First Floor has the popular open-kitchen to family room plan, Guest Powder Room, Desk Area, Master bedroom, and Laundry. Also Screened Dining Porch. Kitchen has all stainless Jenn-Aire appliances, a large table that seats eight and a breakfast bar that seats four. A Second Family room provides plenty of elbow room and plenty of space to escape and have some time to yourself.

Why the Owner Chose Gulf Beaches
Growing up on the Georgia coast a beach town was not a place with resorts and high rise condos. It was a place where you could hop on your bike and not worry about being mowed over by traffic. We spent many years exploring coastal towns from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and even California. Our current home is in the Metro Atlanta area, we were looking for a quiet place to get away. The late Celestine Sibley, a long time writer for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, on occasion would write of her travels to her 2nd home on Dog Island Florida in the Gulf of Mexico. Her writings intrigued us and that is how we found The Forgotten Coast. Finally a place to getaway, to leave your worries behind, and at one time, a place where our cell phones could not get a signal.

The Unique Benefits at this House
Privacy. Beautiful Sunsets from the Screen Porch. Many of our neighbors happen to live on the island year
round, whereas many of the island homes are surrounded by other rental homes. The corner lot provides
easy access to the beach and the walkover. Short walk to the bay, which is nice for a afternoon walk, run, or bike ride.

Our family lives in the Metro Atlanta area in the city of Johns Creek GA. Lynn grew up in the Georgia coastal town of Savannah. David grew up in the city of Atlanta. We met at Georgia Southern College in Statesboro GA, we are parents to a beautiful & smart daughter, Sarah-who was recently married on the beach at St. George Island. When we are not escaping to the island, we are running a business we started in 1981, Computer Movers, Inc.
We are also parents to 4 cats and 2 dogs-Harley, Dewey, Beau, Tucker, Belle, and Winston.
All of our pets are rescue pets-Both of our beach homes are pet friendly and we want you to feel free to bring you four legged family members when you visit.
Because both of us love working in our yards, we landscaped both beach homes, and in a short time realized what a harsh and difficult environment we were going to be at war with! The salt, the wind, the stickers, dollar weed, storms...but over the years we have become quite the experts on the island vegetation, shallow wells, and landscape irrigation.
St. George is our getaway, we hope you will feel the same after your visit.

Thanks for letting us share your beautiful beach home. We were surprised how spacious it was-loved the 2 living rooms. The kids played in the pool and or the beach, adults too. We had so much fun with the bikes. All of the restaurants on the island were great. I loved "That Place on 98" in Eastpoint. the seafood chowder and the key lime pie were the best we had. We had a wonderful time, The Knowles, Quigley, and Carter Families

Three families of 4 = 12 people enjoyed a great week at Aloan By The SeaWe had 3 great days of sun, lots of rain, and wind and finally some sun again. Beautiful Home with everything we needed. Heated pool was just what the 6 kids and adults needed. The beach was beautiful and empty. We went into Apalach for oysters at Boss Oyster and ice cream at Ebbys. Thanks for letting us unwind, relax, and have a great time with family and friends.

What a wonderful place to come with the family. We had three generations here this week and enjoyed every minute of it and want to stay longer. The kids enjoyed the pool and ocean, but the Bunk beds were the biggest thrill. This was our 1st visit and looking forward to return trip.
