Taos Pueblo, a ten minute drive, is the oldest continually occupied structure in North America with tours and several festivals open to the public. We invite you to enjoy our home, cool in the summer and snug in the winter. It is a perfect retreat for starting a book, revising a manuscript, painting a canvas... or doing nothing at all. Climb the stairs or sipapu ladder to the roof deck and sit back for the gorgeous lightshow of a northern New Mexico sunset, and later, look back on your day in the hot tub under New Mexico's famous star-filled sky. Enjoy!

FROM THE GUEST BOOK:

After 2 days of skiing and 2 days of Taos-ing we can't tell you how much we've enjoyed staying here — it's so authentic, yet modern. My wife enjoyed it so much she skipped skiing one day just to hang around, needlepoint and soak in the feel. New Mexico is truly the Land of Enchantment and so is Casa Sofia!
— The A's, Wichita, Kansas

Such a relaxing week — the view is so serene and the bed so comfortable we slept 10 hours each night. It's like living in a piece of art. We appreciate the love and good taste that went into creating such wonderful atmosphere.
— T & K, Silver Springs, Maryland

We are a reunion of high school friends and husbands, celebrating precious friendships with a powwow at Taos Pueblo, hiking, white water rafting and the Santa Fe opera! We have loved the lovely, comfortable setting, the well-stocked kitchen, and that ever-beautiful sky.
— G, D, L and B, Saint Louis, Houston and Cedar Rapids

Wonderful celebrating New Years Eve in front of a roaring kiva fire and a turkey in the oven! We'll be back!
— The G's, Washington D. C.

We had 3 fabulous days of skiing and 4 wonderful nights here. We could not wait to come back everyday to this lovely "island" of comfort, light, stars, art, good books, and soothing ambience. What a tranquil, yet stirring environment — beautiful views to enrich the soul.
— The J's, Oklahoma City

A fabulous 4 days with breakfasts and sunsets on the roof, breakfast burritos from Abe's, and a heroic hike to Williams Lake and on up to Wheeler Peak. Thank you!
— The B's, Oakland, California

We love this country between Taos and the mountain, coyotes in the starry night, the wide atmosphere and comforting personality of Casa Sofia. Soon again!
— M & C, Bern, Switzerland

What did we love most? The hollyhocks in the garden or the wild roses across the road? The paper bag painting or the oil cloth on the table? The coyote fence or the ladder to the roof? Afternoon thunderstorms or sunset colors or nightly coyote serenades? Thank you for a golden autumn week.
— The S's and the W's, Cape Coral, Florida

The views are incredible, the colors like nowhere else. WE enjoyed horseback riding in the high country and on the Pueblo, and we came home to sunsets from the roof and marveled at the moon from a soak in the hot tub. Casa Sofia is a joy.
— The P's, New Haven, Connecticut
