Before you enter, take a moment to enjoy the beauty and charm of the street. The old church two doors down with its serene flower-filled courtyard; the ivy-covered mansion across the street, the purple bougainvillea that frame the front door.

Step inside, and the magic continues. To your right, off the entry foyer, is the first of 3 beautifully appointed private bedrooms (this with queen-size bed), all with en suite baths and fireplaces. To your left and up a winding staircase, a 2nd secluded bedroom with two double beds. Ahead...a glimpse of sunlight, the scent of flowers and sounds of a gently trickling fountain beckon you up four steps to the house's charming central courtyard. As you glance upward at the butter yellow walls, the beautiful French doors and windows, the flowers cascading from every level, you could be anywhere...Tuscany, Provence, or San Miguel Allende, the city than "Conde Nast Traveler" named one of the 10 great travel destinations in the world!.

From the courtyard a pair of French doors lead into the relaxed yet sophisticated Living Room with fireplace. Decorated in a French Country style punctuated with local Mexican art, this is the perfect place to gather in the evening to exchange stories and admire the day's purchases. A short flight of stairs takes you to the kitchen, dining room and powder room and, overlooking it all, a charming den/TV room with adjacent breakfast terrace. The modern Mexican-tiled kitchen has a large center island which opens onto the dining room where a stone wall and cloud painted ceiling add atmosphere for convivial indoor dining. Atop the terrace and the central courtyard, is the master bedroom suite with king-sized bed, fireside sitting area, and large, luxurious bath.

Capping it all are two magnificent flower-filled terraces with breath-taking views of the city and surrounding countryside. One shaded, with outdoor kitchen, large dining table and chaises, the other, basking in sunlight. Whether lounging by day amid the lavender blossoms of the Jacaranda trees or dining al fresco with the twinkling lights of the city spread before you, San Miguel and Casa Rosa-Marguerite will enchant you with their magic.
