Enjoy all the comforts of home in this spacious, affordable 2-bedroom, 2-bath condo! Great for families. Located on the ground floor of the middle building in the complex, our condo is easily accessible, convenient to parking, and just a few steps from the hot tub.

GETTING AROUND
Leave the car at home! It's just a short walk to the Mountain Express bus stop (free transportation between Mount Crested Butte and the historic mining town of Crested Butte)
We chose Ponderosa because the units are quite large and feel like a home, not a hotel room. Although we live in Kansas, we are "hands on" owners and do most of the care and maintenance ourselves during our visits to Crested Butte. We take pride in providing our guests with exceptionally clean, comfortable, reasonably priced accommodations!
Minimum stay is four (4) nights. Reservations must be made at least 2 weeks prior to arrival date. Discounted rates available for stays of 10 nights or more.

The condo was perfect for us, the short walk to the base every morning gave us a chance to get collected so the location was great. The well equipped kitchen allowed us to stay in and cook on most nights since exhaustion would set in early and just staying in and enjoying the hot tub was all we wanted. One of the best ski vacations ever!

We visited Crested Butte over 4th of July with a group of 42 spread over 9 condos. This was one of the nicest units we used, living up to its billing in every respect. Condos in the Ponderosa complex are quite spacious, and this one is very clean and well maintained. If you've stayed in other resort condos, you'll appreciate the importance of these factors. The owners spend their summers in another unit in this same complex. While cordial and helpful before and during our stay, their presence was unobtrusive. Our reservation confirmation was accompanied by a .PDF brochure that includes contact information in case of questions or problems. The brochure also features useful guest tips, such as restaurant recommendations. This is a property I can recommend without reservation; we are very likely to stay here again. Both the property and the rates compare well to others in the area. Known to many as a ski destination, Crested Butte is also a great place for summer getaways. It bills itself as the Wildflower Capital of Colorado, a claim that's hard to dispute. The area is legendary among mountain bikers. Many old mining roads remain to be explored by 4WD and ATV. Other trails are open only to bikers, hikers, and horses. Several nearby wilderness areas provide hiking opportunities with greater solitude. A web search on "visit Crested Butte" will turn up links to sites featuring information about seasonal festivals, cultural activities, area recreation, and local businesses. Mt. Crested Butte Village and the historic mining town of Crested Butte offer a range of shops, galleries, and restaurants. Lovers of Thai food will be delighted to find Ginger Cafe. The food is excellent, but if you like it "Thai Hot" you'll be disappointed; they don't seem to understand the concept of a blazing tongue. Oh well.

great location - great condo. Easy walk to slopes and sometimes we were in time for the shuttle from the parking lot. The condo was very spacious and had everything we needed. we love Crested Butte. the lift lines are never long even during peak season. would definitely stay here again. Bevery was very pleasant to deal with.

First, I would like to say that we have fallen in love with skiing at Crested Butte!!! We love the slopes, the restaurants down in the town and how friendly everyone is!!! Our stay this year at this property was great! The beds are very comfortable, the condo was so clean and so close to the base!!! We could walk there in 5 minutes which allowed us to go and come with ease. We highly recommend this property and look forward to returning!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.
