming homes with a modern flair, close to EVERYWHERE, stay here! Oh, and about this owner... she resides in NEW Mexico and OLD Florida part-time!
Why Colee Hammock:
I bought this property because I was drying out in NM and the sea was calling me and many lifelong friends still live in the area and I must confess, I am a house-aholic! And, last and not least, I wanted to GO HOME! Maybe Thomas Wolfe is right, maybe You Can't Go Home Again, but I am going to try pretty soon. Until then, please enjoy my VRBO!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Why not? Everything is new and the location is superb! Best of all is the property manager, Lou Recchi, my friend since kindergarten, who never left this area and can answer most all your questions!
