RESTRICTED TO 7 PEOPLE MAXIMUM. Cabin on a dead-end grave1 road overlooking a very private bay of Big Eau Pleine Reservoir (Over 6000 acres of water). Lots of wildlife.
Sit on the dock and fish, or take your boat out on the 12 miles of water. Note that the dock is not always available for boats due to fluctuating water levels, but there is a very nice public landing 1 1/2 miles. Swimming is allowed, but not a great lake bottom. There is a very nice county park a few miles down the road that has a very nice beach area with shelters, playground, and grills. Wonderful area for tubing. Close to ATV trails. Also, two major snowmobile trails to jump on nearby. Enjoy your private hot tub under the stars!

The home was nice and cozy. Everything you can imagine plus more was supplied. Plenty to do in and outside. Everyone had a great time though the hottub seem to be lacking water, but we still used it. Weather was terrific the four days we stayed. We saw so many eagles, which was amazing! We hope to stay again. Thanks!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

This trip was based on the type of weather which is expected to be had in the winter month of March. There obviously was not snow on the ground however, the 15-20 minute drive to Granite Peak was still open for the season with made snow. The place itself provides EVERYTHING you would expect to find in your normal home so nothing to complain about. Both bathrooms were very clean and so was the shower. All the bedrooms came completely ready to be slept in as soon as you walk through the door. The picture of the game room does not give it justice. It is way bigger than it looks, with an added covered/screened in deck area attached to it. The lot of land was great, tons of room. A lot of fire wood was provided for us to use as well. Hot tub was used a lot especially after a day of snowboarding. The weather was so nice the lake was able to be used, the row boats provided is something that adds to the trip. We would definitely come back to the place again and recommend it to friends and family.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, adventure seekers.

My girlfriends and I have rented this location 2x for an excellent weekend retreat. The kayaks were an awesome addition. I saw an eagle and heard a loon on my early morning exploration of the reservoir. What a nice surprise that the water was up on the 2nd visit. If you don't enjoy the sights and sounds of nature, this might not be your best destination for a vacation. Fish jumping and slapping the lake, frogs croaking and birds singing were relaxing background music. I am marking the calendar so my children can come along and enjoy the game room. They are going to flip when they see it!!! :) While they play--mom will be enjoying the hot tub. Thank you owners for making it a "SWEET" home away from home getaway. It truly is a good thing!!!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

House was great. Did not need to bring a thing lots of dishes, towels ect... Good location to travel. Do not expect to swim it is all muck. 4.5 miles of dirt roads to the house so motorcyclist beware. No garage it is full so plan on parking outside. ANTS, ANTS EVERYWHERE!!! Expect to do the dishes prior to eating they are in the draweres and cupboards and climbing the kitchen walls.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car.
Owner response: There are many, many miles of dirt roads in this area. The shoreline was not great as there had been a lot of rain and the water level was very, very high. I did change the note on the garage that I do have a car and snowmobiles in there. If I had known it was needed, I could have moved them out for your stay. I was not aware of an ant problem. I did see one, and have since had the cabin treated. It would be appreciated if beer cans and bottles are not left laying around the yard, dirty dishes are not left in the sink, and the garbage is taken out to the trash can.
