Enjoy any season at Winter Park and relax in our cozy getaway! Let us spoil you with our extra amenities and special touches. Our Slopeside Getaway is an affordable, newly redecorated, warm and inviting condo which was built in 2000 and is conveniently located minutes from the base of Winter Park Resort. It has a roomy, 1980 square feet on two floors and includes a heated one-car garage. It is bright and cheery with lots of windows and a double set of sky lights. The bedrooms, kitchen and dining room are furnished with log furniture and there are wood accents throughout, including a tongue and groove cathedral ceiling on the second level. In addition, because Winter Park is a year round vacation spot, you will find decorations pertaining to year round sports activities, such as skiing, snowshoing, sledding, fishing, boating and golf with more to come.
Our get-away is geared towards the whole family. The ground level features an entry foyer with closet, boot bench and wood coat rack, providing plenty of storage for your sports equipment and gear. There is a laundry room complete with supplies, iron, ironing board, and clothes drying rack. NEW in 2007: Office center with free WIFI internet connection! Two bedrooms and a full bath complete the first level. One bedroom has a queen size bed, night stand, TV/DVD/VCR and large closet. The second bedroom contains two sets of bunk beds (sleeps 4) with coordinating linens, TV/DVD/VCR, Nintendo-64 and closet. Bay windows in each room provide lots of natural lighting and a view of the birds on the outside feeder. For our younger guests, the bunk room also includes kid-sized chairs, books, puzzles, toys, and games. *High chair and portable crib (pack and play) available upon request.
The second level contains a spacious master bedroom suite, furnished with a queen size bed, two night stands, TV/DVD/VCR and dresser and includes a large private bath with shower, soaking tub and walk-in closet. A third full bath is located off the living area. And, in 2005, we added all new furniture in the living room, including an overstuffed chair and ottoman in the "reading nook", a loveseat and a sleeper sofa which contains a double size bed with an extra long, extra thick mattress. The sofa and love seat face the cozy fireplace and entertainment center as well as the large picture window, from which you can view the slopes of Winter Park. An oversized gourmet kitchen, dining area and covered deck with gas grill and glider complete the upper level.
After a winter's day of skiing, snowmobiling, or sledding, or a summer's day of hiking, fishing, boating or golfing, Slopeside Getaway is the perfect place to come home and enjoy a cup of cocoa, cider, tea, local micro-brew, or glass of wine while you relax, unwind, and recharge. Soothe your muscles in the master bath Jacuzzi tub or outdoors in the covered hot tub. Bask in the warmth of the fireplace while you watch a movie, read a book, or play a board game - all provided for your use. Munch on cheese and crackers while seated on the bar stools around the island bordering the well-stocked kitchen. Or, take your snacks outside on the deck and enjoy the view of the slopes.
In the winter, take advantage of the free shuttle which picks you up at the entrance to the complex and transports you to skiing, shopping, and restaurants. Your rental also includes the use of our family sized locker located in the lower level of the West Portal Building, where you can store your winter or summer gear as well as lunch, change of clothes, etc. We also provide information on local activities and year-round equipment rentals, as well as eating and shopping spots.
