CLOSING INDEFINITELY 8 OCT 2012
Located near Afton in beautiful Star Valley, Wyoming, 1 hour south of Jackson Hole. The Reunion Ranch provides families with an ideal setting to hold large group reunions where relationships can be strengthened and fond memories created. It is also perfect for multi-family vacations!
Originally a hunting lodge, this beautiful hand-hewn log cabin is on 27 acres of hillside overlooking beautiful Star Valley and borders 660 acres of BLM land. It comfortably accommodates up to 24 people. It has six bedrooms, four baths, and two family rooms, pool table and air hockey. There is one king-size bed, 3 queen-size beds, 6 bunks and 2 extra long twin beds. Additional sleeping on couches and floor mats. There is plenty of room for tents and RVs near the home. There is an outdoor covered pavilion with barbecue and seating for large groups. On those cool nights, make smores by the outdoor fire ring.
Summer sportsman's paradise:
* Summer motorbike trail riding is awesome!
* The Snake River provides world-class, white-water rafting during the summer months (tours available).
* Take a easy bike ride on the back roads of Star Valley or a more challenging one up in the foothills.
* Golf, horseback riding & swimming close to ranch.
* Horse rentals (guided or non-guided).
* ATV & river raft rentals (guided or non guided).
* Hunters will find some of Wyoming's best hunting including trophy elk, deer, sheep, and bear.
* Fishermen will find three amazing sport fishing rivers within minutes including the Salt, Snake, and Grey's rivers. Salt River access is only four miles from the ranch. Lake fishing is terrific in Jackson and Palisade.
* Afton is a quaint rural town for shopping or picking up most anything you need.
* Close to all of Jackson's world-class golf courses, spas, and shopping. There are four golf courses in Star Valley within minutes of the ranch. Three 18- hole courses and one 9-hole course. The Afton course (Valli Vu) has recently been renovated to 18-holes.
* For the adventurous climber, the Grand Teton, just outside of Jackson Hole provides a very challenging climb.
(Consult the ranger station for safety information.)
* Both Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks are less than three hours away.
Jackson Hole:
* Famous for its art galleries, handicrafts, sportsman stores, and dining, Jackson Hole is a must see for a casual shopping day or even a girl's night out!
*Or, my favorite, curl up by the crackling fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate and your favorite book (or someone special)!

Our family of 11adults and 9 children had a fabulous Family Reunion at the Reunion Ranch. We think the Reunion Ranch was ALL that it purported to be. It was great for an active, outdoor loving family. The outside pavilion, downstairs game room, back yard fire pit and fenced in dog area were perfect for all of us to have a very relaxing and FUN time. The place was well stocked with everything you would need in terms of sleeping, eating, entertainment. They even had a train table in the basement that our toddler loved. The teens enjoyed air hockey and DVDs downstairs while adults talked upstairs. We took a trip to the Jackson Aquatic Center in Jackson Hole and canoeing on Jenny Lake in Teton National Park, one of the nation's most beautiful parks. We went ATV riding in the nearby mountains and enjoyed family planned activities in the yard and pavilion. We ate all our meals at the property except for a sack lunch we took with us to Jackson. We loved the western and hunting and Native American decor and the place itself was just delightful. Thank you for having a wonderful place for larger families to run, play and explore and not be afraid of laughing out loud with joyous, happy sounds!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our family just stayed here over Memorial Day weekend, and it was perfect for us! Lots of land for kids to run and play, beautiful scenery, and a lovely cabin. Afton is really close if we needed a few extra supplies, but we still felt like we had escaped a little from the world. The train table was great for the little kids, and we really enjoyed the pool table and air hockey tables as well. There is no piano. Four of the rooms have Queen or King beds (one of which has one set of bunkbeds with it, shown in the pictures) while the other two rooms only have twins (one had 2 sets of bunkbeds and the other had two twins). The Laundry room is big enough that you can blow up a queen size air mattress and someone else can have another room, if you need it. They also have a net for volleyball that you can set up. If you reserve in the late summer-winter, there's this cool hike nearby that you should check out, one of the few "periodic" springs in the world. Apparently, it turns on and off. When we went, there was too much spring run-off for it to actually shut off. Google it! It was only 5-10 minutes from this cabin. The owners are really great to work with. We'll definitely be coming back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Our family has stayed at the Reunion Ranch many times. Usually in the summer, and once in the winter. We love the quiet, peaceful tranquility of Star Valley. No close neighbors to interrupt us. The kids love to run around all of the wide open space, ride bikes & motorcycles, and even our horses. It has plenty of pasture for the horses to run around. The basement with the pool table & air hockey is great for the kids as well. We have 6 families in total, and we each were able to have our own bedroom, with a lot of the kids sleeping on the provided pads in the family room downstairs. They love it! We like to go up the nearby canyons for hiking and horseback riding. The owners have always been very kind and helpful, and we've never had any major problems. We will continue to come back and stay here as long as it is still rentable! We look forward to it every year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We loved the Reunion Ranch! It's an absolutely beautiful cabin in a prime location. Our family made full use of the pool table, air hockey and train table. The family rooms are spacious and easily accomodate large groups. It is a short distance to hills for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and hiking. The cabin owners are friendly and very helpful. They were quick to respond to any questions/concerns. We will definitely be coming back!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.
