Year Purchased: 2012
About: My grandfather built a one bedroom cabin on Henry's Fork just above Mack's Inn in 1950. As a result, I have been coming up to Island Park since I was a baby. It was always the highlight of my summers. After getting married, I brought my family up to enjoy the little cabin and the surroundings. We grew too large for the little cabin, so elected to buy a larger place where our families could fit and enjoy.
Why Island Park: This property is our escape to paradise as far as we are concerned. I can sit in the kitchen nook area and look out on Mt. Sawtell, the golf course, meadow and antelope, and the mountain ranges beyond. The amenities inside the cabin with its pine walls make it so comfortable... I guess we need spoiling in our old age. We are only a short mile from some outstanding fishing on Henry's Fork of the Snake River (where I have been catching fist since I was 4 yrs old.. am now 70).
