This lovely little home is situated on an acre of property and as close as a house can be to the wonderful and picturesque Petpeswick Inlet. We are about 10 kms from the open ocean so the water here is tidal but calm, warm for swimming, and great for fishing or bird watching. We are about 1.8 kms from the village of Musquodoboit Harbour where you can get basic supplies, go to the bank, pharmacy, bakery, library, post office or gym. There are couple little restaurant/cafes, as well....for example The Dobbit Bakery (great place for a coffee). You can also visit the Railway Museum and access the Trailway Hiking System in the village. Farmers’ Market is on Sundays. Lobsterworld is a very short distance up the old highway. There are two golf courses nearby, as well and the Petpeswick Yacht Club is just a little stroll away. Generations of kids have learned to sail there. Yours can, too. The house has 2 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms …..two up and two on the ground floor. It’s great for a family or two couples who each can have their own space. Every room has a wonderful view. A comfortable living room has satellite TV, stereo, board games, a wood burning fireplace and a spectacular view. The dining room also has a wonderful view…..you feel like you are hanging over the water as you sit at the table! The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, appliances and cooking utensils as well as some staple requirements for getting started. There is wireless internet for your convenience. The grounds are well landscaped, with plenty of lawn for kids to run around and play. If you travel towards the spectacular Martinique Beach Provincial Park, every little vignette is worth a camera click. It’s about 10 kms to the beach which has 5 kilometers of sandy wonderfulness and the wilderness sanctuary where you can dig for clams or watch the birds. You usually see surfers and you can rent surf boards etc. just near the entrance to the park. Shopping is handy at Porter’s Lake or Jeddore, either centre is close. Of course you will want to explore the historic cities of Halifax and Dartmouth….it takes about a half hour to get to Dartmouth, and Halifax is just across the bridge. If you go East from Musquodoboit, you meander up the No. 7 Highway through beautiful ocean scenery, passing Sheet Harbour, Port Dufferin, lots of art galleries, antique and craft shops, quaint little cafes and tearooms, as well as lots of opportunities for seafood and ice cream. While I am mentioning food, I need to say that LobsterWorld is just up the road East on Highway 7. Great prices on the lobsters and an excellent variety of seafood. At the risk of repeating..... just want to make sure that everyone knows how lovely it is here in the Fall. The time when the leaves turn colour is often the most popular with the tourist, for bus tours and of course those touring by car. everywhere you look, it's stunning and breathtaking. A great time to come to Nova Scotia.

About the owner: I have always dreamed about owning a little place by the sea. Having this sweet little house has been a tremendous pleasure for me, and I am happy to share it with others when I am unable to be there myself.
Why the Owner Chose Musquodoboit Harbour: We 'shopped and shopped' before finding this cottage. We wanted to be within easy reach of the airport and the major highways, as well as having peace and quiet. Nothing ever seemed to be the perfect place until we drove in the driveway to this house. Bingo....the perfect one! A look at the view, even from the driveway stole our hearts.
The Unique Benefits at this House: This small community is the perfect blend of quiet relaxation, and yet has quick access to the cities, the airport and all activities. You can even zip over to Prince Edward Island in about 4 hours, or get to Annapolis Royale and Digby with and easy drive. Mahone Bay, Chester, and Lunenburg are close enough for a day trip, as well. Very well situated.
