This is an historic property, a Creole Cottage built in the late 1700's. The unit has two bedrooms and a half bath upstairs and master bedroom and bath downstairs. It's located right in the heart of the Quarter so everything is within walking distance, even the Saints games at the Superdome. Also we have a co-located townhouse available across the Courtyard from the main house with two bedrooms if the main house is booked or for larger groups. Sleeps 6.

Located in the Heart of the French Quarter...just doors down from Bourbon and Royal Streets, yet nestled in an area that is in the center of the Quarter and more residential with less noise. We are about a block from Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop, the oldest Bar in the USA, and the actual Blacksmith Shop of the Pirate Jean Lafitte. You can walk to the Superdome from the house too. Everything is walking distance that the Quarter has to offer. We are in a safe area too. The house was built in the late 1700's and is post between brick, which is indicative of the oldest buildings in the French Quarter.
Year Purchased: 2000
About the owner: I am a native New Orleanian but live in Mississippi, this is our New Orleans French Quarter home.
Why the Owner Chose French Quarter: Safe in the heart of the Quarter close to everything but far enough down into the Quarter to be nestled within a mostly residential area where the noise level is more acceptable. We are literally a half block from Bourbon St however.
The Unique Benefits at this House: Rear Cottage sleeps 4 people and has a brick courtyard / patio in the rear.
