We invite you to our home away from home on Ten Mile Creek, Ten Mile Island Complex located in the town of Frisco, Summit County, Colorado ... minutes away from incredible summer biking, hiking, sailing on Lake Dillon and fishing on the Blue River- a perfect family vacation spot.
Winter skiing is world class. Keystone, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Arapahoe Basin and Loveland ski areas are a 15 to 20 minute drive. Vail and Beaver Creek are approximately 30 minutes drive. Year round FREE shuttle service to all Summit County Ski areas and towns is a few short blocks away.
Our ground floor unit has Ten Mile Creek running just feet from the patio and Mount Royal is just out the front door. A cozy real fireplace with lots of wood on the patio, a fully equipped and remodeled kitchen, and wooded setting will make your stay a true escape year round. Summer hummingbirds will greet you on the back patio, and blue jays year round.
The unit sleeps 4-6 in about 1100 square feet. The master bedroom has a California king size bed, feather duvet,tv with cable and DVD, adjacent bathroom and separate sink area. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, feather duvet, sink in the room and bath down the hall, and the sounds of Ten Mile Creek just outside the window. The large living room has a queen size sofa bed.
The cupboards are stocked with everything-even spices and teas. Games, puzzles, books, music CD's and videos/ DVD's are yours to use. For the kids, a complete set of classic Faerie Tale Theatre videos. We have also compiled a dining guide and detailed list of our favorite places in and around Frisco/Summit County. Wi Fi access in the unit. We also have 2 adult mountain bikes, complete with helmets/locks and European baskets available for your summer and fall use. Bike trails abound in Summit County.
The charming town of Frisco is an easy walk from our place and has many restaurants, shops, coffee bars and historical attractions. Away from the crowds of the large ski towns, Frisco has a real home town and very green feel. A great group of Colorado people are in the town to serve you. No need to hassle the parking at ski areas. The free Summit Stage offers close and free access to all Summit County ski areas. Access to bike and hiking paths are only blocks away.

Why the Owner Chose Ten Mile Island
After years of camping in the mountains and renting places in Frisco from friends, we found our mountain escape in 2005. We love the mountain stream outside our bedroom and living room doors and the simple living that we enjoy while up there. We can leave our car in the lot and walk, bike or bus anywhere we need to go- a real escape from the busy city life.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We have furnished our place in a way that we would want it furnished for ourselves, from movies, to books to simple cookbooks and bikes for summer and fall rides. Frisco is the ultimate small town, walking or biking distance to everything yet not the typical busy tourist town. Part of our willingness to rent our place,when we are not there to others, is a sincere desire to share it and keep it alive rather than leave it empty. And our guests consistently reflect their welcome feelings in their comments back to us.

Peter and Maureen are former midwesterners (south side of Chicago) who have been in love with Colorado for many years. Our 4 children were all born in Colorado and love the outdoors. Although we enjoy living in central Denver, our escape is to the hideaway in Frisco. Our picture reflects a wonderful vacation in Alaska.
We have met visitors from all over the world through VRBO, both renting to others and from others for our own travels. We love VRBO people who honor our home and provide us welcome homes all over the world.
