Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
Because we love Colorado and to ski, Breckenridge was a wonderful fit for our large family with it's quaint historic, Victorian homes and shops and beautiful mountain views. Plenty of fun activities both summer and winter for all the family.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home on the sunny side of town has spectacular views of the mountains and is just steps away from the new gondola. Makes it a great location for varied groups- hard core skiers can be out all day while others can come and go. No need for your car to leave the garage after arrival.

We had a big group of friends rent this for Oktoberfest last year and it was perfect! The multiple levels lends great for those wanting a little more privacy. I was in the master bedroom on the main level and couldn't hear a peep from any of the rooms below. The hot tub was great with its amazing view and we really didn't have too big of a problem with parking, but then it was the off-season. Thanks, Ellen!

Our group of 10 adults and 3 toddlers stayed in this house for a long weekend getaway and we couldn't have been more pleased with the location. It is a half a block from Main Street and an easy 5 minute walk to the gondola. Perfect for skiing and walking around downtown Breck. There is also an amazing view of the slopes from the deck. The two major downfalls were the layout of the home and the lack of parking on site. The kitchen and living room area is very small and with our large group we felt cramped for social and eating space. The house has a vertical layout with three levels. Master, living room and kitchen on top and then two levels below with additional bedrooms/bathrooms and parking is on the lowest level. There are a ton of stairs in this home as well (so not the best for young children.) The other negative part was the parking. The home only has room for a max of 3 vehicles. With 5 families sharing this house, we had 5 vehicles and we had a very hard time finding parking in downtown Breck for the extra cars. All in all we would recommend this home due to it's wonderful location and views. The owner (Ellen) was also very nice and easy to work with.
Owner response:The home is not built or equipped to house 5 families. This group booked it for 8 adults and 2 children, which is what we as the home owners prefer and advertise it as accommodating. The home is a new Victorian in the old historic town of Breckenridge. We met extensive regulations when building per the town of Breckenridge to preserve their historic designation, atmosphere and history. Many of the older homes in Brec do not have garages, but we are lucky to have one. It is our family home built for our own family with 4 bedrooms.

Excellent Location. Home is right in town next to tons of restaurants & shops. Daylight Donuts, recommended by owner, is outstanding. And be sure to walk to Fatty's for pizza. And if you visit in the summer, like us, you can work off all this food by mountain biking in Keystone (10 minute drive), 4 wheelin in Vail (30 minute drive) or participating in the Zipline/ropes course adventure in Glenwood (90 minute drive). Home is very nice & clean. Only a couple small drawbacks: lots of stairs in home, TV in livingroom is hard to see & hot tub didn't work well. But don't let this deter you from this fabulous place. Thanks Ellen!
Owner response:Hot tub is a 'soaker' tub which seats 8 snuggly or 6 comfortably. We have a superb hot tub maintenance company that keeps it very clean and always running top notch. We prefer to enjoy the view and sitting and talking, and the jets work fine they just aren't as forceful as this person may have liked.
