View of the house and the garden - Castiglione del Lago, Umbria Holiday VILLA SERENA - UMBRIA - CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO - PERUGIA Not only the splendid panoramic position over the Umbrian countryside, but also the elegant “frame” that encloses the property, consisting of the golden wheat fields and the surrounding hills, as well as the refined interiors and all the comforts of home, make Villa Serena the perfect meeting point between the old and the new. Hidden behind a hill and advancing along the country road, which you have to take in order to reach it, Villa Serena comes slowly into view and then reveals its full charm to the visitor reaching the entrance. The exterior of the villa, part in stone and part in stucco, is distinguished by a wide paved open space, with the pool on the right hand side of the house and a spacious garden with a wide view over the valley. Recently restored and finished with prestigious materials (wood beams and hand made terracotta floors), Villa Serena is equipped and furnished in such a way, satisfying even the most demanding guests. PARK: the property consists of approximately 6 ha, with a perfectly maintained garden, filled with flowers, olive and fruit trees. SWIMMING POOL: open from April 2 8 th until October 0 6 th. The rectangular shaped swimming pool measures 5 x 12 m, with depths varying from 0,60 to 2,00 m . and is provided with a changing room, a bathroom, a small kitchen and a barbecue. INTERIORS: ground floor, the external porch leads to a double living room, with a fireplace as well as comfortable couches, a Hi-Fi system that is connected to all the rooms in the villa, a modern, fully equipped kitchen, a dining room with a large table for 16 people, a toilet and a laundry room. Adjacent the kitchen you will find an apartment for the domestic staff (who do not reside in the villa), with an independent entrance. First floor: a beautiful stairway with terracotta steps gives access to the first floor, which on one side leads to a spacious study provided with a telephone and fax, a sofa bed and the master suite with a double bedroom, wardrobe and bathroom with bathtub and shower, and on the other side leads to a sitting room with a balcony, a fireplace, a couch, a satellite TV, VCR, and 5 bedrooms divided into: 3 double bedrooms all with en-suite bathroom and shower, and a double bedroom sharing a bathroom (with shower) with the adjoining twin bedroom. SERVICES INCLUDED: electricity, water, gas for kitchen use, weekly linen, initial and final cleaning, daily cleaning (from 9:00 to 12:00 am, Sunday excluded), swimming pool and garden maintenance. SERVICES UPON REQUEST (supplied and payable locally to the owner): extra cleaning (€ 15,00/h), extra linen (€ 10,00/person), telephone (€ 0,30/unit), heating (€ 1,00/litre), firewood (€ 15,00/100 Kg.).
