Keywords:  Condominium

Morse Mill Condominium is situated on three acres directly across the road from Smugglers' Notch Resort and Ski Area which offers some of the best and most challenging skiing in the East. We are not part of the Smugglers' Notch Resort complex. The condominium is private but close to the ski action with two decks which look out on to the three mountains that make up the ski resort complex.

Cross-country skiing is possible from the door of the condo and the ski slopes are less than a five-minute walk. There are slopes for children's sledding on the property. We have a rushing brook that cuts through the property and a private pond that children enjoy playing in. There are many water holes in the area to cool off in on a hot summer's day. Daily passes for the Mountainside pools & waterslides may be purchased at Smugglers' Notch Resort during the summer months. Zip Line Canopy Tours are available year round at the Resort and are available to non-guests. This is the first Zip Line in Vermont.

The condominium is approximately 1100 sq. feet. It has an open living room/dining room and fully equipped kitchen. The master bedroom has twins beds with ensuite bathroom; second bedroom a queen size bed; third bedroom a double bed. A fold-down bed is available for an extra person. There is a second full size bathroom.

The condominium is tastefully and comfortably furnished with a wood-burning Vermont Castings fireplace (firewood provided). We provide bird feed to stock the three feeders on the deck, which attract a wide variety of wild birds. There is a rushing mountain brook that cuts through the property and a pond that attracts wild ducks and other water birds. In the summer, we are a five-minute drive from Stowe, but a 45-minute drive in winter due to the fact that Smugglers' Notch Pass is closed to traffic.

Why the Owner Chose Smugglers Notch

Our condo has a fantastic location - across the road from one of the best ski areas in the East. Our condo is situated on 3 acres of private property. SuperBowl Weekenders, 2012

Guest: Alice (The Villages, Florida)
Date of Stay: 02/05/12 Review Submitted: 02/08/12

Seven adults from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Florida met at Morse Mill for SuperBowl weekend for some terrific skiing and snowboarding. Smuggs' three mountains were amazing, especially the natural snow in the glades on Madonna and Sterling. Morse Mill was just a few steps away from the main lodge of Morse Mountain, right across the street. We cooked for the whole long weekend with plenty of pots and dishes, while enjoying the woodstove with ready to go kindling and logs. The living space was large for our big group, plenty of room to watch the new tv for the football game. Bluejays and winter sparrows and chickadees visited the deck all day for our viewing, as we gazed at Madonna through the sliding glass doors.

Owner response:Thanks for your review. We look forward to hosting you and your group next winter. Regards, Cheryl & Norm Savage

Just a quick note to thank you for letting us stay at your great condo. It was everything we'd hoped for - convenient to Smugglers but just far enough away so you felt a little removed from it all. We would definitely stay at Morse Mill again if we return to Smugglers and would recommend it to friends.

We were very, very happy with our stay here. You can't beat the location. Very clean, especially the kitchen and bathrooms. We loved the wood stove in the family room. 5 minutes after we walked in, the owner called to see if everything was going OK for us. We would stay here again, no question. Many thanks to Cheryl and Norm.

Thank you Cheryl and Norman for allowing me and my friends to stay at your condo. I stayed at the Morse Mill condo from 1/14/10 - 1/17/10 with my husband and 4 friends (total of 6 adults). The condo is very spacious and fit all of us comfortably. The condo is clean and very welcoming. It has a great view of the mountain and a fire stove that kept everyone warm. The condo is in an excelent location - only a 5 minute walk from Smuggler's Notch resort. We snowboarded at Smuggler's Notch for two days. We were worried that the mountain would not have a lot of good trails but we were wrong. Smuggler's Notch is a great mountain for both beginner and advanced boarders/skiers. It is also not as expensive as other mountains like Stowe. We loved that we could walk and carry our boards to and from the mountain. We had an amazing trip. We hope to return next season!

Morse Mill is a perfect location for a vacation near Smuggs. It is reasonably priced, the owners are very attentive to your needs, and you feel secluded from the resort, but still close enough to be involved with its activities.

Cheryl and Norman were very pleasant to work with, and the Morse Mill condo could not have been closer or more convenient to Smuggler's Notch resort. My friends (a family of four) enjoyed staying at the condo, which was clean, spacious and very welcoming. Thanks for all your wonderful communication before and after the rental (even finding out what fish were in the fishing pond!), and appreciate the opportunity to rent from you!

We had a fabulous time skiing. What a nice place to call home. Your condo was comfortable, clean, convenient, and a wonderful place to come back to after a hard day on the slopes. We hope to stay here again the next time we're in Smuggs. Thank you for making our weekend complete.
